work away from home a lot and wanted a nice holiday with my partner and 3 young children, when we arrived in Tenerife my partners bag was pinched at the airport so the holiday was off to a bad start. When we arrived at the Villa Luis was there to meet us and are holiday all started to go good, Luis was very friendly and help full, we had asked Luis to make sure the POOL was heated for when we arrived (The pool was beautiful and VERY warn even for me as I had come from the middle east where temp was 45 degrees). My kids were straight in the pool and the only way i could get them out was to tell them that we would go to the games room which is down stairs from the living room and outside of the kitchen is a secure play area with toys for the smaller kids which my daughter and 3 year old loved.
We have a lot of friends in Los-Christianos so we like to go there a lot but could not get there till late afternoon as my kids did not want to leave the Villa, we asked Luis if it was OK to invite some of our friends up to the Villa on the second last night for a BBQ and he was more than happy for us to bring are friends up, Luis came to the Villa the next day and brought us a bottle of Bubbly and new cutlery set for having the BBQ, Luis also arranged for a late checkout at 21:00 hrs. as are flight back to the UK was Not till 23:20. My favorite place was chilling out on in the Thai style house outside were I could keep an eye on my children in the pool and relaxing on the outside siesta bed.
Overall we have been to Tenerife 5 times this year and stayed at 5 different Villa's and this one is the best we have stayed at and look forward to returning.
Thanks Luis and look forward to coming back when I’m free from work. Lee

We had a wonderful stay at the villa zen, which provided everything you need for a luxurious and relaxing family holiday.
Our 3 children aged 6,5 and 3 really enjoyed the space and little "magical zones" that have been created. From day one they took over the Balinese Pagoda were they would relax, have a snack or play whenever they werent swimming in the heated pool. If they wanted a change of scenery they would head off to the library area with water fountain or the downstairs courtyard playroom filled with toys. With our supervision they would also venture to the top floor room that was unused by us to enjoy the balcony with sunset views and indoor hanging seats. Plenty of DVDs were also provided that the children enjoyed while Mum and Dad either prepared dinner or got ready to go out. Having a triple room next to the master bedroom is also ideal because our 3 girls could share a room knowing we were just across the hall.
As for us aldults, well when the children are happy then the parents can relax. Lovely BBQ area, fully equiped kitchen and great outdoor dining area for when eating in. We didnt try any of the Adeje restaurants as on the few nights we went out we decided to drive 5mins down to the coastal town of Caleta which has some lovely restaurants. Playa de las Americas is about 10mins drive and has easy seafront parking and lots of more touristy restaurants but we only ventured down there for a walk along the seafront and an icecream.
This villa really does offer a lot, especially for a family of 5. The space made such a difference to us especially when comparing to what you get from a hotel. Overall excellent stay and all that was missing was a little less cloud on a few days but cant blame the villa for that!

We arrived a day late because of illness and the villa owner Luis was there to meet us. However, finding this villa from the airport proved to be a difficult experience. This villa is advertised on holiday lettings as Costa Adeje but it's definitely not in Costa Adeje, it's in fact in Adeje old town in a suburb called Los Olivos. The taxi driver dropped us off at apartments Los Olivos in Costa Adeje which is 10 mins taxi ride away by mistake. We eventually had a taxi driver who knew where it was and when we arrived at the villa we were astonished at how remote and out of town it was.
The villa itself when we were shown around was very nice on first impression. The outside space really is the best thing about the villa and is tranquil. The rooms inside were nicely furnished and there was a nice secure outside space for kids to play in which was nowhere near the pool. Having said that when we were unpacking and got to take in our surroundings a bit better we started to note the things that were wrong with the villa.
There are a lot of stairs (4 flights) and the entrance to the villa itself was a hazard. A slope so steep and slippery really could be a risk to elderly and young. The fact that this villa was advertised as good for people with poor mobility is ridiculous. The stairs out of the pool are not very good either as the distance between the penultimate and last step is quite a big stretch for anyone. For children this would be an issue. There were ample sun beds outside and although comfortable there was no parasol. The only shade available was in the corner daybed area but that had sharp steps leading up to it and a possible safety risk for children. It gets so hot in the solarium area so you need shade to lie in. Having said that, the outside dining area was up a few stairs where you still felt part of the sunbathing group.
The pool was 2 metres deep and had no shallow end, it was all 2 metres which we felt was again not ideal.
We are two 31 year olds so we had no children but my wife was pregnant which is why we were scrutinising the safety issues more so.
When we ventured out to Costa Adeje it was 7€ which was ok but everytime we got in a taxi home they didn't know where to go. We got taken to apartments Los Olivos again! This was very stressful and expensive.
As this villa is in a residential area there was quite a bit of noise throughout the day but nothing to keep you awake at night. The supermarket is a 5 min walk up quite a steep hill so again not good for people with mobility issues! The taxi rank was also next to the supermarket but sometimes there would be no taxis. The villa owner told us that the bus takes you into town but we didn't feel we could trust him after the inaccuracies in his villa advert.
We found Luis to be lovely on arrival and spoke excellent english but there was a lack of response when we tried to contact him over one or two issues. The tv wasn't hooked up properly and couldn't get the DVD to work so we raised this with him only for Luis to send round Alberto the gardener/pool cleaner and his PR person! His English wasn't very good so this was annoying as he couldn't sort out the TV issues. We contacted Luis after Alberto failed to sort the problem out and his response was unsatisfactory to say the least "It was working before!" he said. I sorted the TV/Satelite problem out myself but was told by Luis the DVD remote was broken by previous guests. I know it's a small thing but it was the principle that this was obviously not important enough for him to deal with promptly and also it is obvious that he knew the DVD remote was broken and had given us some other remote not designed for a DVD player and no batteries.
I told him this type of service was not efficient. No reply. When we asked about dropping off the keys we were told he was in Madrid for 2 days so to give them to Alberto. He did allow us a late check out I must say which as our return flight was not until 9.45pm this was appreciated.
To summarise, a nice Balinese outside sunbathing area but this is really the only highlight. Poor location, no bars or shops nearby (except local residential places) and bad access into the villa means this was miss sold to us and we won't be returning or recommending this villa to people old or young.
