This is a good value for money hotel. The place is clean with very pleasant staff. The rooms are set out in a chalet fashion mainly round the pool. The food could be better, although there is plenty of choice, and if you like fish, you'll be ok. They do provide a microwave, I wish other buffets would. Our taxi driver couldn't find it so it pays to take the address and 'phone number with you.

we have just returned from a two week all inclusive holiday at this hotel booked with Jet2.com - flying from Manchester

we are experienced travellers who take several foreign holidays each year and we both feel that we have never had greater enjoyment

the hotel was refurbished last year and is clean, modern, well maintained and very conveniently situated for the beach, local shops and the bus service

the staff are helpful, willing and keen to help and the food (all buffet) is of a very high standard

the booking process via Jet2.com web site was straightforward and the facility for booking in on line -and together with the bonus of being able to print boarding passes for both outward and return journey was a great boon

On Arrival the receptiion staff were helpful, offering us some food .
Rooms clean but small aircon did have a time restriction so we complained after a couple of day it was then put on constant, the room was located in a great position over looking the pool which was great for the kids as we could watch playing in the baby pool which was the only warm pool the larger pool was always cold and not very clean, there was a young guy come around every day cleaning the pool but didn't do a very good job.

Food well this was very disapointing If you like chicken nuggets and chips for breakfast you will be ok. the rest of the meals were a bit of a mishmash Have you ever seen brusel sprouts in a salad well you will if you come here, what ever was left over from the evening meal would be mixed in the lunch time meals.
There was nothing for the children our boys the only thing they would eat was bread some chips and icecream they even got fed up with that.

Entertainment well there was 3 different entertainers which after 3 nights you was back to the same one and same songs, If I was them I would have packed up as the room emptied evertime they were on. The kids entertainer who did nothing with the kids was changed after all the complaints. The new entertainer (Tia) was great with the kids they loved it and the adults got 2 hrs free time by the pool why Tia entertained them.
Unfortunatly this was short lived (2 days) as he got moved to the sister hotel as he was socialising with us adults and all having fun.
We did have a great time though we made our own entertainment with a few of the other couples that enjoyed a laugh and joke at night. You know who your are .....you must go to bed at midnight................LOL

One last thing we did have to be aware everytime anybody was relaxing there was a big kid who just loved throwing a bucket of ice water over you or would chuck you in the pool ........mentioning no name Dean........lol

Hi Haryman, I know who u r and we'll see you at the party.

Please read Harryman's review as it has saved me lot of trouble! He was rather more polite that I could be!!!! But I'll give it a go anyway!

We did have a lovely room and it was very clean so in that respect we were pleased. The reception area and staff were also spot on as were the restaurant staff and bar staff. I'm afraid that's all the nice bits out the way!

The pool was very small and children were often frowned upon by avid, childless, sunbathers! Shame on them....

The manager needs to mange and listen to the customer because if he had he would have sacked all the entertainment team (including the children's entertainer, apparently there was one somewhere)!!!!!

The bar area was a real disappointment as it looked like a works canteen. The only reason we knew it was a bar is because of the cola machine! There wasn't a holiday atmosphere at all in this area infact all you heard were complaints. We, like Harryman, went to 'The Mucky Duck II' and enjoyed their lovely food and entertainment on more than one occasion.

The food in the hotel varied from okay to awful! The first few days were ok because I loved the salad bar and there was always squid on the menu (which we all loved). The food seemed to go downhill from day 5 and everyone was just eating out instead. This would have been ok if it was a cheap holiday but it definately wasn't! We all started to dread the meal times so much so that we didn't bother with the Hotel for the last 3 days we were there.

One 'MUST DO' is the 'Texas Ranch' night. A few familes from the hotel booked this and it was an amazing evening for everyone. Plenty of YEEE-HAAAARR!!!

To the end now (at last I hear u cry) this Hotel has actually turned us all off Lanzarote and we will never go all inclusive again.

Thanks to the lovely families we met, we enjoyed each others company and all our children got on so well . Please think carefully before booking this hotel because the majority of the people we met felt the way as us. Fuerteventura is lovely try it there instead!

positives;
the place is clean and the rooms are cleaned daily, its a modern hotel and looks nice through and through. its not a huge hotel as there are only 64 rooms but this is nice as you get to know people and it feels safe and communal. there are glass partitions that seperate the entertainment rooms so if you have kids you can watch them all the time whilst enjoying a chat or drink. its close to the beach, and a few shops and bars. you get a free hour in the spa. its close to the air port so dont book transferes, its about 10 euros in a taxi. there were always enough sun loungers for every one.

negatives;
there wasn't a great choice of food and after a few days became depressing so we went for meals out a few times. if your not fussy about what you eat and like to experiment with wierd food you should make it. there is only ice cream available at meal times so the kids cant have them through the day unless you walk to the shop. the snacks are available from 10 till 6pm and if you want them id get them in the morning as they are left there ALL day. theres pizza and sandwiches and some strange hot dogs. you have to be quiet from 11pm and they like you in bed at 12.30am which i thought was pathetic! we (and a few others) were having a laugh and chat in the smoking area and got the police called on us and sent to bed like children. there is one cleaner who got me frustrated because each time she moped the floors (which is quite often), she'd give the most horrid look when we walked over it,,,how else were we suppose to get around? the entertainment is rubbish. just a few singers who you'll see often. theres a new kids entertainer (tye) who is very nice but when we went there were only a few children as they were at school. the childrens pool is only a small circular one and the big pool is deep all over. you have to pay for the games room, i spent a lot in there on my son because there wasn't much else for him to do.

over all we had a lovely holiday and met some great people. although there seems to be a lot of negative, the only two things that really let this place down is the food and entertainment. if you've booked already dont worry about it, im sure you'll have a good time, just take extra cash to spend on a couple of meals out of the hotel. have a good holiday!!!

Travelled as a group of 5 , 2 kids, 3 adults in two rooms, one being my elderly mother.Before i go any further we are not snobs in any way, shape or form, just people who expect a decent holiday for decent money.This holiday, based on two rooms cost not much less than 4 grand ,for two weeks all inclusive,through Medinland holidays.As you can imagine we expected this to be the case.
The hotel in itself is very clean and tidy and in a central spot, in the bay of Los Pocillos, about 15 minutes "brisk walk" to Puerto del Carmen.
The positive aspects were the free flowing drink, which we did not abuse to excess, as you may expect, in fact only saw one couple drinking from morning until night, so it's not full of plonkys.

The snacks are not brilliant, they include nice fresh pizza, croissants,cakes,potato flan and sandwiches,i.e cheese and ham which you should get toasted {much better}.The so called Hot Dogs are nothing more then garlic flavoured saveloys and taste awful,do not bother,trust me.
There are no ice creams on the All Inclusive, which i find unbelievable-kids holiday, no ice cream???
Told the newly appointed manager about this and he is looking into it,only appointed on 1st August and seemed like a reasonable bloke,however he mentioned that the hotel owners do not want ice-cream spillages all over public areas, fair point but still, it's a holiday complex, they should expect this.

The entertainment is rubbish {can i say "cr*p" }and was a very dissapointing feature to our stay at this hotel.The Duo Sunlight which include a phillipino guy and african woman are the most boring and talentless performers i've seen, no chance of winning the X factor or any factor for that matter!.The other is a bloke called Danny Brown who is a cross between Luther Vandross and Alexander O'Neill.........only they can sing!! {Luther could}
They were on at least 5 TIMES EACH in our two week stay,needless to say not impressed and Manager says they are provided by an Agency and his hands were somewhat tied.Can i suggest you sack the agency and get some proper talent to entertain paying guests.

A guy called Havier who plays the electric guitar is very entertaining and actually tries to get you going, even though his UB40 classic, Red Red Wine sounds like Inspector Clouseau is singing it.His Mustang Sally is sang so quick, you'll laugh when you hear it.
He is worth watching, but the others mentioned force you to seek entertainment out of the hotel, all at extra cost, may i add!! {Many people thought this was a deliberate ploy by the hotel to save on drinks itinary}.
We watched tribute acts at the Mucky Duck 11, which were quite good, the place also does great food at reasonable cost and we ate out 4 times in total, at costs of 105,75, 50 and 60 euro, because hotel choice of food was limited to poor on those nights, we particularly did not like rabbit on the menu twice.
The meals are average and there seems to be lack of co-ordination with the dishes prepared, i.e roast turkey and veg, but no potatoes, just chips, chips and more chips!

Can't fault rooms or pool and friendly staff, i would not go back however, as we have been to much better hotels, the best being The Valentin Son Bou, in Son Bou, Menorca.,which was 100% excellent.

I heard people say, you get what you pay for, 4 Grand is quite a wedge of money, for niggling things to spoil an otherwise very nice holiday.

We were a bit wary of this place having read some negative reviews, however whilst this hotel does not come close to the best all inclusives found in the carribean, it is not bad place to stay. The rooms and the complex as a whole are very clean. It appears the hotel are very particular about this, which is a good thing. There is no mini bar in operation despite what certain literature may say. The room we stayed in was comfortable for two adults & two kids, with TV and a fridge. Very clean.
Food was fairly good. There is a relatively small choice (about 5 meals to chose from), however you have to consider they cater for 200 guests maximum, so they can't reasonably be expected to offer much more. All things considered, I wouldn't have any complaints about the food. Alcohol:- A small bar opens 10.30am till midnight. Constantly manned and a maximum of 2 minute wait to be served. No complaints at all. It's not named brand stuff, but who cares??, it does the job.
Entertainment: is average, and serves as background music only. Don't bank on this to make your night, as you'll end up disappointed.
The pool is quite small, although it's big enough to cater for the size of the hotel. If you want the best sunbeds (the ones with umbrellas), you need to be up around 7am, and then take your place after breakfast. Some people put towels down and didn't turn up till after lunch, however if you say something to the staff, they'll remove the towels.
We took our kids aged 9 & 7. The complex is safe for kids to run around while we sat in bar area, and they made friends with other kids and entertained themselves, however kids over 13 would probably get bored. The hotel is 15 mins away from town centre, 6 euros. Overall it's a good place to stay if you have young kids, assuming there are other kids for them to play with. For people who want to relax and do not much else, it's also good. Overall I found it good value for money for a week in August.
