Just back today from the wonderful villas alondra. We were there as a family of four. From the moment we arrived the staff were exceptionally pleasant and very helpful. I honestly can't fault this place at all. Our 2 bedroom suite had a private pool and was immaculately clean, very modern decor and everything you could possibly ask for. Our breakfast was included which is catered for within the restaurant El Toro within a 5 min walk..... In which again the staff are lovely and food is fantastic. The resort centre is about 3euros in a taxi and the nearest supermarket is just a short walk. We will most definitely be going back here and will be recommending to our friends and family.

If you do not need to be lodging at the beach, this is the perfect place to stay.
Among the things we enjoyed in our villa where the pool, the privacy, the spaciousness...

we used it as a couple but I can see it is a perfect place for a family if you are not afraid of your kids drowning in the pool.

All in all, if I ever go back to Lanzarote, I will stay there again. I loved our stay there!

We stayed at Villa Lily for a week before Easter. Very, very lovely villa built in the traditional hacienda style. While booking, all other villas in Lanzarote looked like bog-standard white buildings with a couple of bedrooms and a swimming pool stuck out front. But Villa Lily really stood out with its wooden decor and the rooms facing a green grassy courtyard.

Tastefully furnished, two huge bathrooms and three big airy bedrooms with a walk-in closet. Bliss! Villa was cleaned every other day and toiletries restocked. The pool is a cosy, intimate affair. Poolside had a gorgeous four-poster day bed and nice loungers. A touch of 5-star luxury. Not much space to walk around the pool though. And the pool heating mechanism seems to take up the space of a huge tank, and shares a wall with the main bedroom. A low-pitched humming noise kept us awake most nights.

Lighting needs to be updated. As all rooms face out into the courtyard, there are only shuttered doors and no windows. So the villa definitely needs more lights and brighter ones at that.

We were only three of us, so the villa felt a bit big and spooky, with creaky floorboards and heavy doors. It will be better suited for at least two families sharing, I think. The courtyard is brilliant for a cracking game of cricket and the patio/verandah is THE best place to lounge around with a glass of wine.

On the last night, I was woken by an awful stench coming from the bathroom. It was the middle of the night and we were flying out next day, so didn't really investigate. Maybe old pipes or a drain backing up...

Electricity tripped a couple of times, the doors are sticky, floors a tad bumpy. But they all add to the vintagey charm of Villa Lily. Would definitely recommend.

We have just returned from a stay in a villa - we had no 5 which was on the first row and had a sea view much to our surprise. Everything we needed was provided at the villa including robes and pool towels. The welcome pack was just what we needed after a long journey - red wine, pop, sweets, nibbles and a bottle of water!!! Although I had seen the photographs, the villa looked better in real life and was very spacious with loads of wardrobe space and lovely clean bathrooms with more than enough towels. Maid service was regular and we turned them away several times. The pool was cleaned daily too. We didn 't have it heated and to be honest, once you got in you soon acclimatised.
Dino's supermarket was only 5 mins down the hill and had plenty of choice. The walk to the old town was about 10 mins max and was not too bad coming back uphill. I was expecting to need to get taxis back, based on some of the reviews I had read, but to be honest, it was no problem for us - we live on the edge of the pennines so we're used to up hill walks!
For casual dining we ate at El Burro (just before Dino's supermarket) three times, with main courses around 6 euros and a large beer 2 euros - this made it about a third cheaper than down in the old town. On our last night, which was also our 20th Wedding Anniversary we went to El Toro, just up the road from the villas. The food was really good, service excellent and we were made to feel very special. We had the breakfast buffet there too. At 12 euros it seems steep but we never ate again until the evening.
Biosfera Shopping Mall is only about 10 mins away and is good for a spot of shopping at much cheaper prices than in England. Puerto Calero is a lovely marina just along the coast. We walked there and caught the waterbus back - fabulous.

Wow, what can I say.

The suites are very luxurious and absolutely spotless. Everything is well looked after.

The jacuzzi bath was a particular hit with my kids as was the pool. We paid extra to have it heated which is a must if you go at this time of year.

The cleaning maids are the friendliest i've come across and do an excellent job.

We cooked our own food a lot and all of the kitchen is well equipped.

As it is a gated complex, you feel extra secure at night.

The 'old town' part of PDC is about a 15 minute stroll, the new bit 10 minutes more.

This suite is definitely the most clean and luxurious i've ever stayed in.

We spend our winter holiday at Alondra Suites on 24th of march until the 7th of april. This was our third time in Alondra Suites during time period of six years. Once again we loved it! 4 Person suite is just wonderful with its spacious rooms and clothing cabinets. It is nice that you can truely unpack your belongings for your holiday. We also love the space the suite has because we travel with our golfing clubs so we apreciate the space. The Suites are in great location, just a walking distance to the supermarket and restaurants. The area is peacefull. If you want to play golf the Lanzarote Golf is only 5min drive away! As we stayed for two weeks and did quite a lot of sports we also like the fact that you can wash your clothes at the Suite (it has washing machine and dryer).
The staff at Alondra Suites is really nice and helpfull. We just love the place and will be going back again in the futere.

Alondras Suites & Villas are in our opinions, probably the best resort in Puerto Del Carmen.
First you feel very secure: the suits are in a closed complex (gates are closed at night - you open with your keys), and each suit is in its own closed area. So, you can sunbath naked by the pool if you want, high walls protect you privacy completely. We had the suit 23 (for 4 people) with heated pool (at the extra cost of 60€). The suit was fully equiped with kitchen, washing machine & dryer, bathtub, jacuzzi, shower (that never run out of hot water), 2 bedrooms, dining-room, living-room and 2 small rooms for clothes & luggages with safes. The staff is very friendly, professional & efficient - beware, only the people at the reception are multilingual, the cleaning ladies & tech staff speak only spanish. The suit was cleaned daily, as well as the pool (the pool is covered for the night every evening around 6pm - one nice touch is lights in the garden around the pool during the night).
There are some minus though: the bathtub was dirty with yellow mark inside the day we arrived (yeurk!!!) - it was fully cleaned the day after BUT, when you go to a "luxury" resort (along with the price tag), such thing should never ever happen! Then the wi-fi did not work at all. It took 3 days to be fixed, and when fixed, the connection was really weak. The tv did not work properly (blurry or snowy picture - a guy came to fix it and told us that he had to change the tv set but subsequently, nothing happened at all - we didn't use it at all during our stay). Finally, although plentifull the breakfast costs 10€/pers/day which frankly is a rip-off (you pay 2.50/3€ in town).
So, despite minor flaws, Alondras Suites & Villas is, as we said at the beginning of this review. probably the the best resort in and around Puero Del Carmen. Definitely recommended.

Room Tip: ask for an heated pool, it's a must (during the winter months)
