“Disappoinment”
Reviewed 29 August 2012 via mobile

Very low quality food, poor service, extremely busy stuff.. There are plenty of better hotels in the region even for lower price. I can easily say that, this was the worst hotel that i have ever had stayed in Turkey for holiday.

we spend 1 week in lamer kemer hotel.considering you must dont mix the lamer art hotel and lamer kemer hotel.Albeit in webpage they are same but you must be notice they are two diffrent hotel that very close to each other, but lamer kemer anyhow in better than lamer art.
POSITIVE GLEANING :
lamer kemer is'nt deluxe hotel but all along the line it's a good hotel with good service.
On there you meet the beautiful seascape and highland lanscape in one abreast.
The garden environment is so beautiful. There are nice and lovely beach with two pools. The beach was formed half sandy and half gravel.
Entertainment teams are very attractive and exciting.a lot games with funny shows nightly.
Colorful and delicicuse food and tasty drink.
There are more free game such as tennis(if you have rocket),table tennis, dart, beach voley, smal aqua pool with 2 slide and ...
NEGATIVE GLEANING :
The water of swiming pool is'nt clean. When we was there, there are a big russian man(near to bear) that how swim with his little son on pool and his son dont wear anything and he constant CRAP in the pool and there are'nt anybody to admonish to they.
my camera was stolen in poolbar.night manager and other employee's hotel dos'nt any thing about it.They constant replay ((what we doing?))Even they dont apologize of me.they behavior is 1 star no 5 star.
All ends up if you are asian or russian and you traveling with your family and you want to rest in the tonic and cool place, and dont want to spent many money, lamer kemer in good alternative for you.

The hotel was probably built in 1990s and since that time they prefered not to spend any money to renew the hotel infrastructure, everything was old.
We stayed for 6 days as 2 families with kids.
The rooms are average in general, but if you do not need the bathrooms.
During our entire stay, some of the staff were friendly but the service quality was not satisfactory and in almost all over the hotel they were understaffed. (e.g. They could not clean our room for 2 days due to lack of housekeeping personnel. We waited in the reception more than 1 hour (until 15:30) to get into our room because there was only one bell boy in the hotel. There was only one waiter serving in the dinner to more than 60 persons in the "ala carte restaurant".)
In the interior parts of the hotel such as main lobby, main restaurant, spa centre, bars there was not a proper air conditioning system.
In the spa centre just located below the main restaurant floor, there was a very heavy meal smell and the staff was lackadaisical.
The meals were poor in terms of variety. They serve generally poultry rather than red meat. The capacity of the restaurant was not sufficient.
Thanks God that there were also some good things to say about the hotel and our voyage. The sea was very clean and the beach was fine. The pool was very big, clean and not crowded but maybe a little bit deep (160cm) for someone. The animation team were friendly and some night activities were really interesting.
Shortly, the main policy of the hotel management is cost cutting all over the hotel instead of ensuring guest satisfaction. I can easily say that i will not go this hotel again and will not offer anybody.

I was here for a week n the experice was just perfect, rooms were clean, food variety was awesome, staff were so friendly n willing to help n make holiday makers laugh.. The entrainment team next to pool was so cheerful ( specially Simone) n open bar was providing great range of beverages and best of spirits which some hotel charge while they say it's all inclusive!!! I didn't see any serious problem but my suggestion for entrainment team would be to give away prizes and vouchers to game winners to encourage more people to play.. ;)

We spent in La Mer hotel 2 weeks. First of all, some pictures are mixed with La Mer Art hotel, but still in the pictures some things are better than in real life. When we arrived then we got our first shock - the reception did not speak english (only russian and turkish). I wanted to ask where is the toilet (we had time to get our room) and one of the client service person stopped me middle of my question and told "No english" and walked away. If you arrive and its not yet 2 pm to check in to your room then your bag is last to lay on the reception door. If you are a russian or turkish then you get the tour around the hotel. Otherwise look for yourself. English is spoken very little in the hotel at all and it is very difficult to solve the problem.
Another shock received when we got our room. It was single room. It was so small that two people could not walk together inside. The balcony was on top of the conditioner so the noise was unbelievable. The balcony itself was so small that with one chair it was impossible to be there. Luckily our travel agency contact person came in to the hotel to give us some kind of overview and then with her help we changed our room to bigger one(bigger, nicer). The beds are not soft. Seems like sleeping on the floor. The reception was not very happy. Safe in the room is for extra money and it costs 3 $ per day. We had a lockable luggage so we decided not to spend our money on safe.
Food was average. You are not starving but its not the best food. Sometimes during those two weeks they organized special events and then the food was different. Within those two weeks (does not matter how long you stay) we had a free al a carte restaurant visits. The food was okay and turkish kitchen was the best so we decided to visit that again and paid 40 € for two person. In al a carte restaurants you must know that only main course was choosable. It was not possible to choose other courses even for when it was paid.
Our second room had a street view and we had a good night sleep but rooms with the sea view were actually tree view and sleeping quality because of the night club and loud music were impossible (one other visitor told us).
Hotel itself was try clean but the cleaner was little pit lazy unless you left tip. Service itself was good despite the low english language and reception. Service got better 100 % when you left tip.
Other hotel visitors were mainly russian and local. Unfortunately I can't say anything good about them as well.
However the hotel was qualified as 5 * hotel and UAIN then mostly they were charging extra lot of money for everything they could.
I do not recommend it unless you are not local or russian.

Room Tip: Sea view rooms are not worth paying extra money. Be aware that you are not getting single room if...

It seems that most of the reviews mix La Mer and La Mer Art hotel. The 2 hotels are very close to each other, but they are not the same. There should be a different section for both. We just got back from our honeymoon, we spent 2 weeks in La Mer hotel. Let me start with the 'bad' things: no wifi in rooms (only in lobby), only Russian tv channels, way too much noisy Russians, stuff speaks more Russian than English, too much loud music from neighbouring hotels late night, á la carte restaurant is a joke (no carte/menu, you eat what you get - no matter if you're eg. vegetarian...). Good things: good location, all inclusive restaurant is great, size of the hotel is good, pool area and beach is lovely and clean, water is clear, animation team is very enthusiastic, good programs, air co system in room, beautiful garden. Make sure you get up early enough to reserve sunbeds on the beach, Russians are early birds!

Room Tip: Sea view room is not really with sea view, trees in the garden block the view on the lower floors. D...

Location- it is a small village called Goynuk, some 10 minutes drive from the Kemer city centre. Area is not bad a bit kind of a park, because of the mountains around. The ticket from here to Kemer costs 3 Turkish Lira or 1.5 Euros. Right from the hotel entrance you can also get in a bus to Antalya (worth seeing - the biggest seaside city); some 1.5hrs drive; ticket 6 Turkish Lira or 3 Euros p/p one way.
Buildings of the hotel - the main building is quite large and new. However, there are nearby two-storey villas which are rather old but with lots of trees and green areas around them, which was better than staying in the main building, so when booking a room ask for a bungalow room! Furniture was very plain, simple and old. Cleanness in all areas was average, nothing to take your breath away or die for! TV set in the room was very, very small, so one could not watch TV from lying position. Room had an AC which worked non-stop, one could control it himself/herself. It was not centrally controlled from the main building of the hotel, so it was a plus.
It had two pools for grown-ups and one for kids, but the ones for grown ups were very very small to accomodate the many guests. Now, talking about guests and referring to my title of the review - 99 percent of guests were Russian, so one felt like in Russia and not in Turkey. One remark was that staff spoke only Russian and Turkish but no English whatsoever. They tried to be friendly but they were a lot more cautious and respectful towards Russian tourists. Age of the tourists varied - there were young couples, old couples, couples with small children....One thing that caught my eye and was annoying is that Russians tent to take all the cookies and fruits served with no regard whether they left anything for the others or not. They were filling their plates to the maximum extent and even took some for later in their beach bags.......
There was this animation team that performed each night from 9:30hrs p.m., but it was typical for this kind of leisure activity, some acrobacy, some fire shows, Mr and Miss La Mer Hotel and so forth.
The thing that I disliked mostly is the beach - indeed the hotel has its "so-called" beach but it is a fake one, which means it was made with some metal construction lying in some wooden floored bridge over the water so the depth was not naturally and evenly spread. There was no sand - the beach is full of rocks and even the water ground is full of rocks and it was not a rare case to cut feet and legs.
Food - there was plenty of food but no varieties among the days, everyday same things in bulk. Even though it was a seaside, they only two times served fish within ten days of our stay, and mainly served chicken and grilled veal. So, no seafood in this hotel!!!!
If you are not a Russian or a Turkish, I would not recommend this hotel to you, and if you love sandy beaches then again this is not the right hotel to book.
The transportation from the airport to the hotel (46km) in my case was taken care from the contracted company from Turkey, but this was taken care between them and the company of my homecountry with which I made a booking deal.

Room Tip: So, reserve bungalow rooms - they are not fancy furnished but are fresher than rooms in the main bui...
