This is one of the best places to stay.
Be ready for a bumpy ride from the pier to the resort.
Once there, there are smiles galore, beautiful food, endless ocean, a white beach, inviting pool, 2 bars and restaurants.
The massages are excellent
The bus to the village is again a bumpy ride but fun
Kayaking in awesome
The vegan and vegetarian food options are plentiful and the chef is happy to make a vegan breakfast
Yoga is amazing
I could go on....it truly is paradise!!!!!

On the down side, eating at the restaurant for lunch and dinner can be expensive so it would be worth bringing some noodles or snacks with you as there is no shop close by.
Water filling stations are convenient and 4 bottles of complimentary water daily is helpful
The distance and road to the pier is about half hour and bumpy

An option is a boat to the pier taking you to Krabi or Phuket
From Phuket the speed boat and bus to the resort was about 800 Bhat per person

After reading a few negative reviews I must admit to being a little worried about our very affordable holiday. We have had the most relaxing & easy holiday imaginable. Our biggest daily decision was whether to lounge by the beautifully cool swimming pool or under the equally beautiful palm trees on the beach. The activities, especially the Batik painting, are well organised & run. The yoga is also a must, the ocean view, fantastic instructor and all the many sounds (and visits) of nature made it a truly memorable experience.
The only downside is that the massages are a little more expensive than home, but still well worth the indulgence.
The staff are all exceptional, the food fantastic & the 4 happy hours a day mean the cocktails are very affordable.
The rooms give a truly Thai experience with very high thatched ceilings, mosquito nets over the bed but with the comfort of air conditioning if needed. I loved the swing chair on the balcony.
Also loved seeing the local wildlife, not surprising as the resort is on the edge of the stunning rainforest.
I appreciate that the majority of the staff are from the local island community & very professional yet friendly.
We would definitely return.

There is a real art in doing nothing. It doesn’t come easy when life is always so busy. That’s why Paradise Koh Yao is such a great place. It almost forces you to slow down and relax.

It’s not the newest resort - bed certainly needs an upgrade but we enjoyed our stay.

Meals and drinks can be expensive so we decided to have a huge breakfast (plenty of choice) skip lunch and enjoy a shared dinner.

There are 4 happy hours so you shouldn’t have to pay full price for drinks.

Staff are extremely friendly and helpful- nothing was ever a problem.

You can always find faults in any holiday resort but we prefer to look at the positives

While the hotel is pleasant enough you should know it is right at the North Tip of the island with no shops, bars or restaurants anywhere near. You are basically trapped there for the duration of your stay. The onsite catering is mediocre at best and very expensive. You get better, certainly more authentic Thai food at Tesco Lotus food Hall for 1/4 of the price. Drinks are shockingly expensive, even soft drinks are marked up 1000%!
Although there is a longish beach all the sun beds are concentrated in one area making it seem very cramped and not at all private. The swimming pool is small, only a handful of sun beds and the water makes your eyes sting.
Staff aren't up to much. At check in the receptionist ignored me completely and only talked to my Thai wife. Quite rude I thought.
The boat schedule doesn't make much sense. You would think they would synchronise with check in/out times but they don't. This means you arrive at 12 noon and have to wait around 2 hours before you get a room. On check out you can either leave on the 09:30 boat, i.e. 2 1/2 hours early or check out at noon and wait for 3 hours for the ride back to the mainland.

This hide away gem of Paradise Boutique resort is breathtaking. Hidden amongst limestone cliffs and jungle with pristine water and sand. The low key atmosphere setting with hammocks swinging between the shaded trees. The open bars sitting around on bean bags watching the sun go down with a cocktail. If your looking for pure relaxation added with wonderful staff, scrumptious food, good spa, this is the place for you. The jungle so close is a good spot for a walk. The base room was spacious, clean and had a great swing seat to enjoy reading a book.
Highly recommend Paradise and defiantly want to return.
