“Ideal self contained cottage.”
Reviewed 4 weeks ago for a stay in June 2018

We booked this cottage for a 11 day stay and found it full filled our needs perfectly. Amanda was a terrific host and nothing was to m m8uch trouble. Having just finished a bus tour of Scotland and Ireland it wad great to find a washing machine and dryer. The lovely conservatory was ideal for relaxing in as well as drying the washing !. As a 6'2" bloke i quickly learnt to avoid the timber beams in the bedroom. Would thoroughly recommend this property. Close to Shalford train station and only a short drive to Guildford. Would recommend the Snooty Fox for breakfast or lunch and is only a 10 min walk away, close to railway station and small supermarket.

“Perfect cottage in a lovely setting.”
Reviewed 21 October 2017 for a stay in October 2017

Visited Winkworth Arboretum on the way there, and Wisley on the way back.During our stay we found plenty of nice walks directly from the front door, so didn't need to drive anywhere. Cottage was lovely, especially the conservatory which has a lovely view. Hope to return.

“So perfect I chose it to propose in!”
Reviewed 8 May 2017 for a stay in May 2017

I scoped out this cottage with the express intention of finding somewhere unique enough that it would be remembered.

The cottage itself is a lovely, cosy building that fits two people perfectly. The modern living room was lovely to relax in. The gardens are gorgeous, and are perfect for a picnic should you be lucky enough for sun. The spacious conservatory is perfect to eat in, even late at night with its under-floor heating.

I really felt it was the small details that made this stay special, such as being left a small jug of milk in the fridge, along with a pack of chocolate cookies on the counter!
As I was using this weekend to propose, I had some additional requests that I asked of Amanda, the owner, and she was fantastically supportive, communicative and helpful in allowing me to have some things ordered to the main house, and her husband was especially kind towards us. My fiancee particularly enjoyed their friendly old dogs!
This will always be a place with real significance to me and my now fiancee, and we hope to return in the future when we are married :)

“Very Cofortable Cottage”
Reviewed 9 February 2017 for a stay in January 2017

Well kept and comfortable cottage. Hosts very friendly. Good location for visiting Guildford and surrounding area. Good local dog walking. Stayed just a few nights but would definitely recommend for a short break or in the summer would be plenty locally for a longer stay.

“Great little cottage with easy access to London and Guildford via train.”
Reviewed 3 April 2016 for a stay in March 2016

Stayed at the cottage for 2 nights, 5 minute walk to the train station and short drive to lots of lovely villages in the local area. Lovely wood burner in cottage for lighting fires on cold nights, and nice conservatory when its a bit warmer. Amanda left us some milk and chocolate cookies which was a lovely surprise! Perfect for a short stay in the Surrey hills.
