i stayed in this hotel and i thought it was clean you got what you paid for. not suitable for disabled or people with heart problems. our room was clean and cleaned every day. the pool and gardens very well kept, reception was a bit lapsed when we arrived there nobody was around. there was entertainment on, it was okay but i thought there was not much entertainment on in lanzarote. very expensive place and very hilly. but i would recommend this complex to anyone who likes a quiet holiday

Me and my partner stayed there in August. I,ll try keep this short cause I could go on forever. Shower broken. Curtain hanging down. Door bolt broken so could not open both doors. In the heat it was hell. Rented a fan that wouldn't stand. That cost 20 euro a week which is robbery as they are for sale just down street from hotel for between 10 to 20 euro. Washing machine cost four euro for a token and it ran for 30 minutes. It actually stopped half way cause it malfunctioned so I had to reset and wait there for it to finish which is unacceptable watching a machine for a half hour. The toilet was filthy, long black hairs everywhere and we had to sweep the ants into the sink every morning. The toilet was yellow all down outside with staining. the tv channels were non existant. there was no brush to sweep the floor and no supplies whatsoever not even soap. I had to buy everything and then start cleaning myself (some holiday). The fridge was ancient and small and pieces of rust were falling off it onto the floor. The horrible metal so called table was rusting and all bent down as if someone sat on it so you could not put a glass or cup on it as it would fall off. The list goes on and on.... To dated and it needs a serious upgrade. It said wi fi on brochure but the signal was so low it would not open internet and the hotel internet was 1 euro for ten minutes which is robbery as it spends ages loading a page so your money is wasted. The hotel staff were not really helpful and spent their time ignoring people. When we checked out i had to ask him for our passports back. He said nothing and we didn,t even sign anything. So much for security. The noise from road unbearable and rooms like saunas especially at night. Location meant you had to hike up a hill that would leave linford christie breathless so find another hotel. Our stay was appalling to put it mildly and I took photos and made a formal complaint to budget travel who I booked it with. Take my advice look elsewhere for a hotel.

Very nice layout, just a shame apartments are a bit dated. Lovely pool, nice poolside bar. Entertainment at night was not worth stopping in for so its a good job that there are plenty of bars not to far away.Plenty of places to eat nearby especially SPINIKERS for breakfast.

Me and my fiance have just returned from a week at the Plaza Azul Apartments and had no problems!

The apartments were nicer than expected for 2 star accomodation where the apartments were clean and just right for the 2 of us! They were equipped with 2 cooking hobbs, microwave, fridge, toaster and kettle. Apartment could have done with redocrating but when what do you expect for a 2 star? We had a nice balony overlooking the pool and rest of the appartments.

The apartments were well situated being a 3 minute walk from the main strip where loads of bars and restaurants are, which was good being close enough to the nightlife but just a short walk up the hill we could sit on the balcony at night and hear nothing.

The bar in the hotel was very quiet and although entertainment was advertised, it never seemed very lively when passing through reception. There was no daytime entertainment.

The pool was lovely and quiet with plenty of sunbeds most of the time, although this area is a bit of a suntrap and has no umbellas to get some shade under. Pool bar was open during the day but usually had to wait around to be served, barman was very friendly and helpful!

The main strip was brilliant, although were slightly put off by the people out on the street offering you buy 1 get 1 free offers etc to get you into their bar. Some of them are very pushy and some will still approach you even if your being bothered by another one of them! This was the only downside to our holiday, that we had to go out of our way ( walk on the beach side of the road, you still get approached but not as much!) to find something to eat for dinner without being harrassed by the touters! We also found that turning left rather than right at the bottom of the hill avoided most of the touters.

All in all we had a fabulous time! We'd recommend Mulligans Irish Bar for a good cheap meal but we also had lovely meals at lots of other quieter restaurants in the town.

very basic apartments.when we arrived the apartment was dirty, including dishes and cutlery that were not washed. You have 2 pay 4 the tv like a slot machine, and ours was broken when we arrived and took 2 days to be replaced. We are not a picky couple but it wasnt what we expected for the money we payed.Very small apartments, dark and dull and the glass is very thin and you can here a pin drop.Good location, appartment near pool which was good. The fact that Plaza Azul is a perfect location makes up for the bad points....
