“Heaven in Devon”
Reviewed 5 May 2014

What was essentially a business trip became a relaxing break in a glorious part of Devon. Down a very quiet lane, nestled beside a stream, Frogmill is an idyllic hostelry, fully modernised but retaining its character. Hosts Ken and Sue could not have been more welcoming, and accommodating. We adored Red and Lulu the cats, and enjoyed bird-spotting as they flew down to feed at the window bird tables. The room was beautifully furnished, with everything we could possibly need at hand. Can't speak highly enough of the delicious breakfasts. Don't stay anywhere else when you visit this part of Devon - unless we want the room, of course!

Frogmill’s location is perfect; Ken & Sue are excellent hosts, friendly & welcoming with nothing seemingly too much trouble. Our room (Fingle) was spotless with great attention to detail and the grounds & garden immaculate. As for the breakfast – probably one of the tastiest we’ve had and we do regularly stay in good B & B’s. It certainly wasn’t mean in size either. The weather was less than perfect over our weekend, which meant that we didn’t have the chance to walk the grounds and still have unfinished business on Dartmoor. The plus side to that is that we now have no option but to visit again and stay at Frogmill - as soon as possible!

I can't begin to describe what a superb location this is. The B&B is done up to such an incredible standards with such attention to detail. Ken & Sue the host were warming and friendly and make an amazing breakfast and nothing it to much trouble. The location lends itself to visiting some amazing places. Would definitely stay there again and recommend anyone to try it. Was just such a shame we couldn't have stayed longer

We recently went to Frogmill for our honeymoon and could not have picked a better b and b to stay in. The cottage looks as if it should be on a chocolate box ,with a stream running by and pretty wild garden with free running ducks and hens. We had the medland suite and found it spotlessly clean with all the comforts of home provided. A superb breakfast awaited us each morning with proper bacon ,sausages and eggs from the hens. All in all a lovely stay with charming hosts who could teach other b and b owners a thing or two. many thanks mark and linda.

Room Tip: all are lovely

We spent a lovely weekend with our 2 dogs in the Fingle Suite at Frogmill. Ken and Sue were very warm and welcoming hosts, accommodating us with a late arrival and helping us to find local walks, points of interest and pubs for dinner. Breakfast was plentiful and very tasty. Highly recommend for a relaxing weekend away in a beautiful part of the UK.

We stayed at Frogmill for 3 nights but wished we had more time there. Ken and Sue were lovely hosts who really ensured that we had a nice relaxing stay. The cottage has been beautifully renovated and is situated on 9 acres so it is very tranquil. The breakfasts were fantastic and our hosts supplied us with maps and suggested routes for exploring Devon and the Dartmoor National Park. We would recommend Frogmill to anyone.

We stayed here on our way to Cornwall for just one night.

Frogmill is a pretty thatched cottage, modernised to a very high standard set on a very quiet and narrow road somewhat off the beaten track.

We were cooked a very nice restaurant quality meal by Sue - she is a very good cook!
actually Ken does a pretty good breakfast too.

If you are having dinner please remember to bring your own wine if you want any as they have no liquor licence of course.

The whole place has a nice feel about it, large gardens, chickens and Ducks.

The only tatty thing was Sues old teddy bear on the window sill.

Recommended.
