“Winter break”
Reviewed 25 January 2013

We have again soaked up plenty of winter sun in this excellent 4* all inclusive hotel.
Public facilities and rooms are spotlessly clean.
The food is extremly good and there is always a wide selection to choice from, the highlight is the oriental restaurant which is a must to visit. They also have and Italian and Burger bar as an alternative to the main buffet restaurant.
I cannot speak to highly of the staff at this hotel, each and every one go out to make your stay the best ever.
Great hotel and look forward to our next holiday there.

Room Tip: Ask for pool view rooms, try and avoid those over looking the airport.

Where to start i went on holiday with my mother i was not happy when i arrived . The bedroom we were given had a view of the airport and i paid for a sea view so i complained to the reception.
The food selection was poor and very average all the vegetables were cold . The staff were cold and not friendly and looked like they did not want to be there!! there were only two waiters that were friendly to me and my mother. The evening entertainment was terrible we could not bare it and went off to our room . My mother asked two times for a kettle in our bedroom the reception team said yes and it never arrived !! they wanted the euros for the kettle . we could not use the mini bar to place our milk in they wanted 20 euros to open the mini bar!! every thing was around paying euros for , and it was supposed to be an all inclusive ! i explained this to the reception staff and her reply was you get all your food and drink what else do you need!!
I booked this hotel mainly for the gym and spa little did i no was the gym had no equipment in Example no running machine , bike, or rowing machine and the spa you had to pay for daily which should be included in the price !! i was outraged by this. People placed towels over the sun loungers daily. I would not ever go back to this hotel or recommend to any body. This hotel is only a 3 star .

Room Tip: You need to ask for a sea south facing room and if not happy with a room ask to see another room a...

Went to Lanzarote to get some winter sunshine. Chose this hotel at the last minute. It is a very big complex, basically in two halves. We were given a room in the side a fair walk from the reception, which we weren't sure about at first. Discovered that it was the quiet side away from all the hustle and bustle, which was fine. It has its own pool and snack area and peace and quiet while we were there! Big room, lovely and clean, in good repair.
Food was good, if a bit samey as with most all inclusives I think. Catered mainly for Europeans in the menu choices. Always had the insipid looking sausages for breakfast, but the food was good quality and there was always something we could eat. The two themed restaurants (Mexican and Asian) aren't amazing, but ok. Went for an Indian in the town which was a welcome change. The resort is immaculately clean and nobody bothers you as in many other places. Would go back to the place, but would probably do B&B next time and eat out at the many places there are to eat.

Room Tip: From our experience I would have one over in the other half, for the quiet. We had 3329.

Rooms are very tired and need some TLC, beds are very uncomfortable.
You have to pay to have a fridge in your room and tea & coffee . This proved to be very expensive for what you actually received, have never had to pay for this on an all inclusive basis. In the piano bar you were charged for drinks ...... again we thought this unfair as the entertainment in the main room was repetitive although some was good.
The food was very good.
We were quite frightened by the behaviour of some of the guests Never stayed in a hotel where the police have taken people away in handcuffs
I felt very sorry by some of the guests who were more affected by this than us but nevertheless we were very wary when we went to eat and in the evenings because of this outrageous behaviour. This actually spoilt our entire holiday.Unfortunately the management said they couldn't do anything about it.....no reassurance for us and other guests who had paid to enjoy our holiday. We feel we should have been compensated for . The one person who stands out as trying to be helpful is the nice young man on reception although we thought he was quite new to the post....he should do well in his career.
This hotel should have had security guards every night. We only noticed them on one occasion.
All in all not the Christmas and new year we were expecting.
We might have returned if this hotel was not so greedy with it's "extras" and had better security.
I will finish on a positive note and repeat that the food was good.

Living 20km east of Malaga I expected a flight from Malaga, but had to travel 200 km to Sevilla for an evening direct flight.Checked in at 11.15 pm and the male receptionist at first refused to give me a receipt for cash paid €574, saying in a strong Berlin accent that I had the room why did I want a receipt? He eventually obliged with the receipt filled in in the space for the room number and the amount paid in the room number space. Not a good start after a long day's travel from 20 km east of Malaga. This altercation was reported to the manager next day, whom , I hope, put the man right. The hotel has over 400 rooms ,and there were often queues for the evening meals, two sittings. I ate out in the local Matagorda restaurants or in Puerto del Carmen. Breakfast was an excellent buffet so it would always be a room and breakfast for me at this out of town centre hotel. Not easy to find at night if driving, except for its blue neon sign being visible for some kilometres. The pool area, its bar and restaurant, and Spa were excellent, with the usual early towels on the poolside beds being removed by the poolside staff...Hooray....No children allowed in the 2 adult pools and vice verca ...Great....The signing of the different parts of this very large complex left a lot to be desired.Out of date entertainment flamenco show notice was at the main entrance to the restaurant for three days after it finished. Rooms very clean and well serviced each morning. If you want sun in the afternoon, ask for a room with pool view. I asked for a high floor (there were three), and a double bed. Received neither.Would look elsewhere if I ever again made the effort to get to Lanzarote from Málaga.Saw the entire Island, many very interesting attractions to visit.

Room Tip: If you want sun on your balcony mid/late afternoon ask for a room with pool views.

We just came back from this hotel. We stayed a week (Jan 12th-19th).
we were on the all-inclusive. The all-inclusive is well worth it as dinner costs 21euro and lunch 16 euro. The hotel itself its just okay, the rooms are like from the 18th century, but we didn't really care as we were not in the room much, the room is quite spacious though and was always super clean when we came back, so that's what really matters to us.. the cleanliness. The staff is super friendly, Rolando in the bar is such a nice guy! The oriental restaurant was really good its open monday and tuesday only and we tried it both days, we loved it! The italian restaurant is only opened fri, sat and sunday, it is really worth to try it if you like italian (homemade fresh pizza's right from the oven to your plate). The dinner buffet its just okay, I would eat everything but most things weren't that good its just all right to be honest. We always thought lunch was great, we only tried it twice though as we wanted to try restaurants recommended by the locals in puerto del carmen. The all inclusive cocktails always tasted so cheap in here, you can really taste the cheap alcohol in it. I highly recommend the "Mahou beer" its a spanish beer and its great, and its the only one they have for all inclusive guests, thank god it was nice! The sangria is quite nice though! In general the hotel its okay and I would rate the staff 5 star service in all departments! The promenade its just outside the hotel, if you enjoy walking you will love it! Not sure if we'll be back though, we always like to try new hotels, we had a great holiday so that's what really matters! No bad experiences, no dissapointments! Oh and there is a rent a car desk inside the hotel IGNORE it please, they charge you 53 euro a day (cheapest rate they have) and they make you think they're gona rip you off if you go somewhere else.. and just a few meters away from the hotel there is an office called "Cabrera Medina" (Rent car company) which had really nice cars for 20 euro a day and they always have a deal (3 days for 70 euro) so in 3 days we saw literally the whole island in a nice car! it was so much fun!!

Room Tip: Ask for an oceanfront or sea view when you arrive.. the higher you are the better. If they tell you...
