We stayed in the beachfront cottage, with views over the beach & sea & a 10 minute walk into town. The other hotels are very close. We had our own private large Jacuzzi bath in the bedroom, which had a very comfortable bed, and a separate shower. The breakfasts were excellent with plenty of choice. Weather wasn't great whilst we were there, but we enjoyed walks down the beach & relaxing. The only difficulty was communicating as staff speak very little English, so hand signals & use of a computer translator we coped.

We stayed 3 nights in early January -- right in the middle of Brazilian school vacation. Part of the relaxed ambiance was the number of families with small children staying here. The nice ladies in the kitchen will prepare snacks on request, including fresh mango, caju and goiaba juices and, with advance notice, prepare delicious dinners. The breakfast buffet featured different home-baked specialties everyday, which was a refreshing change from same-old same-old hotel breakfast buffet when you are traveling.

The garden of the pousada fronts on the beach, which is lovely (althouh my wife was not prepared for the reef, so you need to wear water shoes to walk out among the tide pools at low tide).

The facilities are not luxe, which in a way makes it even more relaxing, but are clean and more than adequate. Plenty of chaises and hammocks under lovely large trees were highlights. We even saw a monkey at breakfast one morning. An easy walk to the village promenade, with the shops and restaurants, but far enough removed for peace an quiet.

For us English speakers, Newton at the front desk was indispensible -- very helpful, and as far as we could tell the only person on staff who spoke English. The entire staff was very friendly (one can understand a smile in any language).

Visited the pousda in August. Place was clean, has nice pool, good food and is in good location. Only issue was with owners who seemed not to be hospitable. Really irked us that they wanted good tables at breakfast reserved for themselves and sometimes they didnt even appear. With so much choice available we would not return.

This is my last day here and it has been sooooo relaxing, very quiet but near to nightlife if you want it. I was expecting to travel with a friend but came here on my own instead and it is totally fine to be here as a single woman. Service is friendly, rooms are beautiful and spacious and the wi-fi is free - very important when you travel alone and want to keep in touch with friends and family.

The beach is endless and when the tide is out there are rock pools to explore. The surf is strong, so no Med style relaxed swimming, except in the natural pools when the tide is out. The sun is hot here, so if you're European and fair take care but there is a constant breeze from the sea, so it's lovely to sit out (in the shade) all day.

Currently living here and so far what I can mention is that this pousada definitely is one of that you must live!
By the beach
Has a nice pool located between the apartments
Has few apartments! For us with a 5y old kid is really good as u can see him from any place close to the pool.
The rooms are simple but with a really good decoration taste! You do not need more when you are in the beach
The breakfast: by the pool , very good variation, fresh fruits and variety of warm dishes that can be ordered. Coffee is delicious!
The restaurant is the same for breakfast. For us it has been a huge plus the location by the pool as we can order and while waiting we can still be inside the pool. We have been eating lunch every day so far. Food is simple but very tasty. Price is average for Praia do forte.
The beach: I ve heard this is not among the best beaches in the area however, coming from SP, the beach is wonderful!
5min walking there are some barraquinhas that serve only drinks and is quite good because you can rent an umbrella needed for such an strong sun.
Projeto Tamar and the Vila are about 10m walking distance.
Definitely recommend!

The hotel is great. It is quiet and very well located. They also showed me great hospitality. I also saw many couples with small children. In brief,

Hospitality: The people working in the hotel are very sympathetic.
Cleanliness: it is one of the highlights.
Rooms: They are really nice and clean.
Food: The breakfast is very nice and well served.
Infrastructure: it has a nice swimming pool and a good infrastructure in front of the beach.
Location: it is located inside a condominium of houses, in front of the beach, near to the swimming pools of Praia do Forte (10 minutes walking), Tamar project (a project designed to protect sea turtles) and restaurants/stores.

We spent a weekend with our kids at this very nice hotel. The rooms are spacious and services very attentive. Upon reservation they already made reservations for a taxi with a child seat to pick us up at the airport. Allowed as a late checkout without any problems. Had several umbrellas to lend during rainy days. Served a very good breakfast. Great location, in front of the beach and walking distance from the Villa. We intend to come back.
