We went into this pizzeria because we fancied pasta, several choices of which were on the menu. To be objective, it is best not to judge on first impressions – but the table wasn’t clean and after the waiter had cleaned it, it was still very sticky.
The place did seem popular and it was obvious by the greeting some customers were getting that they were repeat business.
We ordered aperitifs which came promptly and then ordered mains – spaghetti and tagliatelli. The first sign of trouble; I’d barely taken the froth off the blonde beer when amazingly the food arrived – too fast for comfort. Both were disappointing to say the least. The spag bol looked insipid with a spoon of mince on top, the mushrooms expected in the tagliatelli were absent and the smoked ham pieces were too tough to chew. The parmisan cheese was such a yellow colour you could mistake it for sawdust.
In fairness this was not expensive, so there is some truth in the old adage “you get what you pay for” but if it’s not up to standard it’s a complete waste of money. To try and add a positive note, the waiter was prompt and attentive. (And MAYBE the pizzas are ok??)
Verdict: Based on the meals chosen, poor quality food, will not be going back.
