My sister and I spent two night at the hotel – a bit of a sunshine break!

We caught the No.21 bus from the airport (opposite arrivals at the far side of the car park), which was only €2.50 each, and took less than ten minutes. You need to get off at the Kontiki hotel stop (which is next door), a couple of stops after the aquarium.

We arrived at the hotel early (11am), and our room wasn't ready but we were given our all-inclusive wristbands, told where we could change (there are two large changing rooms with showers, toilets and mirrors near reception) and we left our bags in the luggage room.

An hour or so later the room was ready, and was great. I think all the rooms have a sea-view and a balcony, some have a pool view too. Safe keys were €7 for the two days, €3 of which we got back. Also, towels are €10 each deposit from reception.

The food was great - varied on the three days. All inclusive drinks include about six of the cocktails as well as the usual local spirits, San Miguel on draught and sangria, of course. There's no room service at the hotel.

Most of the visitors in the hotel were German, and I don't believe there were many other British people staying there, which makes a nice change to some other parts of Majorca. The hotel Kontiki, which is next door can be loud at times, with younger visitors, but it wasn't too intrusive.

There's a lovely boulevard of shops and cafés on the beach, which is right next to the hotel. Also, for anyone that likes late night partying we went to the Riu Palace hotel (a ten minute walk) to a club that was open till at least 3am. It had two different rooms, one with R&B and one dance music - and was really busy. Our €18 entrance fee included two drinks and a t-shirt on the Friday night!

On one of the days we caught the bus into Palma (nos.15 or 25), picked up across the road from the back of the hotel. This took about 20 minutes. Palma is lovely – narrow streets, a beautiful marina and an ancient cathedral. Well worth a visit.

I'll definitely return for a short trip.

We stayed at the hotel after reading the reviews on trip-advisor. The hotel is easy to get to from the airport using the number 21 and runs every half hour up to midnight. On arrival at the hotel we were greeted by friendly staff who all spoke good English. As it was 09.00 when we arrived we were expecting to have wait a few hours before we would get our room, but that was not the case they gave us a room there and then. The hotel also provided us with a wristband as we had gone all inclusive so we were able to go and get breakfast. The room was clean and tidy and modern. It also had a sea view as does all rooms in the hotel. The food at the hotel is very good and there is a good selection of all types of dishes and for the four nights we stayed there was always something different to eat each night. Yes there is a lot of Germans in the area and the hotel but so what? We never found it a problem as the staff we meet spoke excellent English.
The only criticism I would have is that the juice drinks at breakfast were not real fruit juice (Sunny delight springs to mind) not much of a big deal. I would not take kids there as not much for them to do except swim. The general age group of the hotel was 50+. Not sure what it would be like in High season as there were a lot of younger Germans coming in to area when we leaving and the hotels on either side cater for the 18-30 age groups and there was bit of singing going on in the nights when we were there but I would guess it was going to get worst as more arrived!
Would I go there again yes would be the answer, but not in high season. Food good/drinks good/easy to get too/Beach clean/Close to Palma/Rooms clean/Friendly staff/San Miguel on draft :)

We stayed here for 3 days with the family (2 teenagers : 15 and 16) in the Easter vacation.

Hotel is superbly located just across from a well managed beach and in a nice area of Palma.

We were fortunate to get an All Inclusive deal with the hotel.

Food was very good with ample choice.

Rooms were better than advertised with great sea views.

We hired some bikes and rode along the flat promenade which runs for 10 miles either side of the hotel. There is some great kit to hire from the shop under the hotel although you can slightly less exotic kit for half price just around the corner.

For our trip to the HM Gran Fiesta from the 23rd of Jan 2012 to 3rd February we arrived to brilliant warm weather which reflected the kind welcome and hospitality we were shown. througout our stay. The other guests were mostly German we appeared to be the only english guests.

The hotel is elegant and well maintained with lots of different types comfortable seating in the spacious public areas around the bar and reception areas. the bar and adjoining area in the hotel has good views over the sea and from its slightly elevated position overlooking the promenade and sea front. Every room in the hotel has a sea view ours was on the 4th floor (there are 3 lifts) there are 9 floors in total.

The room and bath room was kept very clean and is well maintained the decoration is not especially plush and my wife and I were accommodated in twin beds which tended to roll around a bit to much as they were on casters. and I also found the mattress a trifle firm.
Our critisim was the lack of BBC on the Satelite TV .

The food was half board on a hot and cold buffet arrangement there was a good, varied & plentiful choice of food except that beef was not served at all except at one meal during the time we were there.

Some days during our stay the weather was cool and windy the Staff coped with this by making sure that unnecessary doors were kept closed and the hotel was adequately heated.
( the heating system was particularly effective in our room and we could easily control it to suit our needs.

There was entertainment on 4 evenings.

Near to the hotel there is great variety of Bars, Cafes, Restaurants & supermarkets and in the summer discotheques Night clubs other entertainment. Cycle hire is available and the breach is spotlessly kept and mostly sand. whilst we were there a lot of establishments were closed for winter burt there was still plenty of choice of where to eat & drink. The Tourist Information Bureau is half a mile down the sea front and was open most days we were there and lots of suggestions what to do.

The location of the hotel is ideal for enjoying the beautifull tree lined 5 kilometre promenade sea and beach ( ideal for walking cycling and roller skating etc.)

The buses are very frequent from stops outside the hotel every 5 to 10 mins throughout the day and evening teminating at Palma City centre 10 miles away or Arenal the other way 2 miles away. A flat fare operates which is Euro 1.50 per person each journey. There is also a frequent service from the same stop to or from Palma Airport Flat fare Euro 2.50.
There is also a daily service direct to the Caves of Drach The bus services and Trains on Majorca are frequent and excellent and are based radiate from central bus and railway station in Palma Fares are cheap.

Ideal place for a winter holiday in the sun particularly for mature people like us.

I stayed at HM Gran Fiesta over the weekend... as this was my first trip to Mallorca or any of the Balearic islands, I didn't know what to expect. I thought the location was excellent. Right on the beach, only 10-15 minutes from the airport, and 30-40 minutes from Palma (by bus). The hotel was clean, quiet and comfortable. Perfect for a beach getaway, really! All rooms have a sea view, so it was a real pleasure. And not just the glimpse, but all of it! The food was so-so, mainly meat, potatoes and bread. I certainly missed some salads and vegetables and a good selection of fruits and fruit juices. Overall, it was a good value for money, and the location was unbeatable.

Room Tip: All rooms have a sea view, so can't go wrong with options!

Right on Beach, shops on dootstep and pubs short distance so far enough away not to be in amongst it. Only British in hotel but food varied each night to suit. Very clean and civilised hotel. Staff were excellent. Only downside is the hotel next door, Hotel Kintiki which is basically 18-30 for Germans. They are up all night and very noisy.

Room Tip: We were in room 712 on 7th floor with excellent views over pool and sea. Room nice and clean. Clean...
