I've stayed at this hotel on several occations due to work travels, and I have not been disapointed one time. Very similar too other Thon hotels. I can recommend the restaurant within the hotel, wich holds a good standard. Free wifi in the rooms a huge bathrooms. Nice beds.
Small town, and a prime location makes this a good hotel also for turists.
I¨ve stayed here several times, both in the new and old part of the hotel. This review is based on staying in the new part, I can´t recommend booking the cheaper rooms in the old part (they are clean but very outdated)
So, the rooms in the new part are nice and modern, and cleaning is spotless.
But if you sleep light you are out of luck, especially in the rooms that have aluminum decorative panels under the windows as these gives no sound proofing what so ever from the outside. So you´ll be hearing cars passing by and people chatting outside as if there was a window open (I spent some time looking for the open window before realizing this). Especially annoying is the youngsters with noisy exhaust driving forth and back all night. Cant really blame Thon for that but if sound proofing was normal it wouldn't have been to bad.
Service is very good most of the time, especially in the breakfast lounge I´ve met very friendly staff. Breakfast selection is not the most impressive but is certainly sufficient and looks fresh and delicious.
The hotel is centrally located within the town and is very close to the waterfront, shops, bar, and some restaurants. The rooms had free wireless connection, the sleep quality was ok and the room was kept clean. There is a restaurant within the hotel that has some very good seafood dishes. Outside the hotel there seems to be some sort of construction going on, probably building more space for the hotel or something like that, so be aware of the noise until they are done with that. The staff were friendly and within minutes of walking you would've seen almost the whole town from this location.
