two married thirty-somethings stayed 3 nights 4 days. The air conditioning in the rooms, at restaurants, at the piano bar, the gym and all over the resort, was very weak....we were always hot and always sweating. Everything in the hotel room was damp feeling, including the sheets. not sure if this had something to do with the air conditioning. We had to wash the clothes that we didnt wear when we got home because everything was damp and wrinkled. There were black outs that didnt last long but still happened sometimes 3-4 times per day (sometimes while i was in shower). the water pressure in the shower was terrible, took a while to wash sand and soap out of hair. Also, the wi-fi service and cell phone service was terrible hardly worked. The food was okay, as expected for an all inclusive, we generally do not like to do all inclusive vacations because we rather eat gourmet food and not get the belly aches that usually come with all inclusives. the restaurants were okay, the salad bars were what you would find in a franchise steak house in the US....nothing special. i rather be served then serve myself especially while on vacation. DON'T EAT THE HAMBURGERS. I have no idea what meat they are made of but tasted terrible, inedible. The men have to wear pants and collared shirts at the restaurants. This is a bummer for men that rather wear bermuda shorts especially since it is so hot everywhere with their bad air conditioning. The beach....plenty of chairs were available, the service was okay but not excellent, the servers did disappear a lot. the outdoor beach and pool service could have been better. the bar tenders didnt mind adding extra shots to their special drink "dirty banana" which was delicious. In the ocean there were rocks that you had to walk on that hurt your feet for about 10 feet till you get deeper in the ocean. In general i think this hotel needs some upgrading, the resort just was not spectacular. Regarding the island itself i was not impressed. i have been to 7 islands and this one was my least favorite. Just not one of the beautiful Caribbean islands. There was also two cloudy winding overcast days, out of the 4 we were there, although it looked like it was going to be a beautiful day the day we were leaving. We didnt do any tours and the resort didnt have much water sports by the beach. Also, if you dont want to be around kids or you are taking a vacation from your own kids, this is not for you because it is a family friendly resort and there are kiddies everywhere (though they mostly stay in the pool). When you order daquiris you have to tell them to add liquor because the kids order the daquiris.
