You get a clean enough basic cottage - front porch with seating for two, a comfortable bed/mattress with mosquito net, a nice fan, and a very basic bathroom with a cool water shower.

Bring your own reading light if you want to read.

Food at the restaurant is OK but a coffee is 50 baht! That's too much.

No wifi but if you are here you probably want to disconnect anyway.

After the first day day at Bangkok we directly went to Koh Yao Noi. At the harbor in Pukhet a guy we met suggest us that nice cottages. When we arrive there we met the owner of this cottages. We learned he is managing this place with his girl and wife. İn a while we realy became as friends with the owner of this cottage. Bungalows were very nice. There were not A/C, or t.v but you really don't need it. There were two places at the front , the first one at the left was working as a lobby :) and a cafe for social activities. There was also a computer wich u can use internet if u need. The wife was cooking every foods at the menu , they were really delicious and she was making good fresh drinks for us. And the other place which is at the right side was both a place for dinner and then after a stage for musical activities. The daugther of the family is a thai dancer also and if u are lucy she is performing sometimes. One night also they arrange a seefood night for us with an fantastic price, and it was the night that i ate the best ocean seefoods :) We understand that the owner of the place likes playing music as a hobby and in the nights he is playing with other local musician friends and also there are some handmaden enstruments by him for u to join them and it s creating a good ambiance. Also the view and the beach were really really fantastic. I was hoping to find a quiet place , and thinking an hommack onto the sea with a nice white sanded beach with cocconut trees laying onto the sea at Thailand. And i found it at the second day at Koh yao. Also the owner is arranging long boats for u to have a trip to other wonderful islands, laguns, and beaches around Koh Yao. And also the our scooters has rented by him and we didn't strive with the little things like this. I stayed for a month at Thailand but the Koh Yao was an unforgettable memory for me with thanks to Pasai Cottage owner Family.

We stayed here for 2 nights with our tour group. The rooms are bungalow style. There is no A/C, hot water, or TV. Amazingly the room stayed cool with the fan provided. There are mosquito nets over the beds. At night you can hear the sounds of night birds and critters lurking in the dark. We were surprised one night by a large gecko (at least 12 inches long) in our room. Across the street is the beach. The island is very underdeveloped so if you're looking for the night scene or bars this isn't the place for you. This is also a muslim area so appropriate dress is required. There are also no ATMS so pull out cash before you leave the mainland. We took an island tour to see the fisherman villages and rubber plantation. There are pay internet sites in the "downtown" area. There is also a restaurant at the hotel. The food is good and there is a big assortment to choose from. Prices are decent and everything was good. The hotel staff were friendly and accommodating.
Just keep an open mind and remember that you're on a small island!
