This is my second review on Los Pueblos as I didnt enjoy it as much this time as I had before.

It is in a good location and has everything you need. It is very clean and the staff are friendly.

The beds were the most uncomfortable things ever.

The people above us were so so noisy - all day and night. They sounded like they just stayed in and walked around in high heels and moved their furniture about constantly.

After 2 days and nights of this we asked to be moved and the receptionist allocated us another room which was very pleasing and quiet for two nights :)

However there were party animals above us - shouting, screaming, singing, playing music and we could even hear them pee every 5 minutes.

I would recommend these apartments as they are clean, in a good location and good value. I would request an apartment with no one above if you like to sleep at night.

We went in feb and havent got one bad work to say about it is was cheap clean and exactly what we wanted .the maid came round every day not only with toilet roll and clean towels but cleaned our entire apartment ever day . The staff are really friendly and helpfull I requested a cot for our baby which there was no extra charge for which makes a change in my opinion.
I have read through alot of the reviews and find alot to be unfair saying that its too far from the strip and up a hill well!!! It is lanzarote built on volcanic island what do people expect also the hotel does state where it is I loved the location away from the hustle and bustle but close to everything you need

Its not brand new and its not a 5 Star it is what it is. accommodation is basic but clean and comfortable, the views from the apartments are a massive plus point as is the location when you get your bearings, you are a short walk from a taxi rank and bus stops which will take you all over the island, a 10-15 minute walk will take you to the harbour and a 30 minute walk to the main drag in Puerto Del Carmen, from there we tended to get a taxi back most of the time as it is up hill and my wife suffers with her feet on saying that its not an arduous walk back with plenty of watering holes to stop in if you fancy a rest. The other massive plus point is the Pool and Pool Bar which is run Monday-Saturday 8-6pm by a girl called Mylene, she cooks and serves drinks there and is a gem, always happy and the place would not be the same without her. The Receptionist are also very helpful. I've rated as Excellent simply because of what you get and for what it costs to stay there, which we will be doing again 3 times this year!

Room Tip: Rooms 300 plus for the best views.

Los Pueblos Apartments

It's not an easy task to grade Los Pueblos. On one side: it is perfectly situated on the hills of the old part of Puerto del Carmen, just close enough for easy access to the harbour and there are several nice bars and restaurants in the neighbourhood. The hills are rather steep, but not worse than manageble – in fact, it is nice with the outstanding view that the hills result in!

The apartments are cleverly placed in a way that keeps the noise levels down – unless you happen to have partying neighbours, that is. The hotel offers free wi-fi by the pool. All apartments have their own balcony or terrasse facing towards the Atlantic. The furniture and textiles are pretty old, but that would not necessarily be a problem if only well kept and clean.

...and this is where the problems start accumulating. The apartments do not only appear worn, they feel shabby. Every piece of furniture makes squeaking sounds when used, the fridge was broken and downright filthy, the floors appeared not to have gotten cleaned for quite some time and the promised sea view wasn't all that impressive. When we told the personnel at front desk about the fridge we were met by a rather rude lady who sent some sort of janitor to our room – only to gesticulate widely and do a very uncharming ”mañana mañana” thing.
In the end we did get a properly working (and considerably cleaner) fridge delivered, heaven knows who lost theirs and got ours instead – we actually did see the janitors carrying a fridge out from a nearby apartment the next day.

Apart from one brilliant exception the staff were extremely uninterested in any kind of socializing with us – the exception was a lady working evenings in the reception. She was wonderful, a perfect example of excellent service-mindedness!

All in all: this apartment hotel isn't expensive – but it is somewhat sad that it felt so cheap. The potential is there and with a loving management and the right employees it could be a very good alternative to a reasonable price. Unfortunately you get the feeling to be some kind of cash cow and that the all around attitude is ”as long as the guests are coming, don't try too hard” Yes, the guests keeps checking in – but I seriously doubt they will be returning!

Room Tip: The rooms numbered 300 and up has a good or even excellent view, but keep in mind that the lower num...

It's hard to review Los Pueblos,
It's cheap. You get what you pay for.
Yes, that much is true. If you want five stars you kind of have to pay for five stars, but this place is not just cheap and so-so, it's got some serious dirt and filth-problems. The so called cleaning is very badly done (if at all. Usually just emptying the trash, and straightening out towels, from what we could tell) and it's got its fair share of very rude and unhelpful staff.
BUT... it's also ideally located, close to the old town and with a few shops and several restaurants just around the corner, free wifi by the pool and one amazingly sweet and helpful lady in the reception (the lady who speaks Swedish and who's always in a good mood. You rock!).

When we arrived, our fridge/freezer was broken and we complained, only to be sent a maintenance guy who basically told us that he'd have to wait for someone else to move - but when we weren't happy with that, we DID get a new one VERY quickly. Just wondering who they switched it with, because after that we actually saw them going into another apartment and taking that fridge out. Very strange.

Not to mention that the so called "sea view" consisted of staring into a wall and a bunch of sun catchers...

There was also the incidents of the window not being closed when we came back to the room and the one where someone (we have our ideas who - a cleaning lady) had been in our room and smoked... Not nice.

...and again: then there's the affordable, convenient bit.

So - you'll have to weigh the good against the bad and decide how much you're willing to pay and what you want for your money.
Los Pueblos is very basic, but it's not awful. It's cheap and it's very damp and cold at night, but you have tons of great restaurants close. You'll hear your neighbours easily, but the surrounding area is relatively quiet...

All things considered, I would probably go back - because I know what to expect. And there are no roaches, or at least were none during our stay.
It's pretty much all gonna boil down to your personal preferences.

Room Tip: Ask for rooms higher up for a better view! Rooms starting with 3 and lower isn't as good. (But...

3 of us stayed at the los pueblos arriveing on boxing day 2013,after reading recent reviews on here,i was gobsmacked at what my 2bedroom apartment was like,it was 2 floors and had 2 bathrooms and toilets.and 2 balconys ( sun traps at that ) i was more than pleased with the apartment, not a single cochroach to be seen.the plumbing systems do need upgradeing fast as i had to fill the bath useing the shower head as taps did not work, but was not a problem.apartments were fairly clean, and towels were changed every other day.i found the staff to be very polite and helpful, and would do anything for you.the young lady who runs the bar,is a lovely girl who has a million and one jobs to do,and is very friendly indeed.the pool area is kept clean and is a sun trap, even with cloud around the sun found its way through,it was roasting for december/january,i have been to all the canary islands and i will deffo be visiting the los pueblos again.my only moan is that there was no microwave in the apartment and you had to rent a t.v.

Room Tip: be clear what you are after when booking
