Stayed here with the family . The whole place is absolutely spotless. Fantastic welcome, pot of tea and homemade tea loaf. Such comfortable beds and a superb cooked breakfast with some of Helen's homemade plum jam. Beautiful views, peace and quiet, beautiful old farm house set in well kept grounds. Helen and Nick made us feel like old friends - just wonderful. Will certainly stay there again and highly recommend it.

Room Tip: we had 3 rooms all of which were very comfortable. Views across to welsh hills from the from and ba...

In 2010 I stayed at Hampton House for six months whilst working in the area, and whenever I am in the area and need a room for the night I always try here first. My last stay was last week (the first week of June 2014) with my wife. We were driving from Dundee to Dorset, having come down the M6 from the borders, to get onto the A41 and see the Cheshire countryside was a welcome change. Having not booked anywhere, we arrived on the doorstep at Hampton House and were warmly welcomed by Helen and Nick. We were invited into the kitchen (regulars only!)and provided with Tea and fruit loaf - homemade by Helen.

As always, the bedroom was clean, the bed comfortable and the location relaxing and peaceful, waking to the sound of birdsong in the garden. Breakfast was cooked to order and is served at a communual table with other guests - so there is always conversation and some light banter with Nick as he waits on table. Nick and Helen are the perfect hosts with a fantastic home which they share with you.

Would we stay again? A resounding yes. Anytime we are in the area.
As the sytem only allows one selection for type of trip - for clarity I have stayed here in the past - Business, Couples and Solo and have stayed in almost every room in the house!

Room Tip: All rooms are good - my favourites are: top of stairs first right - overlooking the farm yard and ga...

Booked at the last minute for a night's stay on the way back from Chester, this B&B was a fantastic surprise. We arrived after dark and after a good night's sleep (in extremely comfortable beds) woke to birdsong and a gorgeous view with snow covered hills in the distance.

The owners were friendly, chatty and provided an excellent breakfast with homemade jam, marmalade and fruit compote, as well as friend bread, bacon, egg, sausage etc, all beautiful cooked and presented.

Our twin bed room was in the old part of the house, with ancient beams running across the ceiling. If the walls could talk I'm sure they'd have plenty of tales to tell - our hosts estimate the house to be several hundred years old - much older than it looks from the outside.

A little slice of heaven and a lovely stay. Thank you.

Very warm welcome from a lovely couple, offered coffee and homemade fruit loaf on arrival in front of a roaring log fire. We were in a kingsize room with en-suite, there are tea/coffee facilities in the room with a selection of tea/coffee/hot chocolate. Large en suite with toiletries if you happen to forget yours. Breakfast was great, fruit, cereal, yoghurt, orange juice, full English and toast and homemade jam. Would recommend and will definitely return.

Extremely welcoming and pleasant stay. Myself and my Girlfriend stayed on Saturday 9th and could not ask for a better place to stay. Nick and Helen are very lovely and helpful, the farm house is very accommodating and warm feeling. Loved everything, from the great breakfast to waking up in a warm room overlooking the countryside. Will be visiting them again and suggest any couple to do the same!

Room Tip: Ask for the Super King Side beds! Bring your walking boots, lovely walking area!

Me and a bunch of colleagues kipped overnight at Hampton House the night before we did the Tough Mudder North West, which was just ten minutes away in the car. Helen and Nick were gracious and warm with their welcome and made us all feel right at home. Tea and biscuits in the lounge upon arrival (jammy dodgers - yes!) and comedy one-liners from Nick left us all feeling we'd just rocked up at our favourite aunt and uncle's place for the weekend :)

We headed out for dinner, but were equipped with both directions and torches by our hosts, as well as a choice for breakfast the following morning (full english was offered, but we opted for porridge and fruit for our challenge). Beds were comfy and rooms were supplied with tea and water, and again - it didn't feel like a BnB at all; it felt like home.

Best of all? Our hosts let us come back the following afternoon, after we'd checked out, so we could clean up after our run. Amazing service.

I would definitely stay again and, if we do Tough Mudder next year, we'll be booking in at Hampton House as soon as we buy our tickets.

Room Tip: Some rooms have en suite, make sure you get one that does!
