This is a two star hotel, but the restaurant and bar should give it a star more. Very good breakfast and a popular bar area also visited frequently by locals. The room was simple, but clean and the bathroom well equipped. My balcony was fronting the one way street. Only a short way from the beach and stores. The area is quite.
Staff is friendly and English speaking.

The hotel was seconds from the beach, and this was by far the biggest positive of the whole hotel. When we arrived the staff were friendly and we were shown to our room. The room was bleak and stank of bleach but everything was clean. The cleaners came every morning and scrubbed the room and we received clean bedding every 3 days. The en-suite was basic, however the 'bath' is nothing more than a shower with sides. Certainly would not be able to sit in it comfortably. I would also recommend hiring a fan for your room if staying through the summer. We stayed through early August and the nights were unbearable without a fan to keep us cool.
The hotel bar was brilliant for a cheap drink by the pool before an evening out. The vodkas were so strong (around 4 shots in just one glass) and certainly worth the money. The pool seemed clean and well kept. There was a pool table and table tennis beside the pool which was always popular.
We didn't eat at the hotel on any of the nights as there was a fabulous restaurant across the road from the hotel. The restaurant had such friendly staff and the food was phenomenal. Large servings and lovely starters, it is certainly worth the 11euros per person.
The beach itself was just seconds from the hotel and it is certainly a beautiful beach. Lovely white sand and clean blue sea. We felt very safe on the beach, and it's very well accommodative as there are many beach huts filled with ice cream, drinks and food. There are many activities to do along the parade. There were bikes for hire for 5euro a day and many water sports to carry out. There is certainly a lot to do along the beach and many cheap shops selling food, clothing and beach essentials. There is also a large supermarket around 5minute walk from the hotel.
Unfortunately the main city of Palma is a bus journey away and there is certainly no way I'd wish to walk the journey as it did take about 45minutes by bus. The city itself was beautiful and there were so many lovely shops to wonder around. Plus there were many activities and museums.
The hotel is super near the airport but in all the best possible ways. It is just a 20minute bus ride/taxi journey however the planes were not taking off over the hotel so we were not disturbed by any of the flights.
The hotel certainly draws a young crowd and the walls are very thin. We could hear music and conversations from our neighbours, but we were blessed with the fact they favoured drinking out and came home quietly. I wouldn't recommend this hotel if you're looking for a quiet holiday break. However, I stayed there with my boyfriend and although the nights were a little hot and noisy. generally the hotel worked as a good base for our holiday. We spent little time there and instead spent our days enjoying the amazing weather and beautiful scenery.
I would recommend this hotel for a bargain break filled with friendly staff and a happy vibe. However I wouldn't recommend Raxa for families or a romantic getaway.

The rooms were basic for the price but clean with TV and you could plug an Mp3 player into them also.

Only a 2 minute stroll to a fabulous clean beach with pubs, clubs and shopping at close hand also.

Me and my friend stayed here for one week in June and it wa awesome! Well, the rooms aren't the best, quite low standard and no AC but you can rent a fan for 15€ a week or buy one yourself. If you are not so needy about the room, the staff are so kind and helpfull and it's a local place for the Spanish inhabitants around the village! You can find Spanish restaurants very close by and also tourist places not to far away, 5 min walk. You can find the bus-stop just around the corner which will take you to Palma or the airport for 1,50€ and the beach is 3 min away. So if your are not looking for a too fancy stay but a very nice area with a lot of nice people I strongly recommend this place!!

Good position to the beach and the seafront but not so close to the city center.
The hotel is well connected with other seaside of the island. The best positions for the "movida" are Magalluf and Palmanova and this hotel in located in the opposite side, but in the mid between Palma city and the wonderful bay of Es Trenc, Ses Covetes.
Swimming pool, staff available to help you. Rooms cleaned but basic. Hotel noisy considering the closeness with the airport.

We stayed at this hotel for 1 week over the New Year period. We didn't really expect too much from this hotel as it was very cheap....a clean, comfy bed and a shower/loo.....as we didn't intend spending our time in the hotel whatever the weather turned out to be.
The hotel was very basic and our room was ok..........enough hanging space, comfy beds, balcony.........but although it was cleaned on a daily basis (apart from NY day which is fair enough) it was clean at a first glance but during our stay I noticed blood marks on a couple of walls, build up of fluff and grit on floor corners so a bit of a heavier clean was in order. Our room was on the first floor and and we got a lot of noise coming from the bar area below us so I dread to think how loud it is in the summer months!
We didn't choose to eat in the hotel but we did however, look forward to a cuppa in the morning (like most people) but the manager (and wife) of the hotel never appeared until approx 9.30am most mornings (more on this later). There were no other staff apart from a cleaning maid and as the manager, Vince, didn't live in guests had to wait until he arrived before getting a drink or breakfast. Maybe it was like this due to the time of year and is hopefully better run in the summer months, but the hotel was full and a better service should have been provided.
Our main complaint was that on New Years Eve the whole ground floor of the hotel was closed off after lunchtime to prepare for a party.....but not for the guests....for Vince's family and friends. No guests could use any of the facilities (which were few) should they want to. There was no notice of explanation available or notification as to when access was going to be available to guests again. We were pretty annoyed at this and I am sure other guests were too. Most of the other guests were German so we never really interacted with them due to the language barrier. On NYE we went out for a meal and although we had decided to go to bar (Flip Flop....recommended) to celebrate, as the evening wore on we got tired and decided on an early night so we returned to the hotel where the 'private party' was in full swing and fairly noisy as we could hear it from our room. At 1130pm and not being able to sleep due to the noise from downstairs we decided to gatecrash :)....we were welcomed in with open arms and invited to share all the celebrations with everyone. They were very friendly and we had a lovely time....so many thanks to Vince and his lovely wife and family/friends.
After a lovely evening of celebrations Spanish style it was back to a closed off hotel the next day. It was shut to all guests again and no staff, apart from a cleaner who was there for a couple of hours clearing up after the party, all day!
Apart from the hotel the rest of our stay was first class. The weather was unusually warm ( 68-70deg)and brilliant blue skies everyday. At a guess I would say that about half of the towns bars and shops were closed for the season but many were still open for business as usual. Our favourite bar was The Mediterrani Cafe on the sea front. Friendly staff who spoke very good English and the food was delicious......my Spaghetti Carbonara was the BEST I have ever tasted and I would return there anyday for another bowl of it!! There were plenty of bars/cafes round the corner from the hotel which were open everyday all day and great food was found in most of them. We would also recommend the Flip Flop bar in Can Pastilla where the service and hospitality are very good.
All in all we had a great much needed holiday after the stress of Christmas and dull British weather and the resort was charming and not crowded but we wouldn't holiday there in the summer months as it would be too busy for us.
Hotel Raxa???? Lovely owners/managers but disappointing apart from the NY celebrations....and a word of advice to Vince.....if you are not going to open until 9.30am whatever time of year then please supply tea/coffee facilities in the rooms as an alternative and to stop people like us moaning!!
