“Dream vacation!!”
Reviewed 5 September 2013

My boyfriend and I had a perfect holiday in this hotel! The hotel has perfect location, Goynuk is small but very nice place with lot of shops. The hotel It's near the beach, and you just have to cross the small street to get on the beach. The hotel is very clean, all areas in it. Rooms are simple but very comfort, very clean with excellent air-conditoner. Also, our room had very nice balcony with perfect view onthe pool and sea. Every day we get clean towels and free bottlle of water. Food is excellent, it's very various, and every day you have at least eight different main meals with many various salades, spices, cakes...All day, near the pool and on the beach you have many different drinks like beer, cola, coctails, gin, votka, liqueurs, water....everyone can find somehing for himself. Also there is drink along lunch and dinner like wine, cola, sprite, water, tea...Hotel staff is very friendly and king and they really want to please you. Their English is poor but they really try to comunicate with guest as much as possible, and in the end be sure that you''ll get what you asked for. Receptionist speaks English very well, so on the reception you can get every important information that you want. My recommendation for you is to
take their package (with extra cost): sauna, hamam, and massage, because you'll feel like you're in heaven and it worth your money. The most of the guests during our stay were Russians but they were excellent guests and I don't understand why some people are complaining about them? The hotel has wonderfull animation team which enterntain you all day and in the evening. During the day, by the pool, you can play table tennis, dart game, water polo, water gym...and in the evening there is show time like disco night, comedy show, circus show...you'll have a lot of fun. In the end, we are very pleased with our stay in this hotel and we would not regret to come back again next year because we got everything we want and I highly recommend this hotel to everyone!

Room Tip: Rooms on the fourth floor (an attic/loft) have comfort balconies and the most beautifull view on the...

Not sure how it every received a 4 star. Staff are not helpful at all and very few speak English I would even go as far as to say they are very bad mannered. All inclusive a waste off money food same everyday and drinks are beer vodka gin or raki I asked for cocktail without gin and told that's the drinks take it or leave it. Also all inclusive ends at 23.00 hours. Rooms never clean 100% had to ask for a sheet on my bed as they only give you one. Then you get single sheet for double bed.bathroom so small like a sauna once you finished in shower no fan or extractor. I have been to turkey many time and have had some great holidays but this is the worst I have had in any country avoid this hotel like the plague. Avoid goynuk area nothing there go to Kemer much better.

The hotel is very neat and clean, including the pool area, beach and beach bar. Rooms are simply furnished but clean.
Food is various and very good, we really enjoyed it. Even though the hotel does not regularly provide baby meals, they did it for our 8 months old baby on our request, without an extra charge. Tip is understood.
Hotel stuff speaks very poor English, but they are polite and trying to understand and to answer our questions. However if you are a Russian speaker you won’t have any difficulties.
At extra cost you can try the package: sauna, hamam, and massage. It’s worth every penny.

During our stay, many kids and some of their parents caught stomach flu (diarrhea, vomiting and fever). Doctor advised to stay away from the swimming pool. So did us, in order to avoid such inconveniences. I find it irresponsible from the hotel management not to warn guests with the children about such conditions.
95% of the guests are Russian or CIS. This is just fine with us, however we were not happy at times with bad manners. To give you just one example: without any problem they would step in front of you while you are waiting for the elevator (by the way there is only one, with bad programming and way too slow), even though you are with a baby in the stroller.

The hotel might have reached a 4* hotel standard when it opened up however now in 2012 it doesn’t match 4* requirements at all. Overall hotel equipment as well as room furniture (and bathroom!) desperately need upgrade and/or at least cleaning. One would be able to go over it if the beach was clean and spacious and the food was good. However it was not. The food was the same each and every day (rice, chicken, pasta, tomatos, cucumber, eggplant), plates were dirty, sometimes you could even find mould on diary products and vegetable salads. Hotel staff speaks only Russians so basically there is no chance to complain or ask for improvement. If you really want to enjoy your vacation and have your expectation on 4* hotel level you should better pick another hotel.

This is my first review on Tripadvisor and I feel I owe it to Tripadvisor because I consult it for each single holiday. As a young family from Serbia we opted for Fame Residence in Goynuk, Turkey primarily because of the climate – we didn’t want unbearably hot weather for our 10 month baby. Kemer region where Goynuk is located is quite mountainous and almost always you can feel a cool refreshing breeze (our term was in june-july). Nearest larger town is Kemer, bus ride takes 15mins and costs 1.5 EUR.

Hotel territory size is adequate, pool is very nice as you can see from our photos, they also have a solid spa center, British pub and there’s a small aqua park for kids. It takes 2 min walk from hotels main building to beach and there’s a road to be crossed so beware of the Turkish drivers who don’t have the habit of passing pedestrians even on fully marked pedestrian crossings. Sun beds on the beach are solid quality and beach bar is pleasant place to escape the sun in the middle of the day. You can get inflatable water toys from the beach boy at no extra cost.

Fame Residence’s all inclusive concept is standard and fair. You pay only for mini bar (with exception of one bottle of water delivered to mini bar every day for free), imported drinks and extra services such as massage, washing of clothes etc. You can eat and drink all day except between 23:00 and 00:00 (room service between 00:00-06:00 is included in AI). Main restaurant is very close to the pool and around the pool you can eat snacks like “gezlemi” (traditional Turkish pastry with ingredients of your choice – you are watching them making it) or cookies later in the afternoon (one tasty kind of cookie is fried at the spot – I waited for 5mins at the times in the line for it but it was worth it).
Rooms are up to 4 star standards, they all have balconies and view on the pool and the hotel park. Wireless internet access is available only in the lobby. I see this as a minus because it will require a small investment to broaden the wireless range to include all the rooms, pool and even the beach. Another thing that annoyed me with internet is that they have some kind of keyword filter so typing even innocent words in Google like “advisor” will get you to their “access forbidden because of safety” page. Even going directly to e.g. tripadvisor.com will be blocked because it contains word “advisor”.
For lunch or dinner they usually had some meat or fish (mackerel) on the grill along with 5-6 other main dishes, salads of every kind, cakes, plenty of melons, watermelons etc. You could eat at beach bar with the nice sea view – freshly grilled mackerel was very tasty. Hotel staff will get out of their way for you – they prepared simple baby food for us at no extra cost.

As with almost all hotels in Antalya region most of the guests are Russian speaking (Russia, Ukraine, Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan etc.) and Turks. Basically it feels like you are in the Soviet Union  It’s funny – all the people including hotel staff will walk up to you saying quite complex things in Russian assuming you are Russian too. Anyway at least no drunken British youth around the pool like on our previous holiday (I am pretty sure that group never even saw the sea, they just lied wasted around/in the pool all day). All Russians and Turks we got to know were very nice, conversed with us over dinner, played and smiled with our baby although we did noticed that Moscow crowd is holding their noses too high in the air. Russians from other cities were much more down to earth and friendly.

Animation team is quite active and there were lot of them for a hotel of this size – the impression during the whole holiday is that the hotel is quite roomy - which is good thing, e.g. there’s a single line of sun beds around the pool, not 2 or more like we saw at the hotels nearby etc. Gala night was very nice, staff worked really hard setting chairs and tables around the pool and the show about Turkish culture was good. We loved their competition shows where teams or couples compete in silly and funny activities. Shows are held in Russian, Turkish and English. Pool music quits at 23:00 when partygoers are sent to beach bar.

I am giving the highest ranking to the Fame Residence because its staff is really motivated to keep you happy and trouble free. They were polite, smiled a lot and helped you anyway they could. Hotel should improve their internet access and remove filters for certain English words. I guess all Russian words are going through since every evening I saw like 15 people with netbooks surfing the web and they could not surely stand that kind of “protection”. The conclusion: definitely worth the money we put in, a very nice and relaxing holiday.
