We were warmly welcomed by the chef/patron who had a lively sense of humour. The room was very comfortable and stylishly furnished, with large shower room. There was a kettle and tea/coffee-a welcome touch. We had a small enclosed terrace, and rooms upstairs had balconies. The restaurant was first class, with excellent seafood dishes prepared with a dash of originality and finesse. This is definitely fine dining, with prices to match, and well worth it. Breakfast (not self-service) was taken on the terrace - excellent coffees and pastries. Both hotel and restaurant well worth a visit.

Nice location along the beach. No real frills but clean and staff friendly enough. We didn't eat at the restaurant because we were just in town to visit friends but I would recommend it for a place to stay.

We came across this hotel by chance and found it very comfortable and clean. We chose a room on the first floor with a side-sea view but no balcony as this was the least expensive option. Cleanliness was very good and the bathroom very recently re-furbished to a high standard. The breakfast was the most expensive we encountered on this trip but the quality was good. The restaurant was not serving evening meals on the two nights we stayed there but there are others within walking distance. The owner is a delightful character with excellent English.

we enjoyed our delicious breakfast on the restaurant patio overlooking the sea and beach every morning and, were very pleased with our balcony room. Because we were exploring the region we ate our main meals at midday where ever we happened to be by lunch time. In the evenings we strolled along the sea front before retiring to sit out on our balcony with a bottle of wine and our books.

Booking in for 3 nights, after finding the cleverly photographed website, we expected more of this hotel. The front faces the sea, but the rooms are built at the sides. The only sea view would be from an upstairs room with small balcony. The restaurant, at the front, is very attractive, and we felt that a lot of effort had gone into it. The proprietor is a chef, with a Bottin Gourmand award, but we found the prices extortionate and didnt eat there.
Bedrooms were tired, swirly carpets, orange bedspreads, ginger paint......but they were very clean, and kept so during the stay. The ground floor rooms had a small terrace area with a table and chairs to sit outside.
What a shame that the bedrooms had not been brought up to the decorative standards of the restaurant.
