Stayed in these apartments in early May
Weather was fantastic
Location brilliant
Quite and relaxing.
Friendly
Great to overlook the sea and hear the waves and paddle your feet in the sea.
Will be back again,
The small reception stocks the large containers of water so no carrying from the shops !!
Did not even turn on the TV.
Friendly neighbours.

Room Tip: No Pool bar here but step out of the apartments on to the strip and plenty.

There's no bar or shop in the hotel area, but that's ok, because you can find tens of shops and restaurants in just 2 minutes walk.
They do sell water in the reseption, so no need to carry
it from shops.
Well maintenad place, rooms and other areas are clean. Big room, nice bathroom and shower, you can cook your own breakfast in the kitchen.
It's very nice to have own private terrace and watch the see from it, totally relaxing.
Only minus was the noice from Galleon bar (at the main street), you could hear the right numbers when they played bingo there. They started about 10 pm, but not every night. It might be, that this problem is alreyde solved by toe hotel...
There also a pool for children and one for adults, they are ok. If you wish to swim in the sea, you'll have to walk about five minutes. Bungalows are situated at the beach, but the beach is quite rocky there. Would go back again, it's one of the best bungalows in PDC.

There is no point me writing too much as the last review says it all (thanks guys ... you've saved me a bit of time!). We were very impressed with the apartments when we saw the photos on the internet, but we can honesty say that it was even better than expected when we arrived. We didn't have an apartment on the front, but no.3 on the ground floor at the side of the main pool, which having a young child was a great location. The apartment was roomy, exceptionally clean and tidy, had TWO bathrooms (which was a surprise) and cleaned every day with towels and tea towels being replaced daily. The apartments on the front are great as you get the wonderful view of the sea/hear the waves crashing against the rocks, but even at the side in No.3 you had a good view from your roomy terrace and still heard the waves so we were not disappointed. You do get a little bit of noise (ie music) in the apartment due to Café La Ola being behind but this was really only on the Friday and Saturday evenings and it isn't heard in the front twin bedroom. The location was great with the bars and restaurants right on your doorstep. We thought we were in the main resort (as it was our first time) until we realised there was far more down the road, which was great. The beach was lovely especially the smaller beach that we used to visit a few mins down the road. We can recommend the croissants and sandwiches from the little café on the front called Lolita. We can also recommend the trip to Rancho Texas (animal park). It is only small but the animal displays (birds of prey, parrots and sealions) were great and remember to take your swimwear as the water park/pools there are worth a visit (and are included in the price which we didn't realise). I will definitely be recommending this to my friends and family and hope to go back again in the future.

Arrived Sunday 16th Feb around lunchtime. reception had been informed by e-mail, as they are only open at certain times.
I apologise firstly for mentioning "Stuff" that has already been said....but I can't praise this accomodation too highly.
Check-in was a breeze and a pleasure to meet the lovely Gabriel. YES...everyone is so friendly and attentive to any needs that you may have....it's a genuine friendship too...not false...like so many other appartments and receptions in PDC...They really are pleased to see you and welcome you to their Bungalows.
Usual deposit of 14 Euro for a safe key...which was returnable...we didn't bother with air-con or TV remote...just wanted to relax and chill-out on our wonderful balcony..No 29...which (as requested)...was totally private and right on the front of the rocky beach with its own path to the balcony door.
The appartment itself was sublime...No tacky pictures, cracked tiles or chipped fittings, marked walls or dirt anywhere!!!...Spotless and smelling lovely from fresh lemons all-over.
The beds where really comfy...as opposed to the Planks of Torture at other places we have stayed in....fresh sheets and cleanliness everywhere...again!!!
Ample wardrobe space and all lights working...Quality fitments and a lovely bathroom and shower compartment...shining with sparkle....it only makes me realise that we must have stayed in some Cess-Pits over the years.....and as anyone who has stayed here will tell you..you only get what you pay for!!
The maids visit on a daily basis, changing towels, regardless of useage and making the place "spick & Span"...for your comfort.
The balcony has views to die-for over-looking the beautiful Atlantic Ocean...again, ours was very private...and it was just devine to be lulled to sleep by the sound of the Breaking waves on the beach some 20 meters away!!!!...totally opposed to being lulled to sleep by the sound of Teenagers over-dosing on Goofy-Burgers and copious amounts of Blue Wicked!!!!
We didn't miss the Drunken eejuts trying to get-in to their appartments at "Silly-O'Clock" in the slightest......No sound from the Avenue de las Playas...at the front of the accomodation...total peace.....I cannot say enough about the quality and serenity of the place.
The nightly ritual of the Guard checking all balcony and front doors encourages you to feel safe...thank you to him..although we only heard him a couple of times....I think mainly due to the induced coma of Vodka Caramellos!!!!...and copious quantities of San Miguel!!!
We used to sneak through to Cafe La Ola for a "Snifter or dozen" along the front of the two appartments closest there-in...for convenience...and everyone used to say.."Do you stay there at Velazquez???"..to which we answered...we would not stay anywhere else!!!!...and we most certainly will return!! Everyone admires the Velazquez and rates them highly!!
Thank you to all the staff and security for making our short stay such a pleasant one...1 week is never enough!!!
WE miss you even now...and hope to return IF we can get a booking...it's sooo Gorgeous!!!
P & L No 29...The ZOGGIES.
Muchos Gracios!!!!

RESPECT XXX

We had a great time at Bungalow Velaquez in Aug 13. Great location, very clean and excellent accommodation. We had been to Puerto del Carmen a number of times before but this was the first time we had stayed at Bungalow Velaquez and it made the holiday extra special.
The staff were superb, efficient and extremely helpful.
Will be back in 2014.

Stayed here at Christmas and found it excellent. Have stayed in various hotels and apartments in PDC and nothing compares. The bungalow we had was a one bedroom with beautiful private terrace looking directly on to sea. Great to sleep at night listening to water lapping on the rocks. Staff vry helpfull and friendly. If you book directly with Velaquez you get a lovely welcome pack which was much appreciated. Our friends stayed in a two bedroom bungalow at the same time and they thoroughly enjoyed the facilities.

Room Tip: We stayed in number 29 which is a very private one bedroom and our friends stayed in number 19 which...

Bungalows Velazquez really is a little paradise situated right on the beach. My husband and I enjoyed our stay last time just so much we rebooked for our honeymoon. As our stay was for a special occasion we decided to book a 2 bedroom bungalow. We booked everything directly with them via emails and there website and it was all made very easy. We arrived in the sunshine to a beautiful apartment and we was welcomed to a lovely bottle of champagne it was such a lovely way to start our honeymoon. Our apartment was so clean and comfortable and had everything you could possible need inside to store, prepare and cook all your own food. The pool area is quiet with plenty of sun loungers. The reception staff was always very helpful and we can not thank them enough for making our honeymoon so special. We loved our stay and cant not wait to return again this year.

Room Tip: Two bedroom bungalow number 20 has a very private terrace and is very close to the sea.
