Very nice, pleasant and quiet hotel. Close to everything, about 5 minutes walk to the beach and city centre. Apartments are a bit worn, but spacious, comfortable and clean. Kitchen well equipped. Great value for money!
In fact nothing to complain about, but air conditioning would be very appreciated (mosquitos have bitten us while sleeping with windows open).

have been home for 2 weeks and we want to go back already.reception staff are very helpful and friendly, the cleaners are there nearly everyday and do a really good job,and the snackbar staff work tirelessly serving drinks and food whilst playing some great music.the rooms have everything that you need, yes some things look basic, but everything was immaculately clean, kitchen had everything you needed ,fridge ,kettle microwave etc etc.the pool and surrounding areas were kept very clean.we did save sun loungers in front of our room at about 8:30,but we needn't have,as there were plenty left unused all day.good sized clean pool, but cold :) .the apartments are at the top of a slight hill, but are only 5 minutes walk to the lovely beach and hundreds of bars cafes restaurants and shops, the walk back up the hill was ok but for the less mobile there are lots of taxis, although we walked every night.the transfers are only 10 minutes to and from the airport, which along with everything else makes these apartments just perfect.cant wait to go back.

Room Tip: we had room 20A,we got the sun on the balcony midday ,we preferred 1st floor as we thought we might...

We have just returned from Plaza Azual and was very pleased for what we paid! Any one that grumbles clearly needs to up their budget or realise they are going to get a more basic and dated place!
We had our rooms cleaned very regularly they did come late in the day but that wasn't a problem.
The pool area was very clean and swimming pool itself was delightful! Not deep like a lot of other pools in Lanzarote!
Ricardo at the pool bar was great he's a credit to the place he came round with sample cocktails at happy hour and played nice music, he was polite and fun. He cooked the snacks and his breakfasts were lovely!!
At night the reception door is locked so no one can just sneak in, which is another key point this just makes it a safer place to stop! If the receptionist doesn't recognise you then he asks for your room key.
If the old town is were you prefer on a night then it cost around €4 in a taxi! the receptionist will phone one for you!
The hill you have to walk down to the strip some people call cardiac hill isn't as big as imagined. The beach takes maybe 5 minutes to walk down to.
Overall I'd give this place a high rating as long as you don't expect more then what you pay for!
I would recommend and will return just as so as possible!
No one when we were there seemed to have any issues with the place!

I am just back from a week in Puerto Del Carmen Lanzarote and stayed in the Plaza Azul. I have been to Lanzarote a good few times and this is my first time to stay at these apartments but I have to say they are the best so far. They are in excellent location just 10 mins from the Airport and about 5 mins down the hill to the main strip. The apartment that we stayed in was 8B on the ground level and it was just lovely the front patio door opened up onto the pool area and it was nice to just sit outside the door in the sun in the mornings. It had a lovely pool area and pool bar that served lovely food all day and the guy that works there was very nice and friendly. The apartment had a lovely spiral staircase which lead up to the roof terrace with excellent views of the ocean and of Puerto Del Carmen it self. I would definetly recommend these apartments to anyone that is going on hols to puerto del carmen as they are just perfect.

Fantastic apartments 5 minutes walk from everything you need. over the road is a supermarket where you can get drinks, food, all essentials, and its very reasonably priced. Further doen the road under spinnakers bar (recommended - every night have entertainment, tv screens and show football) is the Hyperdino supermarket.

Right back to the apartments, on arrival we were greeted by a friendly guy, who gave us our keys and showed us the way to our room. We were on the top floor, which we preffered as you can get some noise being on the ground floor. Apartment was a lovely size, open plan kitchen living area, flat screen tv's showing english channels, big balcony (we had a sea and mountain view slightly off the pool, which was nice and out of view).

The pool is great, you do have to get your towels down early to get a spot, which i suppose can be annoying for some, however we just went with the flow and the "cant beat em, join em" attitude, just went down and popped our towels down as soon as we woke up. - is a bit annoying when you see towles down and no ones been on them all day, think that's a bit rude.

Pool has a great snack bar which plays music all day ( i thought it was brilliant) black guy that works on the bar is funny and cant do enough for you (i cant remember his name) they have all the usual snacks and cold drinks, and they have a seating area in the shade with a flat screen tv, which shows the football if you request it.

At happy hour the barman makes cocktails and brings them round to all sunbather to try and taste, they are very good and gets everyone going (from 18 - 80 - all were enjoying).

The apartments have a big bar, restaurant and games room for the kids. They have themed nights, pealla and a BBQ every thursday.

For the price we paid for a week (£160 between us) i really wouldnt grumble and would definately go back for the same price.

Maids cleaned 5 times out of 7, changed the towels twice and bedding once. They were really friendly and had a laugh with everyone, saw them huggin loads of guests that were leaving, obviously repeat visitors and also after making new friends.

Great apartments, great atmosphere throughout the day and good facilities (you wouldnt have to leave the apartments if you didnt want to)

Clean and quiet at night, beds not so comfy, but i have never found any bed to be comfy after all the years of visiting lanza, you just get on with it.
Hope this review help, pls feel free to ask any questions.

oh and you get a microwave, hob, kettle, toaster, fridgefreezer, pots and pans all FREE of charge!!!

Quality!!

Room Tip: A-11 is facing a wall but off from the pool A12 is furthest from the pool but amazing sea and mounta...

We stayed at the Plaza Azul for 2 weeks in the 2nd half of September this year and we absolutely loved it. Contrary to one review, the music level round the pool was fine, as we were there the same time the other reviewer was there. The time was 6pm when he complained and as we were at this time on our balcony enjoying the music (not loud at all) it was lovely.

When we first got there, we had a problem with the balcony doors as wouldn't lock, so i went to the reception to tell them and as soon as i got back to my apartment, there was a knock on the door and someone came and mended it, which was the fastest we have ever had anyone respond to a complaint in any country ever, so thanks Plaza Azul for that. The apartment itself was very clean and tidy and the kitchen had everything you could need in it, even tea towels were provided. there's lots of space for clothes too, but make sure you take some hangers as not many of those. The balconies are VERY spacious and relaxing and all overlook the pool. We found the 1st floor apartments were better for privacy as the lower rooms where right next to where everyone lays round the pool.

The staff are very helpful and some are lots of fun like the guy on the pool bar ( he was barking mad and lots of fun) and also one of the maids as she interacted with the guests which was nice, but one of the reception guys weren't as nice as the other as he seemed to not be too helpful when it came to us leaving our room on our final day. The pool toilets and showers were out of action, so we were unable to go to the toilet or take a shower as we left the room at 11am and weren't getting picked up until 4.45pm, I asked the receptionist if there was anything else we could do and he said no, even though it was the maids day off and we could have gone back into our apartment to freshen up if he had let us. Thankfully one of our neighbors let us use their toilet. Having said that, this is our only gripe with the hotel in 2 weeks so everything was good really.

Good place to eat is the American Indian, also the New World Chinese restaurant at the bottom of the hill. great place for a drink and live music is Africa bar where the suspects and aftershock play (very good music).

Over all, we would definitely come back to Lanzarote and definitely come back to the Plaza Azul.

Thanks for a great stay.

Room Tip: go for a 1st floor apartment for privacy and a great room is A23 as this overlooks the pool and also...

Just back from two weeks having stayed here many times before always loved it , but sadly not as good by far this time , the place has changed towels put out on beds last thing at night no hope for anyone getting a decent sun lounger if left until morning then you are so close together not pleasant , we had lads playing football across the pool first week kicking across the pool area no one seems to bother what goes on , the pool bar music is so loud some days it gets unbearable , the second week we had a party of young ones drinking outside their apartment playing music loud until way past two thirty am, plaza azul are just packing too many big groups of people in there now not the pleasant relaxing holiday place it used to be , such a shame as the staff are all lovely especially pedro a real gem, sorry plaza we not be staying again ,
