We arrived at the Bitacora & was not expecting much as it's only a 2/3 star.
We were aware there was an additional price for air con & Wifi, which he had previously contacted the hotel to arrange, as we understood the A/C rooms are in demand.
The rooms are large enough with my daughter on the sofa in the living room.
Kitchen fully equipped with Microwave, fridge, double hob, toaster, kettle and all the usual crockery & cutlery.
Marco on reception was helpful when we advised the AC was not working & when an engineer said it was broke we moved to room 206 the next day, no problem.
This has a balcony overlooking the pool & was the same as previous room. Very clean with fresh towels every few days.
Sunbeds are available from 9am but need to be used or some had towels removed if not occupied for over 30 mins. More sunbeds would be nice!
We went to the drag show on the first night at the hotel bar, which was cheap at 10 euros each for. 3 course meal & show, it was Great fun & you get to know some other guests & the bar owners.
Dave, Jen, Sara, Daisy, Jack & nan run the bar/restaurant and are always so helpful & Jack makes a great fry up to help cure any hangover!!
I saw a couple of ants in the original room we were in but none in 206 and no other bugs during our 11 nights stay, also no mossies :))

Yes the hill is pretty bad outside but we would generally walk down & pay no more than 3 Euros to get a lift back up in a taxi.
Supermarket on site and stocks pretty much all as needed.
Tabero Di Niño is just the most amazing restaurant in PDC is a must....for Spanish tapas....also Dicey Reillys is the best craic....
Just note they do have some large Irish party's staying (30+50 when we were there) at once so it may feel a little like Dublin at times but we had no problem with this.
I would definately recommend and would stay again if in PDC,,,

We stayed at these apartments for 2 weeks and were very happy with them the apartment was cleaned 3 times a week and towels and sheets changed once a week, we found the staff all very pleasant and helpful the bar was not open late but that was not a issue as most people went down the strip in the evenings however the bar was open late on 2 nights a week as on a Friday they have a BBQ with fun and games and Monday's a drag night with 3 course meal we found both these evenings great value at on 10 Euro adult and 5 for kids. The pool was a good size and the area cleaned and checked every morning only issue with pool is very deep not ideal for non swimmers so make sure kids have there armbands on. The one big issue was the availability of sunbeds as people are waiting from 8.45 to put towels out as soon as the guy finishes cleaning the area the issue with this was the most of the towels out were there all day with no one using them so beds were sitting empty while people were looking for somewhere to put there stuff when they wanted to use the pool staff did remove towels and leave notes but people were not listening but this is a issue in all hotels No they are not 5 star apartments but your not paying for 5 star they are a great value apartment for what you pay and we could not complain

Room tip: I would definitely recommend a upper floor apartment with balcony facing the pool we stayed in Apartment 223 facing the bar/pool

We stayed at the bitacora for a week. We arrived quite late at night and were shattered after a day of travelling. We were given a ground floor apartment which was right next to the night time security gate which is the only point of entry after 9pm. We weren't happy with this and asked if we could be moved. Rodrey on reception was lovely and did his best to help us even though the apartments were more or less full. On the Monday we moved to an upstairs apartment with a balcony which was great. The apartments are basic but really clean. The pool area is brilliant, and because its not a massive complex, we could give our children a bit of a free reign. They made lots of friends around the pool table and in the swimming pool. We didn't spend much time in the bar or cafe but we never intended to, which is why we went self catering. As for the steep hill........yes it is huge, but we found it good exercise after stuffing our faces and drinking Guinness in the Irish bar down the road!! If you are after a posh 5 star hotel then this is not the place for you, but if you want somewhere clean, friendly and affordable, then I would definitely recommend this accommodation.

Just returned from a weeks holiday with my two girls 14 and 17. We had a great time the hotel was spotless and the rooms a good size. I knew it was a one bed apartment so sleeping on the settee was no surpise and was fairly comfortable. The pool area is clean but please get more sunbeds the cleaner guy was falling out with people in the morning before he got the place cleaned if you dont want people to enter the pool area until 9am then put gates up round about and provide enough beds for the number of people staying so they are not all taken in the first 2 seconds of him letting people into the pool area. I had to lie on the hot slabs on two occassions whilst one family took themselves off to the beach for the day and didnt return until 4pm. I thought the shop and stocked well and good price and the snack bar was also very good and reasonable and the staff were friendly too. Cardiac hill isnt all that bad but for older people it could be. A great selection of shops/bars down the front and very reasonabile. Will definatley return to Lanzarote.

My wife and I visited the Bitacora Club Apartments and were extremely pleasantly surprised. The facilities were clean and we'll run, with our room being cleaned 4 times during the course of a week. The staff were really helpful - nothing was too much trouble. Our first evening's entertainment was a drag-act which was hilarious. The bar was very well with very friendly staff. The location of the hotel was just a short walk to the main strip, down quite a steep hill, necessitating a taxi for the return! However with the cost of the taxi at €3 was a bargain. Thoroughly recommend and hope to return. A must for food is the Sunshine Asian restaurant on the main strip. The best Chinese I have ever eaten!
