This place is in a lovely location and within 15 minutes of downtown Aixe by car. Our hosts couldn't have been nicer and though we spoke minimal French and they minimal English, we were able to get by (thank goodness for Google translate).

We rented Pietri, one of the apartments. Be aware that this unit has challenges in terms of privacy. There are two rooms but within each room, the toilet and bath are separated by 7 foot walls. There are no doors separating the bath in the main bedroom and a curtain is all that separates the batch from the main area and kitchen. This may not sit well with some people or larger groups. For us, it was fine.

We would stay there again but look at getting into one of the other units.

Absolutely stunning, location, facilities, views and especially the welcome we received from Anne and Robert. I was racing in the Pays D'Aix Ironman 70.3 and had my bike with me, this was no problem, Robert showed me to a secure shed where I could lock it up and re-assemble it when I needed to. I also needed to be up on race morning at the ungodly hour of 4.30 and have breakfast, this also was no problem, Anne showed me to their private kitchen, explained where all the breakfast things could be found...all of this was done without any issue as if I was a friend who was using their house for the weekend. It was much appreciated.
Only small quibble was the sign out on the road is faded away and we kind of had to guess which house it was on the road..but it was so well worth it. We are already planning our next trip out there.

Room Tip: we stayed in the Picasso room, I have lived in houses that were smaller...stunning

Firstly, this place is impossible to find! Otherwise, everything was perfect. They messed up our reservation and we ended up having to move rooms for the 2 nights we were there. Its a bit annoying to pack and unpack but I guess the plus point was that we would exprience 2 different rooms. We much prefer the picasso room, which is where we stayed for the first night. Both rooms had no air conditioning so it got a bit warm as it was summer. The house is very beautiful and well kept. The estate has lovely grounds so it was nice sitting out there on the terrace. The pool looked a bit sorry, so we never bothered to visit. There's some paintball facility on the estate, I think as I saw some signage for it, which feels a bit random. All in all, a very pretty place to stay in. Stay here only if you're planning on driving.

We spent a lovely evening at this lovely spot. This large estate has lovely grounds and after dark, we sat outside on the dimly lit terrace and enjoyed the sound of the cicadas. There was a private pool where our daughters took a nice swim at dusk. Our room was very spacious and although we were there on a very hot night, there was an air conditioning unit in the room which helped to cool us down. Our huge room had two queen size beds, two couches plus other furniture and a huge bathroom. Our hostess was very friendly and pleasant. In the morning we had coffee and breads before hitting the road. A lovely spot!

This was our first trip to France and we wanted to stay somewhere that would offer us a true French experience. Domaine De Valbrillant exceeded all of our expectations. We stayed in the Forbin room in March 2013 for 5 nights. It was spacious and tastefully decorated, it had a massive bathroom and was really comfortable. The grounds of the estate are magnificent and the location to Aix en Provence was ideal. One day we ate our lunch in the grounds of the estate, whilst looking at Sainte Victoire, spectacular. We hired a car for our stay and it was an easy drive into the centre. Nearby to the property are a couple of nice restaurants so you don't need to venture too far. Anne and Robert were very welcoming, they don't speak strong English, but it didn't matter and we always managed to get by. They were so warm and welcoming, really enhanced our stay. Breakfast was a typical french breakfast with excellent coffee, delicious pastries and croissants. I absolutely loved this place, and would love to return on my next trip to France.
