I have put a link to a video so you can have a live look around the apartments and the area.http://youtu.be/gQrBLo6qVbE.
We stayed here for a week over Christmas and new years eve the rooms are very basic but very clean and tidy there is a supermarket on site with a good stock and not bad prices also the small restaurant on site has a wide choice of food and again excellent value for money. There is a gate on the site that leads you down to the beach which is only a short walk away, when you get to the beach there is a triangle of shops restuarants and bars but don't get me wrong of a night time it is not a rowdy place just a nice place to sit and enjoy yourself. There are some lovely beaches which we found right by the airport and if you like watching airplanes come and go there is a beach at the end of the runway. We hired a car to get around and the roads are very good and easy to get around on.For more watch the video but remember it is homemade.

Room Tip: We asked for a sea view room and got no 140 and in that block you get the sun morning to late afternoon.

Had a great break here in October and November . Although these Apartments are a little tired they were perfectly suited for an extended stay in Lanzarote. There were some issues over cleaning and clean towels but these were sorted out eventually. Sometimes there were problems with sun-beds people would place towels and then not appear until early afternoon!! One downside while we were there was a large Wedding party who seemed to think they owned the complex ,very noisy into the early hours and inconsiderate to other residents ! Special mention must be made for the people who manned Reception especially Sandra who was great!! Will be going back again in 2014.

Stayed here for just one night as had early flight home, ideal for the airpport which is only 10 mins away, The apartments are spacious and the complex is nicely laid out our only complaint was that the bedroom had no blackout curtains although I think this may have been because we were only staying the one nights as all the other apartments seemed to have them. Lady on reception (Patricia?) was very friendly and helpful. The commercial centre is a 5 min walk away with plenty of bars and resturants.

Yes own first time at San Marcial. the rooms looked lovely and big, until we looked at the pillows they were very DIRTY, The floors had not been clean, the towels need to be up date. The food was great in the bar, and we had Breakfast a few times and it is good for the money. We had a large balcony and it was sunny. Sin Nombre they look after you very well. best Bar in Matagorda.
But it was a let down when the cleaner only cleaned our room 1 time in two weeks. It was a same but we did not stay in the rooms that much as we were out a lot. We stayed in room 130 and we could smell the Cleaners smoking under the stairs. so when we sat on our lovely big balcony all we could smell was smoke. And we got all the nose from people how came in late, as it is on top off were you came to book in.

Room Tip: do not have room 130 it is not a quiet room

These apartments have lovely grounds, nice pool, all clean. The rooms are basic but tidy, a little worn and the towels could do with renewing. But overall a great place to put your head down whilst enjoying the island. The cleaners came in about three times a week and did an avergae job, not awful buit not wondeful. We were lucky and had a lovely sunny balcony, worth contacting the hotel before leaving as they were happy to accomadate us and give us theses rooms for my In-laws 40th Annivesary. The rooms were 130 and 131, and i would recommend requesting for them is possible as we had the sun all day. The food and the onsight restaurant was very good, their breakfast, however we were unhappy as the super breakfast for 5 euros came with a freetea, coffee or juice. We asked for juice and the waitress the asked us if we would like freshly squeezed so we said yes and were then charged an extra 3 euros each for this juice and not given a free drink. So make sure you are getting what you should with the deal. This is only a minor point and would not put me off returning to the San Marcial for a holiday. Also visit Sin Nombre bar in Matagorda, lovely friendly bar, where you are really looked after and drinks are at a reasonable price!!

Room Tip: Choose rooms 130 or 132 for sunny balconies.
