I was married at Iberostar on June 7, 2014, and although its taken me a while to write this, I really just wanted to give a special thank you to the staff. I had been engaged for almost two years before the wedding and that WHOLE time Syrecka and Janielle were amazing! I worked mostly with Syrecka who was ALWAYS responsive, polite, respectful, flexible, helpful, positive and all around a joy! I had a MILLION questions along the way, but Syrecka never made me feel like i was a bother and did her best to make sure everything was perfect. Once we got onsite the entire staff and food was just amazing from the beginning to the end. I want to especially call out Marvin and Presley who were just so pleasant and friendly and really made our experience great! Additionally our wedding day was just absolutely perfect!! Between the flowers from Tai Flora, to the staff at the wedding, to of course Janielle and Syrecka, to the DJ, I just couldn't have asked for anything more!!! Our families are Jamaican, so we asked that everything on the menu was authentic and not watered down like regular hotel food, but even outside of our wedding day, our guests who either still lived in Jamaica or are Jamaican RAVED about the food and fruits available at the hotel.

We had an amazing time and would do it all again in a heart beat! Counting down until our next trip!

We arrived two days ago for our honeymoon and have only amazing things to say so far!
The biggest concern for a honeymoon is that it is absolutely amazing since it is a once-in-a-lifetime pursuit! We may have had some slight trepidation coming here just because we typically spend our vacations at the best all-inclusive resorts in Mexico-- we are very happy that we chose resort in Jamaica !
we are surrounded by other honeymooners and are impressed with everything that comes along!
Of course, food is important .... everything we have had thus far has been delicious my husband eats a Paleo diet and I am vegetarian, no meat no fish, and the resort has had an abundance of healthy food that satisfies large variety of diets!
Find ANTHONY Who will be in the white Cooks' clothes with funky white glasses. He will more than gladly make you
anything you want! Last night he made me one of the most amazing tofu dishes I have ever had!!!! Who knew I could get vegetarian carb free delicious food with such special specifications at an all inclusive resort! This resort truly is no worries no problem mon. Our oceanfront room is spacious
and the beach is beautiful and ocean feels like a large bathtub!

Just returned from a short get-a-way with my daughter at the Grand. I've been staying at all-inclusive resorts all over Jamaica, the Caribbean and Mexico for over 25 years and this one is rated in the top 2 or 3 at least!
Even though the whole property is really lovely, clean, updated, well planned out....it truly is the staff that puts it over the top. We NEVER passed any staff that did not only speak to us....but actually asked how our stay was...what we'd been doing during the day....how had the meals been.....and it was all genuine!!! And one thing in particular I really LOVED....when they asked if there was something they could do or get for us....they REALLY meant it. WHATEVER you asked for.....they personally went and got it....they didn't pass it off to someone else or say it wasn't their job. That speaks very highly of the management and training as a whole. For example....Dexter who checked us in, saw us at the pool a few days later, and was talking to us and noticed we were almost done with our Pina Colada and went and got us more.....now THAT'S SERVICE (miss you Dexter!!!)
We absolutely loved the large rooms (bathrooms are the best!), comfortable temps in the room all the time, and the very nice, big balcony came in handy one afternoon when it rained. The 3 pools were never full....plenty of chaise chairs & palapas. Drink service around the pool was very, very good. Sonya & another girl were always bringing us fresh drinks.....didn't even need to ask. We never felt like anyone lingered and waited for a tip either. In fact....they seemed shy about taking them. The butler was always checking on us also. Anything we needed.....whether it was lotion or snacks he provided them quickly. I had mentioned it would be nice to have a couple of more mini-bottles of vodka and the next thing I knew he had brought us a FULL bottle of premium vodka....SWEEEEEET!
The entertainment was surprisingly VERY good. I've started to just skip the resort type entertainment as it's usually not very good or the same hokey stuff......but this team.....oh man. The energy they put out for the entire show......from start to end......had everyone on their feet clapping and wanting more. And then after the performance the team comes out and sits and visits with the guests.....AMAZING!!!!!
Food was VERY good also. We had lobster for lunch and dinner EVERY meal. You are lucky to have it once at other resorts. Oh, and the filet at the surf & turf......melt in your mouth!!
Appreciated the free Wi-Fi too!!
I could go on and on about what I like about this resort....but the main thing is.....THIS will be the ONLY resort I'll go back to in Jamaica!!!!! (and this is after staying at ALL the Sandals in Jamaica) :)

This was our first trip to Montego Bay, so we were really hoping for a good experience. We upgraded from Iberostar Rose Hall suites the week before after some friends told us how great it was. So glad we did! The first few days of our vacation were spent just the 2 of us... total relaxation. We met up with several friends later in the week for a destination wedding- it only got better! There are areas by the beach and pool for whatever mood you're in that day...you can be totally left alone by the cabanas (with interruptions only by servers bringing drinks or chefs bringing cake- so decadent!!!) or you can have some fun by the swim up bar and get involved in dance contests or bingo. It was the perfect blend of high quality yet laid back style. Our butler seemed to pop up somewhere every day, and was always ready to offer his services (we had several through the week and all were top-notch). One night he noticed we had no reservations and there was no buffet that night- so he set up a reservation for us "just in case". The grounds are beautiful, kept meticulously clean. Restaurants are very nice- excellent food at Italian, Surf & Turf, and Jamaican by the beach as well as the buffets. There is truly something for every palate. We discovered that each bartender has his specialty drinks also, nice to try out. Everyone was amazing to deal with- but I have to mention the star friends Krystal "Diamond", Thunder, bartenders O'Neill and Avian, and server Jodi Kay...all exceptional :) I took advantage of the spa as well- had one of the best massages by Charmaine- although friends had other therapists and felt they were great too. Evening shows in the theater were a nice way to end the day. The dancers were beautiful to watch- full of energy, and the singers did justice to the music. Star friends popped up there as well as back-up dancers- we have no idea when these people sleep! The only slight negative was we somehow dropped off the housekeeping radar for turndown service the last 2 nights. We can certainly do that for ourselves- but it is awfully nice to return to your room after dinner with soft lighting, chocolates on the pillow, with slippers laid out. It honestly was one of the best vacations we've had. Looking into another Iberostar Grand hotel location for next year.

Room Tip: Oceanview rooms on a higher floor offer the best of both worlds... can see all the action by the poo...

Beautiful place to stay, I was located in the GRAND and it was absolutely beautiful and my personal butler "Duran" was a big help. I had my wedding there and he came whenever I called for him. I highly recommend this place!

Room Tip: If you can, stay at the Grand.

The resort is great, but other reviews can tell you more about that. Let me tell you how one person can make a difference. First you should know that I work in commercial real estate including hotel development and management and I also teach and lecture on the topic of consumer behavior and consumer dynamics.
When you arrive in Jamaica for an all inclusive vacation you will learn very quickly that many people are trained to offer help either as a requirement for their job or as the result of direct tip compensation history... i.e. a positive reinforced behavior. These efforts lack sincerity and conjure distrust, which is worrisome when in a foreign country because your fear is that you will be taken advantage of in some way.
During our trip here we met Jodi Kay a wonderful example of what hospitality is supposed to be. Jodi did not make us feel like it was her job to serve us, rather she made us feel like it was her pleasure. She worked non stop all day and never once spoke with us without a sincere smile. We asked her all kinds of questions about Jamaica and the resort, questions you would expect may annoy someone in her situation since every week new people show up doing the same thing... but Jodi was happy to answer. She is clearly proud of the resort she works at and proud of her culture. I could go on but let me just conclude by saying I know what we train people to do in hospitality but no matter how well you train it is worthless if you don't have the right people. Jodi - Kay is the right person for hospitality, she made us feel sincerely welcome because we knew it was important to her that we had a great time. Thank you Jodi - Kay you made our trip!!

i have never written a review before so i hope i will do some justice.

this is our fifth trip to Montego bay and the first to the Iberostar Grand. we were so impressed with the level of service and it seems it was done without effort. we we never felt that we must tip at all but we did tip at the end of our stay and the service i must say again was so wonderful.

excellent restaurants(surf and turf,JAPANESE, gourmet and italian) you wont be disappointed in the food at all unless you are really mean and picky. the entertainment team(kiki,patti,and crystal) were very nice.

the hotel is like a museum, so sentimental in built and beautiful beyond words, the property is very clean and the staff made sure that it does.

the Butler service was great. they will do anything for you even if its small. they will try and see you in the room in the mornings then on the beach or pool during the day and in the evenings, they will even see you in the lobby if they must. what i admired about them is that they made the effort to see you at all times even if its to leave a note in the room.
we traveled with 38 other people and they were all taken care of by their butler. Leon and Stanley were absolutely amazing.

i do hope my review helped, i am new at this. do not hesitate to book the grand at all, you wont be disappointed. the staff will take care of you.

Room Tip: corner ocean front rooms are the best,getting a room that end with 24 will be just as great.
