Hotel Restaurant Le Patio Del Sol
Reviewed 27 August 2013

stayed here for 2 nights but originally booked in for 3. As didnt arrive till late on the saturday so stayed in Vias.
The hotel staff are very friendly and always happy to help.
The room and bathroom we had was spacious if a little dark.
The swimming pool was of a decent size.
Food in the restaurant was excellent. I can certainly reccomend the seafood salad and the Veal.
The tram Victtoire 2 is 2 mins from the hotel and the journy into Montpellier centre is 10-15 mins so very simple to get out and about. Tram ticket to montpellier return was 5 euros.

we arrived late on a Sunday evening in August and were please to find a family room in a hotel unexpectedly full of character! The rooms are basic but very clean and comfortable. We had shuttered windows and our daughter had a mezzanine bedroom made from wood, it was like her own little tree house!
the restaurant was good value and the pool was a real bonus. Very helpful staff and the whole atmosphere was very laid back. We will hopefully be back soon!

Room Tip: The hotel is set back from the main road but even though we were at the back where the tram runs int...

Although we arrived late in the evening on a cold January night without a reservation, the staff were welcoming and helpful. The rooms are basic but lovely and roomy and after suggesting that it was a little on the cold side the patron agreed and told me he had already started the heating for that room. The hotel is split over two main old buildings and although in summer I can see that it may look a little run-down and dilapidated to us it looked like the old France that has all but disappeared when you are on the road to be replaced by Formula 1 Motels. The food was also unexpectedly tasty.
