Such a charming property, full of character with a pretty fully enclosed safe garden & much welcomed off road secure parking. The owner gave us a lovely warm welcome & was very helpful. Located within a few minutes walk of shops, restaurants & close to everything..& yet so peaceful & relaxing. Great place to stay & mingle into the real french life, with some goods walks locally to the park etc. Local people very friendly & helpful. The garden & terrace are very private & perfect to enjoy lunch & glasses of wine !! The garden is safe for young children & dogs. Inside there are a number of steps which would not suit a disabled person. The accommodation was comfortable & far better than most holiday lets. Forgot to take my hairdryer! We will return again next year. Thank you Viviane for making us so welcome>

“Simply Excellent”
Reviewed 7 August 2016 for a stay in July 2016

superb accomodation in le Bouscat near downtown Bordeaux. Only a couple of minutes to get the next bus. Very quiet house away from the main roads but only 3 minutes walk to various shops etc. Large space to park also bigger car safe behind automatic steel ports. No need to run long time around to find a parking place. Extremely nice land - lady good English speaking. The small house has too a wonderful garden to relax after shopping tour or tours to surroundings of Bordeaux. Pretty short drive to sea shore. We spend there a wounderfull week and are considering already to come back soon.

“Quiet gettaway”

Property had plenty of room for our family of five. The location was quiet and a nice retreat from the hustle and bustle of the center of the city. The garden is lovely, quiet and private. One downside was that there was a leak in the sink in the room with the toilet, which left the floor wet. So we only used the sink in the bathroom. In the bathroom there was a bad smell which seemed to come from the drain in the tub. I would guess it needs unclogging a bit and perhaps some chlorine solution poured down it to deodorize it.

located in a quite residential area 20/ 25 mins walk to city centre. Good bus service also. Property is split level with spacious downstairs including bright kitchen area opening to a nice garden. Two double beds in separate bedrooms with an upper bunk bed in one of them. One toilet with seperate bathroom. We enjoyed our stay and the property met expectations.

“A magnificant home from home!”
Reviewed 3 November 2015 for a stay in October 2015

We stayed in Le Bouscat in October whilst visiting my son and his girlfriend. The host was really helpful before we arrived and made us feel so welcome. The house was absolutely perfect with everything you would need for a week or more! The secure parking was brilliant for my son's vintage camper van and the terrace and garden were lovely in the autumn sunshine. The house is just 5 minutes walk from a range of shops and restaurants and 30 minutes stroll to central Bordeaux - and it was only 20 minutes from the airport. If you are looking for a home from home whilst on holiday then I would highly recommend that you stay here - you will not be disappointed.

“Great dog friendly house with private garden and parking near Bordeaux”
Reviewed 30 September 2015 for a stay in September 2015

Great house located in La Bouscat area of Bordeaux which is 20 minutes walk away from the centre of Bordeaux. The house has a great outdoor area with a fully enclosed garden, great for keeping our border terrier safe, BBQ and outdoor seating and dining area.
The house is well equipped with everything we needed for a very comfortable 3 day stay.
The owner was very friendly and helpful and spoke good English.
Fab wine shop called Briau on Rue David Johnston is well worth a visit.
