“Very nice stay at CERISE”
Reviewed 24 March 2014

I spent two nights at CERISE MAISONS LAFFITTE. It is very convenient to reach La Defense business center, in less than 20 minutes with RER A. Rooms are quite confortable and pretty large. Much more affordable than a room in Paris. I strongly recommend and shall come back.

The good points, hotel is in a great location, it's cheap and car parking is provided.
However it needs some serious work, rooms are old and tired with worn carpets, damaged lighting and loose bathroom tiles, breakfast choice was poor. The pay in full on check in and are given your invoice then.

The rooms are the largest I have ever had in a hotel. Breakfast is not great, but at € 50 per night one shouldn't complaint about that.

The village of Maisons Lafitte offers some very nice restaurant and is also worth a visit!

We stayed in this aparthotel for a few days prior to a wedding, and found it to be very suitable for our needs. The bed was large, very clean and comfortable, the room spacious, with a kitchen area, separate toilet and bathroom. The kitchen facilities meant we were able to sort out our own meals, with a microwave, fridge and equipment. One or two of the items were missing, but overall perfectly suitable.
The room was clean, but although the bed was not made every day, the waste bins were cleared. The hotel is about 5 mins walk from the station, which is the mainline train into Paris, and takes about 40 mins overall with one change.
There is a large chateau just behind the hotel with grounds accessible for walking. There are several supermarkets within a short distance, and I believe a car park is available, although we did not use it.
For the price of the accommodation it is good value for money. I believe the hotel changed hands about 6 months ago, when the present manager took over, and he is striving to make it better and better, We would stay here again if necessary.

Room Tip: Ask for a room at the back of the hotel, away from the road which runs around the side and front.

As a family we stayed at the hotel one week (2 children 8 and 10 years old). A lot of space in this one bedroom which allowed to keep the family happy. Lot of light as well - kitchen small but equipped with all you need to ccok breafast and lunch. Price reduced in relation to level of services you ask for. Be careful, you can't have an agressive low price for a room in this area of Paris with cleaning included every days! Nice breakfast and convenient garage. A fantastic place in comparaison to what it used be last year ! It has been totally transformed by the new owner... and still under refurbishment... so I assume that with the time the level will be even better.

Room Tip: Lot of different style of room. Don't hesitate to explain clearly and with détails what you are...

I stayed three nights in the Hotel Cerise during my stay in Paris. I was impressed with the room, it had a nice layout, a small fridge, it was clean, the bed was comfortable. My only concern was a leak from the A/C vent. I noticed a musty smell when I entered the room and water damage on the wall and a wet spot in the carpet. When the A/C was on, it consistently dripped which was annoying to hear when sleeping. I used the garbage can to collect the water and one night it filled over half way full of water. I told a staff member, but as far as I know, no one ever came to check on it. As long as you don't get room 314, you should be fine!

The breakfast in the morning was very good and the hotel has a nice coffee machine that prepares several different varieties. The neighborhood around the hotel offers several nice options such as a grocery store and several cafes and restaurants. I would stay there again if I make it back to Paris.

The staff were very friendly; keen to help. There was a problem with the bathroom tap but a workman arrived very swiftly to repair.

My real complaint is that there are only french-language television channels on their tvs. Whilst I did not travel to France to watch tv it would have been great at the end of the day to catch up with the news and/or chill out with english language tv.

The rooms do not have telephones. Having a kitchenette was a real bonus.
