Ranked #11 of 30 Hotels in Goynuk
Reviewed 21 May 2014

I have been spent in this hotel couple of days during the conference organized for our partners. There are my impressions divided on positive and negative.
Positive:
1. Location is good - just in the center of Goynuk, close to all shops, if you like it.
2. The room was well-sized and good standard equipped.
3. Quality of food is really good. Especially I was happy about fresh cooked flat cakes with airan))) Simple but really tasty.
4. Wi-Fi is working everywhere, even on the beach.
5. Nice hammam and massage. Recommend!
Negative:
1. Very limited choice of meat/fish dishes. Really untypical for Turkey.
2. Drinks are not good quality. Only white wine and beer are drinkable by my opinion.
3. Poor room service. Like example - my room was cleaned only after 2 p.m., free mini bar was not updated well, shampoo was supplied only once.
4. Horrible light in the bathroom. No bathrobe.
5. Big deposit for beach towel - USD 15.

So this hotel is good example of hotel standards flexibility in Turkey.

I was in this hotel from 19th march 2014 for 5 night but all of the swimming pool were empty, bars were close exept one, and all the hotel services that they wrote in their facebook and catalouges was lie.
Its not just about weather condition hotel was under recostructing, too many workers were repairing the hotel facilities everyday and we were not feel comfortable in hotel enclosure, with this condition they made in the hotel they should not hosting any guest.
service was very poor.NOONE could speak english.reception was a disaster anytime we ask a request from them they screw us.
very very bad hotel.

I went with a group in December 2013. Very big building with a new (really cold) extension. Maybe they need it in the summer and then it looks better. We were not on all inclusive basis and this might be a problem as I realized that staff is not used with guests who want to pay to drink something. Or to eat for that matter; one night we came back a bit late (21:15 hrs) and buffet was beyond poor. One night we were invited in a gala dinner...service was very poor (i.e. you don't tell a guest who wants to drink a fruit juice that this is not included and go find it in the bar!!!) We were out all day so I can't judge the facilities. I can tell though that the staff is with no experience and rather not helpful. In all departments, especially the reception.

We had spent 11 days at this hotel between 28 July- 7 August 2013 and I would like to WORN you, everybody interested NOT TO GO THERE!!!! Please choose another hotel, because this one is really dissapointing!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Me and my family had spent the last 5 summers in Turkey and we had been hosted by wonderful hotels like IC Green Palace (2 times), Akka Antedon, Fantasia DeLuxe. We simply could not look for another place to spend our vacation in but Turkey. Every time we felt ourselves so good, that we always decided to come back the next year.
What we saw and what we experienced at Kilikya .... I have no words to tell you:

- you can get only one key-card per room!!! (not to use air conditioning when you are out)

- IF YOU DO NOT SPEAK RUSSIAN, you must wait for the only one person at the reception able to speak English!!

- even when working, air conditioning was so powerless, we felt like melting in the room day and night...

- if you want your beach towels to be changed, you can do it until 3 p,m,, not later! And, the changing takes place in a hidden corner of the hotel, in the Spa Center, at level -1, not in your way to the beach or back!

- Ladies and Gentleman, please note that this FIVE STAR hotel HAS NO WC on the beach!!! You must walk from the beach into the hotel, and reaaaaach the WC- hopefully you succeed. Also, you can not be sure you will find hygienic paper inside...

-food was very repetitive, the restaurant allows very short mealtimes, I have never seen people standing in a row at the entrance of the restaurant to get free table! (especially at dinner)! After 10 p.m. ALL YOU CAN FIND IN THE RESTAURANT IS 1 SOUP, nothing else!!! Wow! What an ultra all inclusive variety!!! In the evenings you could BUY POP CORN! This was not part of the UAI. Also pure orange juice was for 3 EURO!!!

- turkish coffee available only in the lobby bar, where you can (of course) not enter only dressed up accordinlgy.

- no peanuts served, they do not know this word! So we came home from the land of panuts without eating one!

- all beverages are served warm, rarely chilled, ONCE I GOT MY BEER SERVED IN A GLASS ON WHICH I NOTICED ROUGE, FROM A PREVIOUS CONSUMER....:-(((

- Be prepared to find TIP BOXES all around you in the hotel! Disgusting to feel it is all about the money!!!

However, TWO THING was extrelmely good at this hotel: the fascinating landscape and ....the ANIMATOR TEAM! This team is the best we have ever met in TURKEY! Congratulations and many thanks to everyone! Hope you will find another hotel which comes up to you!! ! Best regards! Melinda

Room Tip: 3rd floor and above.

Had nine day stay here in Feb/Mar and were lucky enough to enjoy temperatures around 18-20 degrees. Not quite the five star it bills itself but very comfortable. Lovely views of the mountains at the front and all the rooms face onto the pool and the sea beyond at the back. However, we seem to have been accommodated in a new build whilest the older one was being refurbished, next door. Were not disturbed by noise or anything.

Majority of the other guests were German - we were the only English people, though most staff seemed to have some English so language was not a problem. Some of the Germans seemed to be on extended stays, five weeks or more.

The food was very good for 'all inclusive' and the chefs worked hard (as did all the staff) to ring the changes.

It was not warm enough to use the main pool but I made good use of the indoor one which was a bit cool and the jacuzzi was never heated though it was reported three times.

We had booked this stay through Travel Republic who have now dropped it - don't know why. Would recommend it to anyone who wants a quiet break in beautiful surroundings. It is more than an hour from the airport and would recommend booking transfers before you go, it seems to be much more expensive when you are there.

It might have been a problem not being with a tour company but we happened upon a gentleman called Al-Adin of Joy Rides Travel Agency which we found on the street as we were walking down to Goynuk. He arranged three trips for us including one just for us to see antiquities and the Antalya Museum. He also informed us of the weekly street market. There was no information like this in the hotel.

Room Tip: We had rooms facing one end of the pool with the sea beyond. The sun shone straight into the room i...

This hotel is nice from the infrastructure level, but when you get in; do not expect a 5 star service. Beach towels at $15 deposit with a receipt, then they give you cards, then you need to go to spa to get the towels. Only one room key is given to you, and if you lose it because you are at the hotel pool, they charge you another $15. Also you cannot put a credit card type card in the card holder to keep the AC on (kids wants to sleep and you want to enjoy the night out). And the staff is barely speaking English. So definitely not a 5 star hotel on the service side.

Room Tip: there is a new building built on the left hand side, those of much better

I really enjoyed my stay in the hotel. It was a long-wanted break after very stressful time at work. Therefore all I wanted to do was sleeping, eating, swimming. The hotel was perfect for it. The room was neat and nice. The food was the best I ever ate. Large variety of fruits, veggies, cheeses, fish and meat and most importantly - Turkish desserts.

I came there in May and the hotel was only 30% occupied. Most part of the visitors were older people, families and visitors with kids. This hotel is more of a quiet family place. There are bunch of hotels around that are aimed for young people where you could possibly go to hang out.

There is a very nice Spa center with Turkish sauna and soap massage, which is amazing. If you want to do that you need to do it on your first day before you tan. Skin becomes very soft and radiant. If you do it after tanning, you will loose part of your tan.

If you get bored, there are bunch of tour options provided in the hotel. Most part of them are day trips. I should warn you that most of them include shopping stops at the carpet factories, soap factories, wineries etc. and that is what takes up most part of the day. Make sure your guide understands that you would like to leave more than 30 minutes for sightseeing in an ancient place, otherwise you might end up with traveling for 9 hours to spend 30 minutes in Pamukkale.

I would recommend this hotel to anyone who wants to have a good relaxing vacation.
