A seafood restaurant where the locals eat and chat. It is hard to get a table. Long queue but worth to wait. The waiters dont speak english however they are very helpfull. Value for your money.

A typical Spanish fisherman's restaurant, no frills, but always fresh and tasty fish and seafood. A good place to mingle with the locals.

We go there twice a year (for the last ten years) and it is always first-class. Virtually only fish, but
so fresh you smell the sea. A range of fish, either grilled or fried, and you have either a "racion"
or a half "racion", but repeat this two or three times with different fishes. Service is very rapid under the control of Paco, but if there is any weakness - it takes ages to get the bill. Prices are
very reasonable. They have two separate places, 50 metres apart - but either will persuade you to return.

The fresh fish is excellent the service is good and the price is very fair, if you decide to go, go early or you will have to queue.

I was taken for a late lunch (3pm) by my aged Spanish relative and what a treat. The place was full and noisy with enthusiastic local business men, tradesmen and family groups. The decor was simple and traditional and the service was quick, efficient, cheerful and enthusiastic. The local Campo Cruz lager was good and very well chilled and the plates of excellently prepared and simply cooked and presented were top drawer. We had a plate of a beautiful simple Tuna salad, a plate of fried Hake in batter (almost English style): A plate of sweet whole small fried red mullet (I think) and a beautiful whole grilled fish. (See the photo) 3 beers, bread and 4 excellent plates of fish followed by a desert for my host came to less than 40 Euros. By 4pm we were the last guests and we were joined by the chefs, owners and waiters eating their lunch and yes you have guessed they were all eating the same superb fish. (A couple had that Spanish delicacy Heinz ketchup which surprised me). If you want the authentic and simple give it a try. I will be back to try the shell fish next time.
