“tripping the light fantapastic”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 28 March 2014

found this place completely by accident tucked down a side street in a small 'place'. An absolute gem. Well priced, good quality food with prompt, efficient service. The stuffed tomato was a tasty accompaniment to tender silverside. The menu is in Spanish only. The restaurant was surprisingly popular (singles, couples, families and groups) and busy on a Monday evening in mid March with a friendly vibe.

“Typical Argentinian”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 2 August 2013

No frills. Just honest good Argentinian cuts "en la parrilla y a tu gusto". The solomillo is the tastiest and most tender meat you'll find anywhere. The tapas available are great and very reasonably priced. Black pudding is my favourite. Service is very relaxed, if you can call it service at all. Because its not a restaurant so do not expect to be pampered. The meats are cooked right infront of you by Eric, the chef, who is very friendly and generally cool guy. Chat with him and he'll constantly be offering you different things to try, for free. He is passionate about his different cuts available, and you can see he is very proud of being Argentinian in Spain showing people how meat should taste. (Not the crap fillet you get in Waitose) We're talking about world class beef here. I come here at least twice a month and its awesome every time.

Please note this is Hacienda Patagonica on a street parellel to the Main Street. Not to be confused with the one in the square, or with Resturante Patagonica (which is a much more formal restaurant with very good service).

Hacienda patagonica is a great argentinian tapas place and it'll be difficult to move on especially after seeing the price of decent wine like Protos and Yllera. You'll want to stay the whole evening and stuff yourself.

“Very unexciting”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 18 November 2012

Came here with a group of 8, pretty typical of la linea bars. Very unglamorous setting, food is very basic. Empanads deep fried beyond recognition, most other things drowning in oily cheese. I gave it a 3 for food because i never expect too much of these places.
