Just returned from a week here, great place to stay, apartments spacious,although looking a bit tired in places. Equipped for making basic meals, although we stayed all inclusive which I can thoroughly recommend. While we were there the rooms were being fitted with hair dryers, which was much better than the standard hotel hair dryer you usually get. Food was great, especially breakfast, although they could maybe get another couple of toasters! Bread and rolls looked homemade and was amazing.loads of variety, salads were really fresh. All inclusive guests can buy from the wine list at a 50 per cent discount.
All the staff were really friendly, Alessandro in the restaurant especially, and always cheerful despite working really hard and long hours.
Would thoroughly recommend this hotel, well worth paying the small amount extra for all inclusive.

Came back last week, started off as self catering, but after using the resturant on the first night, we decided to up grade to all inclusive, and did not regret it. Plenty of variety, hot food was hot, was very impressed that they had a table at breakfast of cereal and preserves specialy for people with dietry needs.
The morromar is set out like a small villiage, with two swimming pools. The grounds are very well kept, and cleaned regularly. All the staff were very friendly, even cleaners said ola as you passed them.
Would recommend this to all types of holiday makers, and would go back again

just returned home from a week staying at morromar apartments with myself, my husband, our two children and also another couple and their daughter. Loved every minute of our stay here, couldn't find any faults, arrived to a warm welcome lovely clean room and the necessary information to aid with food times etc. The rooms were kept spotless and cleaned daily. All inclusive certainly rings true in this accommodation, myself and my partner went away earlier this year to an all inclusive which turned out to be basic, this is definitely not the case here, plenty of choice with both food and drinks. My partner is a very fussy eater yet didn't struggle at any point of the holiday to find something he liked. The staff are all friendly and helpful especially the animacion team who are fantastic with kids. Its a five minute walk to the beach and a five minute taxi ride into the center of playa del Carmen (taxi rank outside hotel and costs 5-6 euros one way). 2 great pools to choose from, I understand people complaining they are cold but that was a relief in the hot weather and after a few minutes you cant feel the cold anymore so for us this was not an issue. Rancho texas is a must and can be booked easily from reception with a free bus running daily from the hotel. Overall a f fantastic holiday and would definitely return and recommend!

We travelled from Scotland with Thomson holidays (Skytours) and stayed at the apartments in Lanzarote for 2 weeks and loved every moment from start to end.
Would say, yes the apartments are looking a little bit tired and would definitely be improved with a paint as they are not what we would expect, but this was explained to us during a weekly group meeting that the general manager has with Thomson guests, It was mentioned there that the décor is an on going project, but as they have had high occupancy levels they are struggling to accomplish this, which we consider is a good thing in current climates, full at this time of year and have been all through the summer
We cannot thank the staff enough as they are very helpful in making our stay so relaxing, nothing is too much trouble for them.
Food hmm, breakfast, lunch and dinner, all fantastic the choices second to none and a very good range throughout, only comment would be, would have liked mashed potatoes more than once throughout our stay, but thankfully I got this on my last night, so yass I'm happy.
We will definitely return hopefully next year

Having read all the previous reviews we expected to arrive to a warm welcome and friendly staff - found them to be surly at best, occurred that the complex deal with an older clientele and find them easier to deal with. We weren't approached once about how our stay was, no nice comments upon leaving and again a general air of nothing from the staff. We were approached once during seven days to ask if our good was ok, but nothing since. Family resort but found there to be a few younger groups of mixed gender who were generally uncouth and drunk around the main pool, felt staff should have asked them to be more mindful with their language but nobody intervened, and we felt the same two groups were responsible for early morning shouting and bawdiness as they returned from yet more drinking. Nice apartments, but feel some people have very low standards if they rate this place as a four or five star on here...
