“What a balanced meal !”
Reviewed 12 July 2014 via mobile

A deeply personal kitchen.
Wellbalanced on a high level.
Starter - mussels with herbs- nice and tender.
Main course - lamb with horsebeans, lentils and pesto - full Of taste. Cheese, naturens and wellchosen.
Dessert a wonderful balance Of acidfilled tastes.
Finally even the coffee was exquisit.
Go there for lunch during the Week or better dinner friday night!

“Vegans and vegetarians, you are welcome here!”
Reviewed 16 April 2013

Since I first reviewed Le Goût Sauvage, I have become a vegan, and I just want to say that the Goût Sauvage has been wonderful. I have had two vegan meals there in the past few months, neither of which was on the menu. The chef put them together for me, working with what she had at hand. I have been absolutely delighted both with the quality of the food and the flexibility of the staff to deal with my veganism. In one meal, the main course was a split pea soup with cumin, and in the other it was a dal with coriander, and both were scrummy delicious. So thank you, Le Goût Sauvage, for these excellent meals.

“New kid on the block”
Reviewed 14 December 2012

Le goût sauvage opened this past year in Saint Lô and is a welcome addition to the town. The philosophy behind the restaurant is slow food, locally sourced. You can order à la carte or a daily menu. The last time we were there, the daily special was a shrimp burger, which was delicious. It was spicy but not so much that you couldn't taste the shrimp. The bun was home baked, not at all like the standard hamburger buns. I've eaten there twice and been quite happy with it.
They have a good selection of artisanal beers and wine.

Recommend booking a table. Open for lunch Mon-Fri, and dinner with piano music on Friday nights.
