We spent 9 wonderful nights at Spiti Prifti at the beginning of July. It was so quick to get there after arriving late in the evening. Eleni had organised a taxi to be waiting at the airport and we arrived to home made cakes and water in our apartment. A fabulous start.

The apartment was absolutely spotless. It was a real bonus to find washing up liquid and soap dispensers in the kitchen and bathroom, a safe with key in the bedroom, as well as a folding clothes drying rack on the balcony. The two bedrooms were very spacious, as was the balcony. We had a first floor apartment with a beautiful view of the pool and gardens. The kitchen area had all the utensils and crockery that we required to make our own breakfasts and lunches. All these little extra touches really make Spiti Prifti stand out from other accommodation that we have experienced when travelling around the Greek Islands.

Above all, however, was the wonderful personal welcome and service we got from Eleni and her fantastic team of workers. Glynis who runs the pool bar during the day and Babis in the evening, the outstanding cleaning ladies who cleaned our apartment every day (apart from a Sunday) and the wonderful gardener who maintained the most beautiful gardens. Everyone of them had a smile on their face and a cheery greeting whenever we met any of them. We were so impressed how they remembered our names - it made our children feel very special.

The pool was fantastic and spotlessly clean. There were always sun loungers available and you could choose to lie by the pool or in the garden and listen to the amazing cicadas. The pool bar was very good value and we really enjoyed the food we ate there.

We would highly recommend this wonderful accommodation to anyone travelling to Corfu. It truly is outstanding and well deserving of its' high ratings. It is only a five minute walk to the beach and our children had a wonderful time searching for crabs, fish and sea snails and even found a seahorse one day! We couldn't believe it! It is also only a five minute walk into the village of Gouvia or to the marina. An ideal location and also on the main bus route into Corfu town. Well worth a visit.

Thank you Eleni for the amazing filoxenia and for being so patient with us while we practised our Greek! We will return.

With a spotless apartment, immaculately groomed gardens and perhaps the best pool-bar area for miles around, our family of 4 had a tremendously relaxing week with Eleni and her team at Spiti Prifti. Clearly with Eleni one is in very capable hands. She assisted constantly with guidance, phone calls, map-reading - in short she simplified our vacation and helped solve a few difficulties. Spiti Prifti's exceptional reputation is well-deserved. Just one minor gripe. There were moments when non-residents, attracted by the wonderful pool facilities, ruined the ambience. On two occasions, we had to contend with a foursome of foul-mouthed lads, using the oasis of Spiti Prifti to nurse their hangovers. Ideally, there should be a sign - "access to pool for residents only" - but I appreciate that most visitors bring in additional revenue. In the final analysis, an excellent spot and we certainly want to go back.

Just returned from a weeks stay at the Spiti Prifti apartments. I had chosen these apartments because of their number 1 ranking in Gouvia and was not disappointed.
They are beautiful family run apartments and grounds. We stayed in a 2 bed apartment, both bedrooms having air conditioning at no extra charge. The pool area included a poolbar which served breakfast, lunches and evening meals all at very reasonable prices.
Whilst the apartments are next to the main road from Corfu town, the only place you could hear traffic noise was at the pool and you did get used to this.
The apartments are extremely convenient being within easy walking distance of both Gouvia and Kontokali and the bus stop to Corfu town is just outside the apartments.
Eleni and her staff are friendly and efficient. On arrival, we were greeted by Eleni who had left a complimentary bottle of water and cakes in the room for us. Eleni, Glynis and Babis (at the poolside bar) were excellent and could not have been more friendly or efficient.
Overall, an excellent place to stay.

We just wanted to say how wonderful our family stay was at spiti prifti. We occupied 2 x 2 bedroom 1st floor apartments no.s 5 & 6 in the building nearest the car park and balconies facing the marina and the old Gouvia road. The apartments were both spacious and clean, with all the facilities you would expect. We particularly enjoyed the shower performance after a hot scorching day. The pool was large for the number of guests, immaculately maintained and there was always a sun bed to be had, wether on the terrace by the pool or on the lawned area in the beautifully kept gardens. Glynis during the day and Babis in the evening made sure that we were looked after and attended to at all times, always a welcoming smile and greeting. We were much impressed that they remembered all our family names from day one of the holiday. We much enjoyed the banter we had we both of them during our stay.
The apartment was just a short stroll to the centre of Gouvia, the Marina and into Kontonkali to all the restaurants, tavernas and bars etc. (7-10 mins walk in any direction) our favourite restaurant was 9 muses in Gouvia centre. Although adjacent to the main road none of us were particulary bothered by the occasional noisy truck or screaming scooter. The heavily planted tree borders ensured that most of the traffic noise was minimal. The advantage of being by the road was the proximity of the bus stop to Corfu town /Dassia, right outside the complex. Although we did not see any marking as a bus stop in the Corfu town direction we just stood directly opposite the stop in the other direction and thankfully this is where we hopped on. The fare is 2 euro paid on the bus (1 euro 50 cents return fare pre paid at the ticket machine on the way back at the bus stand) Be prepared for a tight squeeze on the bus if travelling at a popular time, how many people can you fit on a bus competition!!!
We can honestly say that Elini and her staff are some of the nicest people that we have ever had the pleasure of meeting whilst on a holiday. It actually felt like we had been invited into their family home as guests of the family. Nothing was too much trouble. Elini even discovered that it was our wedding anniversary on the last day of the holiday and laid on a complimentary bottle of bubbly for a toast with our evening meal. Thank you Spiti Prifti for a wonderful stay, we certainly hope to be returning soon. That's if there's a room given all the wonderful revues!!!!

Room Tip: 2 Bedroom apartments No.5 & 6 are spacious, nice and quiet and have balconies facing the sea / Marina. View not inspiring! Wouldn't spend the evening sat on the balcony but ok for a quick breakfast.
