Description: Casa Cabana offers a varied menu with plenty of choice of good freshly prepared food to satisfy our broad customer base. Fresh ingredients and home-made desserts, a good vegetarian selection, fresh vegetables and daily specials have made our restaurant one of the most popular in the Old Town of Puerto del Carmen, Lanzarote.

Whilst looking for somewhere to accommodate a large party (17) of us who would be in PDC just after Christmas, I came across the Casa Cabana. I emailed them and unlike so many other establishments I received a swift response from Kim. She was extremely helpful & eager to help. They offered to decorate the table for the birthday girl and asked if we'd like a birthday cake which they would provide for a very reasonable €25.

They were brilliant at emailing confirmations and replying to any queries we had especially with directions to the restaurant. On arrival we were so pleased with the decorations they'd provided, the table looked fabulous and they'd even gone to the effort of printing "Happy 30th Birthday" signs off for the walls around our table....a really nice touch. The restauarant was beautiful and bright and well decorated, the kitchen is predominantly open plan so you can actually see the food being cooked. The toilets were immaculate and by far the best I've come across in PDC over the years. There are dining tables outside along with a nice relaxing area with sofas and cushions.

The waiting staff were very attentive and we didn't wait at all for drinks being replensihed. We all ordered starters and mains, the food was beautifully presented and potions quite large.....so much so that several of us struggled to eat the main as the starters were so filling ! Lots & lots of fresh veg, baby new potatoes and fries were supplied in bowls to share. All those that had steak agreed they were lovely and perfectly cooked. Even our lone vegetarian was happy with the choice on the menu.

They brought the birthday cake out at the end and it was one of the best cakes I've ever had, fresh strawberries amongst soft, moist sponge cake and cream layers. Coated in a very light sugar coated chocolate icing......Fantastic and large enough for all to have a good sized slice.

I have to make a point about the fact that the Casa is usually closed on a Sunday & whilst we were looking at the menu we noticed the opening times and were ever so slightly confused as we were there on a Sunday evening !...........It transpires when I asked Kim & Jeremy that they decided that for 17 people they would happily open the restaurant as Sunday was the only day we could come. I know it's a win, win for them & us but let's be fair, there aren't many places that would make the effort or be so accommodating. For all they knew we could have all ordered just starters or salads, as it was we did spend a fair amount with drinks, but on average it was still only €25 pp for everything bar the cake.

As people have commented before Casa Cabana isn't the cheapest place to eat but you do get the quality and service and I for one will be recommending the restaurant to one and all and will definitly visit when I go on my annual PDC holiday.

We have visited Lanazarote on a regular basis over the last few years and our holiday would not be complete if we did not dine at Casa Cabana. We have found the food at this restaurant to be excellent and there is always a warm welcome from both Kim and Jeremey to all diners.
The restaurant is very tastefully decorated and spotlessly clean, and over the years we have built up a good rapport with the owners.
During our last visit in December 2010/January 2011, we dined there three times and each visit was as good as the first. We think the restaturant offers `value for money`, is comfortable and the food is fantastic.

Went here after reading the reviews & found this place to be a pricey compared to many other place in the Old Town of Puerto Del Camen. Food was average but found the owner to be a bit false and we felt abit out of place. Wont be returning in a hurry.

We vsited Casa Cabana based on the excellent reviews and the delicious menu.
We were warmly welcomed and allowed to choose our table and presented with a basket of delicious bread. The owners were very friendly and took the time to chat to us despite being busy and we found them charming.
We ordered the fillet steak with pepper sauce and the fillet steak stroganoff which were accompanied by separate dishes of potatoes and vegetables. The steak and vegatables were cooked to perfection. We shared a sticky toffee pudding for dessert which was delicious. We also had a lovely bottle of wine which the owner helped us to choose.
The restaurant is immaculate and the toilets were the cleanest I had seen in the whole week I spent in Puerto Del Carmen.
We had chosen to visit most of the top rated restaurants on trip advisor during our week long stay and I have to say based on the whole experience this was the best one of the week. We were desperate to return but unfortunately the next day they were fully booked and closed on the Sunday and we had to leave Monday.
This wasn't the cheapest meal we had during our stay but it was certainly superior to all the others at a fraction of the price we pay at home in Aberdeen.
If we return to Puerto Del Carmen again this will be our first stop.

After reading reviews thought we would try this restuarant on our next visit to p.d.c., thought it was over rated, steak not very good, too much fat and over cooked, service was ok and deserts fine but will not return
