“Absolutely Incredible”

We found this place by chance. While looking for a golf holiday to places we have never been, we found this B & B through a link on the golf course site. Our main reason for booking here was the price. IT wasn't much more than the hotels in the area and it was a perfect spot for the 2 courses we were going to. Our biggest complaint was that we did not stay 2 nights.

It is located approx 5 km from the main town site of Fort Qu'Appelle but in a cottage, lake home area on a winding road that has many twists and turns. It is easy accessable as it is right on a corner and only a couple of blocks from a public beach if youwant to take a swim in the lake. There is ample room for parking which was great as we had our pickup truck.

This B&B used to be a corner store with living quarters above it. The owners renovated the store space to a 2 room, 2 bathroom, 2 living room and common kitchen areas. Both bedrooms are large with a queen size beds, dressers and an armour and lots of room. Beside each bedroom is a full bathroom with shower, tub, toilet and sink. There is also a separate sitting area that allows you to relax on a sofa recliners watching the TV. Both sitting areas are far enough away from each other that it is like you have a separate living areas from other guests. (If you like)

The back yard of this B&B is another highlite to this property. Contained within the fence yard is a large sitting area with patio table, a hot tub and plenty of plants. The yard is immaculate and on a hot summer day, offers plenty of spaces for sitting under the trees enjoying the shade or walking on a very lush lawn. Unfortanately for me, my wife has decided our back yard needs a face lift. (Thanks Mike)

The hot tub is not chlorinated, nor is it salt water. IT is treated through an "Ionizing" system. What we knew for sure was we could enjoy the hot tub for several hours and have no chlorine smell on our suits or skin and we didn't need to shower afterward. The system kept the water very clean and clear. We have been in many different types of hot tubs and this was the best one by far. How ever the system works, it was a great way to unwind after a hot day on the golf course.

Another nice feature we liked was the breakfast upstairs in their kitchen and they joined us. It was nice to hear the stories of the area and share in great conversation.

As said earlier, this house is located a couple of blocks from a beach. It was another nice feature for those that want to enjoy the sunshine, the sand and the water. It isn't a big beach but plenty of space for swimming and laying on the beach.

We so enjoyed this place that we are planning another golf holiday to this part of Saskatchewan only we will locate our courses within easy distance of this B&B so we may enjoy several days of this great hospitality.

Room Tip: If you like to golf, within the area there are 2 great golf courses; Echo Ridge in the town site of...

I've never stayed in a B&B with so many amenities. A bedroom, bathroom, living room and use of a full kitchen, with tea coffee hot chocolate all at the ready. The hosts were most gracious and helpful. The bedroom offered storage space galore. It felt like a full apartment. Breakfast was great and they accommodated my personal preference in that regard.

Bedrooms are on the main floor, breakfast served upstairs. There are a couple of friendly cats. I have stayed in many B&B's over the years, and this one is one of the best.

Room Tip: There are two bedrooms, much alike, very comfortable. The one closest to the road has easiest acces...

The home is situated in an idyllic spot just out of Fort Qu'Appelle and has been lovingly rebuilt by the owners. There are two guest bedrooms each with their own private bathroom just outside the rooms. The decor is very tasteful and Mike is obviously an accomplished woodworker. There are also two guest sitting rooms adjacent to the bedrooms and a big hot tub in the lovingly tended garden.

We slept well in the comfortable queen bed, and ate very well at breakfast when Mike prepared a delicious quiche. All the trimmings were available and we did not need lunch that day! We are experienced B&B'ers, both in Canada and Europe and would highly recommend this to fellow travellers.

Room Tip: Both rooms are lovely.
