Just after we drew up to the cottage, Eileen drove up in the community bus, stopped - leaving her passengers - and came to give us a hug. This is typical of the reception at this beautiful cottage in this lovely area. We keep coming back for more. Wood burner in the lounge lovely for the cool autumn evenings - and a fire in the kitchen/diner if you need it. For cookery buffs the large double oven gas cooker is a real joy, as well as the comprehensive kitchen equipment. A marvellous base for meeting the local community or exploring the beautiful Beara peninsula. And have a biscuit ready for Coco's visit in the morning.

This was a pleasant surprise. The cottage is very nice and cosy and comfortable. The local views are stunning, and we especially recommend a trip over the Healy Pass. Robert and Eileen O'Shea were perfect hosts, and nothing is too much trouble for them. They were kind enough to provide bags of logs for the wood burning stove, which made it a very cosy and romantic break!

Hello Miriam and Marc. Thank you so much for your lovely review on trip advisor. We were delighted to have you stay here with us in the beara peninsula and glad you enjoyed sitting out on the back patio. We loved the way you faced the seat towards the mountains and I have decided to leave it that way now forever. Best wishes always. Eileen and Robert.
