“Relaxing as always”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 17 July 2014

I returned here in june with a few family members and we were all delighted with the reception we go on our return, even a bottle of cava in the apt to start us off. Rooms were great and there was a lovely breeze on our balcony and the view was just heart lifting. pool side bar did great snacks for the children and all reasonably priced. I would have given a 5/5 if it hadn't been for an incident with the very rude life guard at the pool who though not his own fault got pushed in to the pool on top of 2 children and he never even apologized to either child or checked to see if they were ok. I was very disappointed by this. Manners would have been nice. This will not stop me returning but i hope never to see him by the pool again.

Room Tip: anywhere is good in this complex

I have recently returned from a seven day stay at Relaxia Lanzaplaya Apartments in Puerto Del Carmen. I thoroughly enjoyed every second of my stay here as everything was just brilliant!! When we arrived one of the reception staff was very friendly and let us go straight to our apartment which was spotlessly clean (and was all week) and a lot bigger than I had expected it to be. The apartment had a beautiful view of the sea with a spacious balcony which wasn't overlooked. The bedroom was also very spacious with plenty of storage space and a safe which you could use at a very small charge every day.
Relaxia Lanzaplaya is perfectly located as it has plenty of bars, restaurants and shops near by as well as the beautiful beaches all along the strip so no transport is needed at all unless you wanted to explore out of Puerto Del Carmen.
My board basis for the week was all inclusive so I was expecting quite standard food as most places I have stayed at before being all inclusive has been a little shabby, however I couldn't of been more wrong as the food here was LOVELY!!!! The food is always fresh with plenty of variety and changed every day to all sorts of different things.
The staff are also very friendly and quick with their service especially at the poolside bar.
ignore any of the bad reviews as this place is beautiful for the money you pay!!! I would 100% return as it really was an excellent week away:-)

Just returned from a 9 day holiday in Puerto Del Carmen staying at Relaxia Lanzaplaya. Having paid under £250pp including flights it was very good value for money. The apartment we were given, in block seven, overlooked the pool with a slightly distorted sea and mountains views. We were very lucky as block four looked out onto another row of apartments.

Service:
The apartment was clean, purpose built with no frills or luxurious. It was a bit rough around the edges but ignoring these minor issues it is an excellent apartment for the price that we paid. On the whole it was very clean, but we had to wear flip flops the whole time as the floor was a bit dusty. It was 'cleaned' around six of the nine days we were there where our beds were made and fresh towels etc were given. The kitchen facilities were great but we ate out the majority of the time. The bathroom was again clean - a bit rusty in places - but modern looking with a nice shower.
The beds were two single beds pushed together and were slightly hard but again not anything major. On the whole we had good nights sleep but on occasion the noise from outside did disturb our sleep. Apart from that the rooms were great and clean. We found the staff fairly helpful but there was one who seemed a bit 'off' every time that we dealt with him. Also, there are no irons/ironing boards in the rooms; you can only receive one on request from reception and have to place a five euro deposit. However, there are only two irons for the whole hotel and upon request we couldn't get one.

Location:
The hotel is very centrally located in what we regarded as the busy end of Puerto Del Carmen; you're fairly central to everything - beaches, shops, bars, restaurants, excursion booking centres etc. We walked everywhere apart from taking a taxi to Rancho Texas and on any of our excursion days. There is also a Spar on the corner at the bottom of the road the hotel is located on with reasonable prices.

Facilities:
There are two pools joined together. Both are lovely and clean. It got a bit busy at peak times of the day so we often went to the beach instead and came back when it had quietened down. However, the majority of the beds get 'reserved' by towels very early in the morning; sometimes we couldn't find a bed despite the pool practically being empty. The bar at the pool serves good food and drinks at reasonable prices. There are only two English channels on the TV - BBC News and beinSPORT which was fine for us but would have been nice if there was another channel. Another slight issue is that free wifi is advertised on the website that we booked on. In actual fact, the wifi isn't free and is very expensive.

Overall we had an great stay at Lanzaplaya despite the minor issues. For what we paid it was excellent value for money when put in comparison to other budget chain hotels and would definitely recommend it.

Room Tip: Request sea view, pool view or room in block 7.

Just home from a week long stay in Relaxia Lanzaplaya Apartments in Puerto del Carmen. Very happy that we chose to stay here and will definitely stay here again if returning to Lanzarote.
The apartments are very well situated just behind the main strip in Puerto del Carmen, but far away enough that you don't hear the music all night at all. It's also just across the road from the main beach which us lovely and has plenty loungers. There is a small supermarket within the complex containing most things you might need such as bread and milk, as well as a spar a few hundred meters down the road.
The pool area is lovely and clean with plenty sun loungers and a separate children's pool. There's also a small bar at the pool.
We stayed in apartment 5103. The apartment was up steps so would be unsuitable for people unable to manage stairs. It was clean and had plenty if room. The kitchen had fridge/freezer, plenty cutlery etc. and the bedroom had 2 single beds pushed together (as you usually get in these places) and a large wardrobe. A safe was available up hire for €2.50/day. The room was a little stuffy as there is no air conditioning in the apartments. Apparently you can hire a fan from reception for €15 but there was screens on the window so we just left that open and we were fine. There's no wifi available in the rooms. You can pay for wifi (€25 for the week I think) but it's only available by the pool or in reception. All of the bars, clubs and restaraunts have free wifi available so that suited us fine.
We heard there was 2 waterparks in the area and the apartments had signs up for aqualava. We asked about this and the other one and the receptionist told us there was only aqualava, she didn't know about any other. We booked it and later discovered that it was very child orientated. We went to get a refund as reviews of the park were poor, and the receptionist was a bit rude about it. We did get the refund eventually but her attitude wasn't great.
Other than that everything was perfect. Cleaners called every day to clean, dress and beds and provide clean towels. I would definitely recommend these apartments for self catering. We didn't go all inclusive so I can't comment on food or drink. The cafés and restaraunts on the strip are great and very reasonable though.

Just returned from a week at the Lomo Blanco apartments and was really impressed. Well stocked apartment ideal for self catering - even a kettle which is usually a luxury in sc apartments! Beds very comfortable and extra pillows supplied quickly when requested. Fabulous shower! No aircon or fan in room but we did not find this a problem as plenty of breeze through windows. We did hire a fan from Reception but only used it a couple of times. We were lucky to be given an apartment on the top floor of block B with an incredible view having emailed the Reception in advance. The girls on reception were very helpful and always welcomed us with a smile. All in all a great place for a reasonably priced stay in Puerto del Carmen. Only moan would be that we travelled with Cosmos Holidays and never saw a Rep nor was there a Cosmos information file in the hotel.

Went all inclusive 15/06/2014 for 12 days ,Beautiful place well positioned clean ,restuarant food very good, pool loungers comfortable but no pool snacks available or cocktails. The pool bar offers both to paying customers but nothing available on all inclusive .We were a party of 8 aged from 27 to 55 and sometimes did not feel like getting up to go to breakfast .The restuarant only opened at 11 so we were forced to pay for food.If a cheese and ham toastie was available by the pool it would have been great .Also at breakfast no beans or tomatoes.
Although a lovely place would not go again all staff were lovely but totally overworked.Quite often the pool bar was un manned as the staff would be helping in the restuarant.Beds were very hard

Room Tip: We were in rooms 4020 which were up 3 flight of stairs but views fantASTIC

Lanzaplaya is in a perfect location if you want to be close to the shops, bars and beach. Beautiful large pool with endless amounts of sun loungers available. It is a short walk away from the old town or 3 euro in a taxi. Clean rooms with regular towel changes. Reception staff are always willing to help with any enquirers we had. Definitely recommend a stay at Lanzaplaya.

Room Tip: Request pool view room on booking.
