“An enjoyable experience”
Reviewed 7 October 2013

Having read a few reviews of these villas after I booked there was some concern. The concerns were unfounded, along with our son and his wife plus the 2 grandchildren aged 7 and 9 we had a thoroughly enjoyable holiday. The villa was clean and spacious, it had everything we needed, the maid changed the towels as promised and cleaned up. It was about 8 minutes walk to the beach and there were plenty of supermarkets on the way. The best and cheapest being HiperDino, although they did seem to like check out queues as much as our local Tesco. There is always a chance to nitpick and there were recycling bins in the area where locals seemed to be looking for items which tourists discard (we left lilos and buckets and spades). All in all I would recommend this to families. We stayed at number 4

From start to finish our stay was perfect. 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms modern living room/dining room, leading out to the pool, bbq and outside dining area.
A perfect home from home.
Ricardo from Sun Villas was available for any questions.
Would highly recommend and will be back.

Easy access to villa as we were given code to.obtain keys from.box.outside. Villa was big and fine for us. Lady came a few times to change our towels and ask if we needed anything. Pool got dirty very quickly due to winds but we couldnt bare to go in it due to the freezing temperature. Condestino - what great people you are - lovely service from you guys. We wantes.to stay longer in the villa due to.late flight so they rearranged the.people who.were.due.to.come.in to our villa and put them in another one and didnt charge us the extra 50 euros.
On a few occasions we saw people rummaging through bins that were over the road. Area was not safe at all. its very residential. All in all I probably wouldnt return here as i never like to visit places twice, but if you want basic living then this is for you.

Back a couple of days now from our holiday in puerto del carmen and feel obliged to leave a review about the area we stayed in to warn others.
We stayed at no:7 Villa Geno. On arrival (Wed) we got the impression that the area looked a little rough/run down but we put it out of our heads as we where here for a good time and a well earned rest. The villa itself was not bad at all, roomy, bright and spacious.
The pool was not clean when we arrived and was not cleaned for 2 days after we arrived.
Anyway, to confirm our initial gut feeling on arrival, we came home from a great night out in O'Reillys bar on the friday night to find the door kicked in and the place had been turned upside down, some clothes, a camera & a small suitcase where nicked but we thankfully had passports & money on us. After calling the guardia civil & contacting Con Destina (owners) we where moved overnight to a one bed apartment for the night then offered a Lovely bungalow a little further away at Bandama bungalows which turned out to be the saving of our holiday. The staff of Con Destina dealing with us where lovely and couldn't have done anymore for us, including sending one of their staff with us to the police station on the following monday to give statements, they where great and I almost feel bad writing this review because of that fact but the truth of the matter is that as good as the company is, the area where these villas are located is run down with people looking in dumpsters in the evenings for food/clothing.
Could not recommend this area, stay away but company itself where great.

Stayed here for one week over new year 2012/13. Easy access with no messing about meeting people for keys. Great private villa with lots of space. Rooms were good sized and the outdoor areas were great. Barbecue area and lounger area around pool, back patio for washing etc and upstairs open balcony for private sunbathing. Villas set at back of Puerto del Carmen but even then only a 5 min walk to seafront. Supermarket just around the corner. Idea for a family break and good price. Only down point was that the pool wasnt heated and it was so cold that my children were daring each other to go in...which even they only did once!

These villas are not at all what they look like in the pictures advertised on the various websites. When we arrived our villa was facing the road onto a rusty satellite dish the pool was filthy the white walls are all cracked down the sides with plaster falling off! Pool chairs were filthy dirty everywhere we were not happy! Inside the villa is smaller, kitchen tiny what finished me off was the glass bricks going up the stairs had been boarded up with wood! Next door overlook your pool. Dogs barking I think maybe people are living in or near these villas! Dirty bins outside and as far as I could make out its a rough enough neighbourhood! Let's just say we ran an booked somewhere else these villas are not what they advertise if you don't mind slumming it stay here!!

We have holiday'd in Lanzarote for the last 9-10years,staying mainly at hotels but for the last few years we have used villa's as named above with James Villas and have found the service excellent the villas were very central & clean and tidy with lovely pools. We could never go back to staying at hotels, it's so nice not having Reps around and having your own pool and sun lounger no getting up at 6am to get one. you are contacted on your arrival day by an english speaking contact who checks everything is satisfactory and their telephone number is on the pinboard for you if there are any problems we had to ring once as the pool needed cleaning and it was being cleaned within the hour so they are very prompt in helping if anything should arrise that needs thier attention!!!!! we had a fabulous holiday on both occasions as did my sister, friend, nephews and niece on our last holiday. we will be going back to lanzarote later this year and would highly recommend either villa as they are in a convienient location to get to everything but still the area is quiet even though your not far from the centre of town. we also reccommend James villas very highly the service is excellent......
