This is an extremely pleasant and very welcoming Hotel, I can't fault this hotel or food it's first class, also there is a great pub and restaurant across the car park which is an I dependant and not a typical chain and the food selection is vast and very reasonably priced, have eaten here a few times and have not been disappointed

Would highly recommend both the Hotel and pub

Room Tip: So far all the rooms have been to a great standard but not sharing my favourite as it will end up be...

The Pastures is quite and nice looking property and the staff are friendly. There is a decent size car park wth a pub opposite.

The reception area is quite small but furnished with some comfortabe chairs and sofas.

The room was fairly large and quite sparsely but adequately furnished with a comfortabe bed.

The bathroom had a double sized shower which was a bit ike a Katy Perry song - it kept going Hot and Cold. A colleague staying on the same floor also experienced the same issue so it may be a problem. The towels have seen better days and were like sand paper.

I didn't try the WiFi but colleagues who stay on a regular basis say it is a bit hit and miss.

I ate in the hotel restaurant with coleagues and the food was pretty poor. I had a bland bowl of pureed mushrooms which was supposed to be soup followed by chicken breast stuffed with feta cheese and wrapped in Parma ham was was so overcooked it was bone dry and all of the cheese had melted out.

Breakfast is a buffet with a good selection of hot and cold choices.

Overall the hotel is prety good value for money and a offers a bit more character than some of the other budget chain hotels.

There is no on site leisure facility but you can use the "nearby" Dearne Valley Leisure Centre which I chose not to use as it was recommended that I drive there and I didn't have enough time.

Lovely hotel - ideally situated next to the pastures lodge pub serving good food at a reasonable price. Facilities were clean and well decorated although there was no hairdryer provided which came as a surprise as they are standard at holiday inn hotels. The ONLY reason I would not book a room at this hotel again is due to the incredibly uncomfortable beds and bedding, the mattress was so uncomfortable both my husband and I kept waking up in pain (we are a healthy 35yr and 36yr old), The quilt was heavy and cumbersome and the pillows were also too firm. I would book this hotel again ONLY after they have replaced the beds and bedding, quite shocked that a hotel would not make the comfort of their beds a priority.

very clean and tidy hotel, rooms are large with comfortable beds and pillows, breakfast was good for a standard buffet option. I ate my evening meal in the pub which is part of the hotel, the food was poor, plenty of it it but not very good quality, would recommend the dining service in the actual hotel if you prefer quality nice food. Staff were very helpful and polite. would stay here again as it a good hotel for the price.

Always enjoy staying at the Pastures hotel.
It is clean, comfortable and the staff are very friendly and professional.
I think that this is probably our 5th visit and
have never been disappointed.
Whilst this is a busy hotel with what looks like a vibrant restaurant we have always found that this does not impinge on the comfort of the room which remains quiet and restful.
I would recommend any fellow traveller to include breakfast as it is great value and sets you up for the day.

Have to say that this one of the best hotels that I have had the pleasure so staying in. I pretty much lived in the hotel for 3 weeks due to business.
It was genuinely a home from home. The reception staff are fantastic and went out their way to make sure that I enjoyed my stay.
The rooms are lovely. I was in a twin room to begin with and was then upgraded to a family room.
I would advise that if you don't drive this is awkward to get to but only 15 mins in a taxi from Doncaster.
The pastures lodge across from the hotel is very much like a brewers fayre. The food is outstanding and the portions are massive. I would suggest starving yourself all day if you plan on having a 3 course meal.
I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone
