Me and my partner have just returned from a 2 week all inclusive holiday. Excellent hotel , extremely clean and the food was good. What made the holiday was the staff , Luis the entertainer was excellent and Sergio the bar man was fantastic.
The only thing stopped me giving it 5 star's was having to pay for wifi and the TV, I think they should at least provide 1 of them for free.

Excellent hotel, food good. Room lovely and clean. Didn't use pool or watch any of the entertainment. Only downside was it was up a hill but close to bus stops. Close to town and downhill walk going into town.

just returned from a week away at the flora, with the family of 4 adults 5 children aged 12,11,10,8 and 8 months ,this was our first time in lanzarote. We are the kind of people who enjoy a holiday just relaxing round the pool all day soaking up the sun then enjoying a walk in the evening for something to eat and drink and a bit of shopping. The flora is not a five star hotel but when are they it is dived in 2 halfs we stayed in rooms 384 and 381 so we was at the nice quite pool that was right out side your door, the pool was very deep for the children but our kids didn't seem to mind they was in there all day everyday without getting board so we could not complain, the bar is across the road but we was not all inclusive so this did not bother us as we had been to the supermarket on site and filled the fridge,so never had to go across the road .The wifi is a problem we paid 24 euros for the week but only one person could go on the internet at once, meaning that you were paying for wifi for one person to go on there at once and when you got 4 children with tablets its a pain taking it in turns, also you have to pay 24 euro for the tv fore the week and at the end of the week you get 10 euros back, we was not bothered about this really though because you don't really go on holiday to watch tv .there was 4 cats in the quite side pool and I was expecting to see more but they don't bother you they just have a stroll about .The location is perfect but it is plenty of shops and bars resturants but it is a killer walking back my calfs have never been in so much pain lol but the taxi are cheap enough to get you back to the flora at the end of the nite.We would return to lanzarote and the flora without a doubt, Apart from the walking up and down cardiac arrest hill we never had a problem at all with lanzarote and the flora at all

Dear Guest:
thank you for the kind comments. Sometimes, it´s really hard to know beforehand what likes and dislikes our customers have , so in your case, we did it right to send you to the quiet part of the complex. I´m glad that your kids enjoyed the pool and everything. So hopefully, we will see you back around in the near future.
If so, please let us know via email, and we will ry to provide the same or similar location for your family.

regards

We stayed in 2013 and it was great. We decided to rebook.
These are my opinions based on the comparisons:
Pro's:
Really friendly reception staff. we emailed ahead asking for better and quieter rooms. we got 117 and 115 overlooking the pool which were PERFECT as we sat on the balcony each night and played cards. still close enough to do the bar run.
they have Spent some money expanding the restaurant and refurbishing the bar (Still in progress when we went) so makes it less chaotic getting a table.
And really, after that I'm struggling to have anything positive to say!
Con's
Last year they kept the place PRISTINE, they were always cleaning, sweeping, mopping. The standards have dropped somewhat and it wasnt as well kept.
The beds are beyond rubbish. the towels are like concrete and the sheets are really old.
The sun beds are also old, sagged and not fit for purpose. they really need to replace them.
The breakfast! we started eating in The Purple Turtle because the breakfasts were guff. we would go for coffee and pastry and to steal the bread to feed the fish in the harbour. after that, breakfast was useless.
The animation team, although the lad worked his rear off, the events were rubbish. Last year they played games together, and listed them on the board. this year it was either splash park or FILMS in the club! Disappointed child with nothing to do!
The evening entertainment. The Spanish flamenco act was the one exception as this was stunning. But don't hang around for it as it's 20 minutes of scabby birds or depressed looking lizards.
CATS. Scabby, scruffy lanky CATS were everywhere. oh, and JOY, there were kittens too! so the kids wanted to run after the flea ridden things. Other countries feed the cats to stop them begging and sneaking food, this would work well in this hotel. There were no cats last year, no idea why they've suddenly appeared but they are not a welcome addition.

We had an okay holiday, but i think, despite the cheap price, it is no longer value for money. it has sadly become a budget hotel and not a particularly good one at that.
It is at the top of a hill. but if you are not disabled or pushing a heavy pram it's not Everest. and there's an ice cream bar and a few bars along the way.

Room Tip: Email them in advance directly. it worked for us!

Dear Guest:
sorry to hear that you found the hotel downgraded from your last stay. I few improvements being carried out while you were here so didn´t have the choice to enjoy them.
I´m concern about the cats in the Hotel, we never had that many, and they come from the Hotel next door that has been demolished down (you probably realised). I´m working on it to get them sent to a proper place where they will be taken care of
If you ever decide to come back again, please contact me on flora@thbhotels.com, as I would like to keep you informed of the improvements made and take care of you by myself to gain your confidence and loyalty again.
kind regards.

My husband and I stayed at the Flora for 12 days from 8th June. The complex was better than we expected. The staff are so helpful and polite. The food was lovely, good choice and something for everyone. Apartments were spotlessly clean and around the pool was cleaned morning and evenings. It's in a quiet area of the resort so peaceful at night. Taxi rank outside if you didn't fancy the steep walk down to the harbour or main strip which only cost 3 euros. The complex itself was suitable for people with walking difficulties but not an ideal position to get about on foot. You would need to rely on taxis. We are planning to go back to the Flora in September we liked it that much.

Room Tip: If you are on all inclusive then ask for the flora 1 so you are close to the facilities. The flora 2...

Me and my best friend have just returned from a 10 night stay here and it was amazing!!

Firstly, don't listen to the reviews or let them put you off.. People are far too picky and point out minor things.

HOTEL ROOM;
Basic but has everything you need, was always kept perfectly clean except two days of the week.
The only thing that bothered me was that we was over the other side which is fine but room 101 doesn't have a separate bedroom and everyone else's on our row did.. So I was getting funny looks by people when I was trying to get ready lol..

FOOD:
The food is so so lovely, themed nights every night.. And there's always choice for everyone wether you don't like the theme, fresh salad, chips etc..

LOCATION:
When u read the reviews and a lot of people was moaning about the hill I was like oh stop being so silly.. But if I'm honest when your drunk walking home or it's in the midday heat it is an effort it's not steep it's just about 15 minutes worth of a hill, not suitable for mobilise people or the elderly not in good health.

WEATHER:
I putting the weather in because I was so eager to know if it would of been nice considering we went at the beginning of the season and it was beautiful hottest temperate was 32 degrees and the rest of the time was averagely 25/27 which trust me when your sunbathing all day is very hot, few days were cloudy at the about 9am but cleared about 11 but still warm when it is.

NIGHTLIFE:
As two young people we excepted this lively resort and lively hotel but if I'm honest was disappointed at the strip.. There was a selection of bars and clubs but not like back at home.. And the hotel was more family based so obviously they couldn't be blaring music until the bar closes which is understandable.
If you are young and out to have fun I would possibly pick somewhere else to go out.. THIS IS NOT ME MOANING I HAD THE BEST HOLIDAY! as I don't like drinking every night :)

I would definitely recommend the Atlantic adventure tour that's on Thursdays and one other day but can remember.. It's 44 euros for 5 hour day out on a boat with lunch all inclusive drinks and sporting activities like banana boat, snorkelling and kayaking.

If you decide to go to to the market on a Sunday beware it's all the same stuff and with the organised trip you end up staying there 3 hours and it's the longest 3 hours so we got a bus home.

Special mentions to Sergio the waiter he was AMAZING! And also the animations team for trying their hardest to get people involved.

Overall, AMAZING TIME, it's what you make it that counts! xxx

Visited Flora in June 2014 and loved every minute of it. Stayed in a one bedroom apartment in the main site. As soon as you walk in you can smell the cleanliness. Everything worked within the apartment too. The staff are friendly and most of them can speak good English as well as French and other languages. The pool is cold at first but brilliant when you need cooling down.
The location is very good as you have a bus stop a few meters down the road which allows you to go on day trips without going too far for the bus. Only downside is that it is located at the top of many hills which are difficult to walk up in the midday sun. We got a taxi back a few days as it was too warm and only cost around €4 from the main strip on the sea front.
It was a perfect holiday for what we paid and have already booked for the same time next year.
