La Grande Quercia Bed & Breakfast

We stayed at La Grande Quercia for four nights in May and cannot put into words the quality, not only of the rooms, but also of the hospitality of both Russell and Sergio. Not only did they make us feel welcome but more importantly they made us feel at home. They helped us discover the region and its cuisine. There is nothing negative to say about this place! If we ever go back to Teramo, we will certainly return there. The rooms are lovely and well decorated. The breakfast was sufficient. But most of all, the owners treat you as friends. The best room is the Bella Vista suite, but again all the rooms in the main house are excellent. Spacious, well decorated and very very clean ( and believe me I am difficult when it comes to cleanliness), The B & B might be a little difficult to find but once you've found it, its a gem. !0 minutes to the centre of Teramo and an ideal place to visit this wonderful region.

Our 6 nights at La Grande Quercia was a wonderful experience. Russ and Sergio were excellent hosts, the building and the grounds were lovely (and clean), and the food was yummy. Homemade pastries and muffins, fresh fruit, yogurt, cereals, juice, and really good coffee was the norm for breakfast. Very comfortable beds...lots of singing birds during the day, and very quiet at night for sleeping. The area offers a lot...days at the beach, hikes in the mountains, visits to Teramo, wine tasting at a vineyard, lunch at an agriturismo farm...or just sit around the pool to recharge your batteries!

I highly recommend La Grande Quercia Bed & Breakfast. It's a gem!

Russell and Sergio are absolutely lovely hosts. They went out of their way to make us feel relaxed and welcome - even to the point of including us in a feast with their friends to celebrate one of our birthday's and sharing with us some of their homemade treats :). We had a great time staying with them and the region is stunning and full of activities. THANK YOU for everything!!!

All the best from Ashley and James x

Room Tip: they have an awesome private cottage in the garde!

Generous and knowledgeable hosts in beautiful and comfortable surroundings. I simply don't know how it could be any better.
Located midway between Gran Sasso National Park and the Adriatic beaches, La Grande Quercia is a perfect base for exploring Abruzzo or just relaxing in the countryside.

From the first till the last second we had an excellent stay at La Grande Quercia. Incredibly nice service, beautifull decoration, always perfectly clean, very quiet and beautifull surroundings; We enjoyed a relaxing countryside holiday during which we hiked in the mountains (Campo Emperatore is a must view), strolled on the beaches and had delicious dinners, all perfectly recommended by our hosts. High quality. Excellent value.

Room Tip: The suite has a great memory foam mattress !

I stayed at La Grande for three days and it was an extremely comfortable bed and breakfast, with beautiful rooms. The hotel sits within an olive grove, in a lovely setting of green rolling hills. My hosts, Russ and Sergio, were gracious and helpful, recommending wonderful places to eat and sites to see in the area. They also assisted me in getting in touch with my family in Canzano. They then went with me to meet the family (I don't speak Italian), for which I am doubly grateful.

Room Tip: It sits off the road. Watch for the sign.

As you might have noticed, most of these reviews are not just about “B&B La Grande Quercia”, but also explicitly about its owners Russ and Sergio. That’s because they are really nice people and fantastic hosts, who truly seem to enjoy having you around. They’re service minded and hospitable, and will do anything they can to help you make your stay in their part of Italy a success; directions, tips on sightseeing, advice on local restaurants, etc. Abruzzo is a surprisingly beautiful region with lots to offer and they gladly show you the way to all of it.
We stayed in the Bella Vista Suite and enjoyed 100% privacy, space, luxury and true comfort. The accommodation is of hotel quality in every way, including a high standard continental/Italian breakfast and perfect espresso. We had a fantastic stay!
