We found the beautiful little church called the Holy Trinity Church while walking around in Caledon. This Anglican Church was designed by Sophy Gray, the wife of Robert Gray, the first Anglican Bishop of the Cape. Building commenced in 1850 and the church was consecrated in 1855. It was declared a heritage site in 1978.
The inside of the church is beautiful and the atmosphere was sacred. We did not even talk loudly because we were afraid it would spoil the feeling. There are lovely original stained glass windows in both of the side walls. The windows are protected by wire on the outside of the church, but some have little damage.
