“another good lunch”
Reviewed 13 January 2014

Liz and l had lunch at Paul et Roger with good friends on Friday 9th Jan 2014. It is very good for a lazy lunch or a quick shoppers lunch by taking the formule set menu. The wine by the pichet is also very good quality.

Very friendly service and very French ambiance.

As we live only 20 mins from St Lo it is one of our favourite restaurants.

“The Charm of French Cousine”
Reviewed 30 September 2013

It is a well-known fact that travelling in France, once has to keep the proper hours of food. So, we decided to drive into the next town and look for a place. Just off the center of Saint-Lo we found a parking place and looked around. And by a pure chance we stopped at this small and charming bistro.

The owner came to the table and tried to describe the "Plat de Jour". But basically, since our French and his English was at the same level, it was a question of "viande ou poisson", i.e. "meat of fish". All four of us decided on meat.

I really don't know what we ate, but the stuff was great. The sauce caused us to finish three baskets of bread and the plates were licked clean. Despite the original idea of not having a dessert, we asked for a single plate of dessert assortments. Each one of the samples was at the level of the best desserts I ever tasted. Not too much sugar, exquisite play of tastes. And all this (including a bottle of wine, of course) for something like 20 euros per capita.

So, if you are in the area, drive in, sit down at the table, ask for the chef's suggestion, and enjoy the ride.
