If, like me you are very wary of vegetarian food being a bland, tokenistic afterthought on many menus, with the usual, 'nut loaf and veggie tart' offerings, then try the Cheerful Chilli.
We celebrated with our family, a wedding anniversary and birthday, last night and enjoyed the 'banquet' for six (and a half with our 4 year old granddaughter).
We have eaten at the Cheerful Chilli a number of timers before and have always accepted the offer of a 'doggy bag' to finish the delicious food the next day.
Last nights banquet came at a nice pace, with each course as delicious as the previous one and just as I felt that I couldn't eat any more, after a good pause, the sweets arrived. The homemade selection couldn't be ignored and finished off a lovely evening. The old, stone farmhouse setting and the service and staff's relaxed friendliness always makes the experience of eating at the Cheerful Chilli exceptional.
Oh bye the way, I'm not a vegetarian. I enjoy meat and fish and vegetables when they are served up as good as they are here.
