i have stayed in many hotels in lanzarote and this is by far the most friendly and spotlessly clean hotel i have stayed in,,the food is brilliant and well presented in all restaurants we had no problems with our stay ,,,the entertainment team work very hard to make your stay enjoyable, the bar staff are efficient and happy at ther work,, the little added extras make a difference ie; FREE safe.air con.mini fridge, pool towels,,bottled water,,not to mention the self service bar with tea/coffee local beer and wine on tap,,
they also offer free courtesy room on departure i rate this hotel first class !!!!!!!

The service and cleanliness of this hotel were first class. The food was very good in the main restaurant but involved a lot of walking. The Yaiza restaurant did Canarian and Mexican menues. The latter was so good that we ate there 3 nights running. The chicken Mole still makes me drool to think of it, and I have sought out recipes for this since retuning. We were lucky to be given a room with a sea view at no extra cost. My only bad point is the amount of walking involved at the hotel. It has been created from 2 hotels and the distances can be considerable to get from your room to the dining room or reception. The air conditioning was much more efficient than many we have experienced.

Lovely holiday, all inclusive but not the usual all inclusive with lots of rubbish lying around as one usually finds with all inclusive. This complex was beautifully maintained at all times. Entertainment good but don't expect too much. The staff were very friendly and nothing was too much trouble. I would definitely recommend this holiday. I will certainly return. The resort was quiet and the beach breezey, which was just great.

We stayed at the RIU the 3rd week of Septmber. Overall, it was a great holiday .
CHECK IN
When we arrived at 7pm, we handed in our passports and were told to go and have a drink and come back in 20 minutes as there were quite a few people checking. After 20 minutes, we were told to come back again in 10 minutes. This was a pain after a day of travelling when you just want to get in your room. Eventually we did get checked in ok.
You can get free bottles of water from reception each day which is a nice touch.
ROOMS
We were in the palace side of the hotel round the far side of this hotel. The walk was ok and we got used to it but it could be a pain when you just wanted to pop back to your room for something. I had e-mailed the hotel and asked to be in the main side but they were unable to meet this request.
Our room was brilliant. We had paid extra for a pool view and had a really nice view from the balcony. It had close and easy access to the pool. The room was big and very clean. The floors were carpetted and we had a good sized balcony. The maid did a brilliant job and the room was spotless every day.
FOOD
The food in the main restaurant was just ok in our view and some days it was very busy and you had to wander around to find a spare table to sit at. The Mexican and Asian restaurants were excellent. We went to the Asian twice as it was so good. We also ate out in Puerto Del Carmen one night at the harbour and that was lovely.
HOTEL
The is one of the cleanest hotels we have ever stayed in. They are constantly cleaning and working on the gardens. It was all very clean. The pool area was also spotless and we never had problems getting a sunbed in a decent spot. The palace side was nice and quiet round the pool in the daytime. There is also a bar and area to get snacks in the day but this closed down at night and you had to walk across to the main side. This was the main downside to the hotel as it got very busy over there and it was hard to find seating outside the bar area sometimes. A couple of nights, we had to sit in the sunbeds with our drinks.
We didnt watch the entertainment, so cannot comment on this but it sounded like there was plenty going on.
LOCATION
The hotel is across the road from the beach which we used a few days. The sunbeds and parosoll are 9 euros to hire. The beach was windy but on the really hot days, this was quite nice. We liked the beach and the sea.
It was a 10-15 minute walk to Puerto Del Camen and this was a nice walk that we did a few times in the evening. We found a couple of nice bars that did great cocktails.
The taxis are also very easy to find and cheap.

On arrival we were greeted by Jose in reception with a smile, and this continued right throughout our 2 weeks. I have never met friendlier staff in any hotel! Nothing was an issue for them. From pool attendants, gardeners, maintenance staff, reception, restaurant staff, bar staff, entertainment staff, room service.......they were all outstanding.
Room was superb (No. 70) and was cleaned everyday to an exceptionally high standard. It really felt like personal service from ALL of the staff, not as though you were just a number.
Food variety and quality were excellent, and you can eat all day long, if you wish!
Bar staff were outstanding, and obviously very, very understanding, as they were able to accommodate the English, German, Spanish and French languages (you can also drink all day long if you wish)!
Make sure you book the Asian restaurant at reception (no extra charge) as this was outstanding!
Sun loungers by the pool..........be up early in the morning to get one (08:00). If you search hard enough you will probably find some free! Entertainment throughout the day is good, but at night time....average!
We had to go into Puerto del Carmen everynight for entertainment!
Would we go back....? For service, food and cleanliness.....yes we would. This is classed as a 4* hotel, and we have stayed in 5* hotels before now. This hotel would certainly give a lot of 5* hotels in Ireland and the UK a run for their money!
It is only a 10 minute walk into the 'Strip', approximately 200 metres from the beach and no more than 10 minutes to the airport.
Love it, Love it, Love it !!!!!!

Just stayed at this hotel for last week in September and we loved it. Food was lovely, pool was great and rooms were really nice. Entertainment was fab, plenty of variety for all ages. All spirits on all inclusive were branded, no cheap brands and massive measures!!! Went to night club on first night as all inclusive ends at midnight and we didn't arrive to late and all I can say was it was an experience! Just small room with bar and disco which was fine if you just wanted a late drink as we did. We would definately return to this hotel and are already looking to book for next year. All the staff are great and the chinese restaurant was fabulous. We also went to the mexican which was nice but not as nice as the chinese. Only bad thing I could possibly say is the cleaners start at 8!!!!!

We stayed for one week mid-September 2010 and could not fault this hotel. From the moment we arrived we felt welcome - the staff were all approachable and did their best to make our stay special.

We got the feeling that the management of this hotel is very good because the staff all seem happy, all the public areas are spotlessly clean, the meals are very good and nothing is too much trouble for the reception staff.

There was always somewhere to sit when we needed a meal or snack, there are plenty of sunbeds, mattresses etc. and it is nice to have a free beach towel which can be changed whenever you want.

We tried both the Canarian and Mexican dinners - both superb, as was the food in the main restaurant. We simply cannot believe some of the adverse comments about the food. There is plenty of choice, it is all fresh and different dishes every day. We complimented the head waiter on the extremely efficient service in the main restaurant. We never felt 'watched' but our plates were cleared as soon as we finished.

Our room was in the quiet area with a full sea view. It was larger than average, spotlessly clean, the air conditioning worked very well and there was no noise at night. When we arrived we were a little apprehensive about the length of the walk across the wooden walkway to the dining room area but we soon found short cuts through the immaculate hotel gardens, which are a pleasure to walk through.

The only improvements we can suggest is that it would be nice if the bar in the quiet area was open in the evenings and we would have welcomed a map showing short cuts through the grounds.

Well done Riu Paraiso - we will defintitely be back!
