Owner description: Fratelli VOGADORI is a family winery in Negrar, the heart of the Classico area of the Valpolicella. Fratelli is the italian for brother: Alberto, Gaetano and Emanuele work together their vineyards and produce the great wines of this generous land. Valpolicella, Ripasso, Recioto, Raffaello and Amarone wines are appreciated all around the world. The passion for the land has been handed down from generation to generation: for a good wine you should start from the vineyard. So the decision to avoid chemical treatments on the vineyards, using only natural fertilizers and cutting the extra bunches while they are still green to allow the vine to reach the highest quality. From this year we also decided to use lighter glass bottles and produce photovoltaic panels to ahve all the energy necessary in the company. The respect for the environment is essential to the quality of the wines. The perfect location of our vineyards has also facilitated the achievement of a remarkable quality of Vigolo the hill with southern exposure produces excellent grapes for Amarone. In fact, with the grape of choice, in the basement you can get fine wines and the use of natural yeasts contained in grapes really afford to be typical and traditional wines. We have also avaible some rooms in the side of the winery where our guests can stay and realax: here there is a wonderful view of the valley! The winery is open also the saturday and sunday

We spent a night at the newly built duplex apartment in September 2013....Great people, wine tasting, views, and surrounding town and areas.
Very clean lodging (no TV but does ahve A/C and cooking facilities....small roads lead to the winery, almost like participating in an "old time movie"....
Lots of history, educational and great tasting wines....

Go there, you will not be disappointed...(take your Garmin or device for sure)...the roads are tight and curvy... there are plenty photo opportunities and a couple of great restaurants nearby...

Then head to Garmisch Paatenkirchen.....

“Italian Wine at its Finest”
Reviewed 14 October 2013

If you are a fan of Amarone or other wines from the classic Valpolicella region of Italy, then make it a point to find the winery Fratelli Vogadori. Fratelli - meaning "brothers" - is a family run winery and not one of those huge commercial establishments with no personality. Even during the busy harvest season when representatives from other wineries did not want to take the time to talk to us or give us any attention, Gaetano, one of the three brothers, took time to show us around the winery and gave us a personal tasting of several of their fine wines. They speak English, are prepared to serve large groups if needed, and accept credit cards. Best of all, their wines are among the best we tasted. Be sure to try their capstone achievement - Raffaello - a top end wine named in honor of their father. I guarantee you will want to take home a bottle (or a case)...

“Simply awesome - I highly recommend!”
Reviewed 26 July 2013

This scenic vineyard, great wine tasting and the "Wine & Bed" - accommodation of Fratelli Vogadori was the highlight of my trip to Italy! Their wines are of high quality and the hospitality of the brothers is overwhelming. You should absolutely taste their Amarone Forlago - it´s a dream come true!

I stayed at their "Wine & Bed for 3 days, and I am definitely coming back! It is a great place to relax, enjoy good wines and life. The rooms are brand new, clean and comfortable. From your balcony you have great views over the valley (vine, vine everywhere..) and the lovely village of Negrar (there is a market with all kinds of local products every Monday). You can cook your own meals in your kitchen/kitchenette, or walk to a restaurant - there are at least 2 excellent restaurants nearby - just ask the brothers!

Don´t miss this pearl on your trip to Verona/ Valpolicella/ Lake Garda! Do the wine tasting, and if you have time, stay at the lovely Wine & Bed for some nights!

Perfect view, wish I get to check out the b&b they are opening
This Fratelli is third generation of wine makers. Their wine is very good, and the presentation is excellent. I am going back as soon as possible, perhaps with better weather conditions then the rain that was during my visit
