At recommendation from our host we drove the short distance to this OLD pub from Laragh. Solid food that was certainly a few ticks up from basic pub grub. We were still getting the hang of protocol - who takes the food order? Do you go up for your pints? In the end it all worked out. Dinners were tasty and well prepared; chicken, gravy, mashed potatoes was delicious and good value. I ordered a Chinese chicken(?!?!) dish that was very well done. Take the dead end road to see the Glenmalure waterfall and learn a it about the interesting history of this area.

This is a wonderful place to stop along the Wicklow Way. good service, solid food at reasonable prices. With good weather, which we had, outdoor seating is glorious - pint, chips and cards with friends. Made a couple of new friends too.

We had dinner here in August 2013 after a walk in the mountains. 2 Adults, 4 kids. Warm welcome, nice menu, tasty food and good Guinness. The kids had generous half portions.
The location is excellent, in the stunning Wicklow mountains. Lots of outdoor seating if it's a nice day.

The only thing missing was homemade chips and a good vegetarian option.

Friendly folks. Musicians played all night around table. Food was good. Very crowded so go early. Wonderful outdoor tables to start with a pint.
