We stayed at Moon House while walking the Coast to Coast. We found Di very friendly and helpful. Our room was spacious, clean and well equipped as was the bathroom. Breakfast was of a very high standard. Osmotherley is a lovely village and Moon House is very well located.

After a long day walking we arrived at the Moonhouse. The warm welcome perked up our tired legs. Our twin room was spacious, matrasses were good quality but for people above 1.95 cm the beds are a little short.
Bathroom excellent, spacious and a powerfull shower.
Breakfast was good in a cosy room. Cereals with yogurt and well fried ore boiled eggs.

We stayed at this lovely B&B while cycling the Coast to coast last August (sorry for the lateness of this review) and I arrived complete with a broken rib after a small incident on the way. Even if it hadn't have been for that I would have said the accommodation, welcome and hospitality at the Moon House are excellent. As it was I can honestly say I was overwhelmed by Di's kindness - supplying ice for my injury (well frozen peas actually which did NOT go back to the kitchen!!!) offering to take me to Northallerton for an xray (no point!) and doing everything she possibly could to help. Because the B&B was so comfortable, Di so kind and the weather forecast so bad for the next day, we asked to stay for an extra night and were happily accommodated. The rooms are lovely and the breakfast excellent. Thanks so much!

Like a lot of eighteenth century buildings Moon House is actually a series of cottages knocked together. The building still has wood panelling and bannisters from 1740 and original bee hives in the little garden. You stay in a lovely room with a pretty ensuite bath or shower room and eat breakfast in what used to be the shop at the front. The hostess, Di, is very welcoming and cooks a great breakfast. This is the place to stay if you are walking the Cleveland Way or staying in Osmotherley to visit one of its great restaurants.

This family-run B&B was excellent. I don't normally stay in B&Bs but this one would change anyone's mind. My room was very spacious, the bed very comfortable with excellent pillows and bedding and the place was lovely and quiet. The bathroom was also spacious and the only minor negative was that there was a bath but no shower. The towels were large and fluffy unlike the tired pocket handkerchiefs you get in many hotels. Breakfast was great and the owner, Di, could not have been more helpful. I would have no hesitation in staying here if in the area again.

Our first visit to Moon House in the centre of the village of Osmotherley. It was warm and welcoming, just like the host Diane. We stayed in the 'Pluto' room overlooking the heart of the village. The room was decorated to a high standard and it was spacious and well equipped. The bed was very comfortable and extra pillows where available. My husband and I had a peaceful nights sleep and didn't even hear the church bells ringing throughout the night. The english breakfast was excellent and there was also cereals etc available.

We would recommend Moon House as an excellent place to stay, we will certainly be booking again.

Room Tip: Pluto, is at the front of the building overlooking the heart of the village
